Welcome to Dreams! / constantly lucid
April 09, 2003, 04:40:28
Hi Myke, I couldn't resist responding. I'm crazy over LDs. I'm reading a book right now called 'Dream Gates'. It's very very good. It's a guide for the advanced dreamer. He gives wonderful instructions on how to take various spiritual journeys through dreams. He's a shaman at heart. It's so comforting to read, knowing that there actually are people who can accomplish those kinds of things. There always seems to be a wall dividing dreamers and projecters (from people I've known). This guy knows both worlds. ...I'm rambling on! Nice to meet you.

Welcome to Astral Chat! / my art website

Thanks for replying! This is my favorite site to go to. It's like a home to me. I always come here to read, especially when I need to be comforted. Reading the responses makes me feel soooo wonderful! I love finding out about other artists too. ...Kodemaster, kinda goofy website, but it totally fits the theme. Good job! I like your work. ...x-wolf, I'll take your advice. I was actually wondering about that, and how other people saw the site. If there's anything else please let me know.

Welcome to Astral Chat! / my art website

Thanks everyone. I think I need to go to my server's page and change a few things. Perhaps it has something to do with countries people live in.sahlyn, warped fantasy sounds awesome! I heard oils are great too, but I haven't played around with them yet. I'm just starting to learn about an oil marbling technique. Hopefully I'll figure it out.

That's good to know. I really liked the samples they have available. I know everyone has differant tastes in music. I just didn't want them to be repetitive. ...How in the world did you get access to an EEG machine? That's awesome! I'd love to hear more about that and the results.
#55
You're probably right Tom. It has been a long time since I read the book. I read an article about it a while back where he stressed doing the technique for a short amount of time. Every time I tried to project consciously, I'd have some kind of problem. I took a break to try to enhance other things. Maybe it's time to try it again. Who knows!

Welcome to Dreams! / I cant do it anymore.....
March 10, 2003, 05:15:42
Do reality checks during the day. If you get into a habit of questioning reality, you'll do it when you dream too. There are a lot of differant ways to do them, so you'll never get bored. Ask yourself questions, like the five W's (where, when, who, how, and why)You could stop what you're doing, and examine your surroundings. (When I do this in dreams, it's magical.) See where you are, and make sure that objects don't move.Pretend that you are dreaming and imagine what you can do.Use affirmations. Now, if you decide you don't want to do reality checks, keep a dream journal. That should help your dream recall, and you'll start having ld's again.

I hear ya. Sometimes I want to believe it's something spiritual. It would be cool if it was a sign of our sight being advanced. Most of the time, I notice it when there's a dark background. For example, the tracers are crazy when I pet my black cat. Perhaps any moving object with a contrasting background would produce the effect. I think it's probly more likely that it's caused by drug use.Any sober people out there?

I think that if you can do the rope technique for hours, it would be relaxing, but not successful. It's not meant to be done in moderation. You should go for it with all your will for about two to three minutes at the max. If you are determined, and you still didn't project, take a break and try again later. Furix, take it easy on the monkeys.

Welcome to Metaphysics! / What about Scrying?
March 05, 2003, 02:43:59
A few years back I became interested in scrying. I never had the patience or discipline to keep it up. I just couldn't stay in a quiet dark room trying to perceive something from the mirror. In my opinion, I'd rather focus on other methods of finding devine information. I think meditation and remote viewing could be even better then scrying. You wouldn't have to worry about getting the lights right, and other elements creating a comfortable setting. However, I would like to share how I made a scrying mirror to anyone interested. Don't spend $200 at your new age shop! Go buy a picture frame. Any size will do, preferrably larger then 10". You'll also need black spray paint. Take the glass out of the frame and paint one side of it. After it dries, assemble the frame with the unpainted side facing you. That's all! I think this is one of the best tools of scrying, because you can go big. You don't have to use a small crystal ball, or a bowl.

Welcome to Astral Chat! / map project?
March 05, 2003, 01:46:16
OK, thanks for clarifying that, Tom. I appreciate it. My mind was going crazy thinking about all the possibilities of a 'map project'. Do you know who's going to write this book? Is it R. Bruce?

Welcome to Dreams! / What do you do when lucid?
January 06, 2003, 04:01:07
Jason, Could you explain how you leave the dream and go into the RTZ? That's very interesting. I've been experimenting with dreaming lately. I think visiting the astral realms from a dream would be easier to accomplish then going into the RTZ. What do you think? I can't imagine doing that. Maybe it would take a higher level of lucidity. Give us more details!

#62
So, you're suddenly interested in lucidity, huh? Wonderful!  I've just finished a book called "The Lucid Dreamer', by Malcom Godwin. If you get a chance, you should check it out. It's not like a regular dream book. They tend to be boring and scientific. This author writes about people who are spiritually powerful (as well as the usual dream stuff). He has information about shamans, aborigines, medicine men, etc. and how they use dreams for power. He has a nuber of excersizes to try. To answer your question, the moment I have a feeling that it might be a dream, I immediately become lucid. Sometimes I never Question it, or test it. When I was first starting my practices, the dream sequence would be very short. I would also wake up from excitement.  Through practice you will learn tricks to gain control in all aspects.

Good question.I think shows and movies got me interested in parapsychology when I was a kid. I became curious about theories, psychic phenomenon, etc. So, at the age of sixteen, I discovered that my grandfather was a very spiritual person. That was the year that I spent at least a month visiting my grandparents in MN. We also went to our home country, Denmark, for a month. All that time I had plenty of books to read. They were all old books, but they started my long windy road. My beleifs have changed many times since then, but that's life!

Welcome to the Healing place! / for a friend
December 17, 2002, 03:32:21
You sound like a wonderful friend! Sending healing energy long distance is something I'm not used to. If enough love and light is sent, we can make something happen. I'll pray for your friend. All Jolenes should stand together!...ok, I know that's cheesy, but I've only known two other people to have my name. Write back and give us updates on how she's doing.

#65
I've had the experience of 'knowing' something many times. I've heard that they are messages from any sort of higher power.  It's like a gift for you to have. You catch a glimpse of it, then settles into your subconscious. So, in my opinion, it means that you're growing as a spiritual being. I'm sure the message will resurface when it needs to.wisp, who says you have to see the future in the akashic records? Whatever you chose to learn about is up to you.

#66
Wow, Jeff you should tell her! Sharing this kind of thing with your lover could be very rewarding. Kodemaster, I also have difficulty talking with people. For the most part, I think it would be wonderful to share the information so others could practice also. I feel so selfish keeping this to myself. I bought extra copies of Astral Dynamics just so I could at least share it with my mom and sister. They are interested in all kinds of new age phenominon. I think it's been at least six months and both of them refuse to read it (although they say they want to).  I've concluded that it may be a waste of time/ energy to talk to others at this point in time. They'll aproach the subject when they are ready. However, this is coming from someone who is far from being a social butterfly!

#67
That's an interesting question. I think Tom has a good point on this. In my opinion, the idea of having one soul mate is out of the question.  It may be a possibility to meet a lover from a past life, but that doesn't mean you have to be with that person again in a romantic way. I think a person has a group of beings who he/she choses to stay with for a while (a few lifetimes).

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Dream Log
November 26, 2002, 00:18:18
Here's a technique you might like to try:  if you wake up in the middle of the night with a dream, make yourself stay awake for five to ten minutes. If you think about the dream over and over, it will leave an imprint. You should still have it when you wake up. This way you can fall back to sleep easier.  It works every time I use it!

Welcome to the Healing place! / For me..
November 19, 2002, 02:04:19
Blossom, I haven't read this whole thread, but I do have advise for you. There's a product that I'm using called RELIV.  It's a wonderful mix of a lot of vitamins and herbs. It's in powder form, so you can mix it in with the drink of your choice. It sounds like it would taste very gross...but it doesn't!  I'm young and don't have many health problems, so I haven't noticed much of a difference. I do know other people in my life who have been taking it, and it's cured them. My sister doesn't get headaches any more, her back pain is gone, my mother's hot flashes are less severe. I've heard about miraculous healings from people who use the stuff. I don't know if all of it is true, but it's worth a try, isn't it?  ...I'm sorry I didn't read your post earlier!

Welcome to Dreams! / Tried to Lucid dream
November 14, 2002, 20:40:57
Hi auraseer,  It usually takes people a few months of training before having a lucid dream. If you've never had one before, the first one may be difficult.  The technique you are using is a good one. You should stay awake for about ten to twenty minutes before falling back to sleep. Imagine all the things you could do in a dream. Fantasize! Let your imagination take control for a while. Then fall asleep and see what happens.  Just like OBEs and projections, they don't happen magically overnight.

Welcome to Dreams! / Hello
November 05, 2002, 01:57:24
Well, you must care about your dreams, because you go lucid so often.  So, if you care that much, you can make the effort to try new things.  I came across this problem, although I don't have lucid dreams that often.  I realized a pattern that I have.  After becoming aware of the dream, I just follow a habit, and hardly experiment with things.  So, in waking life I've started a journal of things that I'd like to try. It gets your imagination going. Also, I check out LD sites to get ideas from other people.   ... I believe that this ability  opens you up to other phenominon.  Projections and LDs go hand in hand.

Welcome to Dreams! / Hello
November 03, 2002, 22:48:43
Geese, I guess you do go lucid a lot. You have good ideas. I usually fly around, or play with reality (stretching glass, making things melt, etc.).  You've come to the right place if you want to learn about projection.  Robert Bruce has a lot of articles on this site. You can also read all the experiences posted here in the forum.  I got some good advise from Frank on how to project from a dream. After you go lucid, physically stop what you are doing and clear your mind of thoughts and emotions. After everything is still, your dream environment is supposed to fall. Then you should be in an astral environment. I think Bruce's technique is to create a doorway and walk through it. Let me know if you try, ok?

Welcome to Dreams! / Hello
November 03, 2002, 02:15:50
Welcome!  It's wonderful seeing another dreamer on the team! I like your ideas about giving yourself super powers. I've been having lucid dreams now for a few years. I can relate to 'being bored' in them.  However, there are always things to do.  I am also impressed that you mentioned healing others in dreams.  I use to control people, and tell them to do things (because I believed they were my creation in dreams).  ...Now, I've been respecting them as real people.  Anyway, I'll look forward to your posts.  Have you ever tried projecting from a dream?

#75
Yes, everyone experiences this state. It's a naturally phase you go through before falling asleep. There's also the hypnopompic stage: the dream images you experience before waking up.  I hope I didn't switch the words around. I often get them mixed up, because to me the states are very similar.  People usually don't recognize or don't remember the hypnogogic state, because it triggers sleep. You can train yourself to become more aware of your dream images.
