1  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Astral Projection Experiences! / Paintcrop, the astral city? on: March 05, 2004, 09:26:55
It's a place I've been visiting. A city apparently called Paintcrop. Usually when I go there I'm in a half-lucid state, where I'm in control of my actions but lost most of my identity. Still this morning, minutes ago, when drifting in the twilight zone of dream and awakedness, I suddenly ended up in that place. I recognized it, having referred to it as 'the city' up until now. I was standing in a central square, and some people approached me. They seemed to somehow know me. I was looking around, recognizing every bit of the place and knowing what lies just out of sight. After all, I had been there.
I ask the first person near me "What's the name of this city?" but I get no response. Just timid looks and people seemingly frightened by me. I ask some other people nearby what the name of this city is. Same response. Running over a pile of snow I find a small mock choir, looking like they were singing Christmas songs. I shout "What is the name of this city!?" and they all turn to look at me like I'm mad. Then, unexpectedly, one of the individuals who approached me early on came back. "Paintcrop" he stated, grinning wide for a reason unknown to me. "The city's name is Paintcrop". I got the impression he had gathered a lot of courage in telling me this and was now rather proud of himself.

I decide to check out a place I've been to before. Had some unfinished business there. A very tall yet old building, maybe 12 stories high. The lowest parts of the building is a shopping mall, while the upper part seems to be abandoned.
"Where are you going?" the same man asks.
"To that building," I reply. "Got some unfinished business to take care of since last time I was here."
"You've been here before? What happened?"
"I died." He seemed surprised. "Fell off that building." I pointed at the 12 story one.
Now I found a high barrier that had not been there before. Maybe twice my height. The other guy started climbing over it, while I jumped up, grabbed a light post and slid down with it. I now got the impression the rather economically powerful individual I had battled with last time I was here, the owner of the 12 story building, was up to something sinister. With that, I decided it was time for a bit of revenge.
Unfortunately slightly after this the world faded and I found myself back in bed. Got up and scribbled down "Paintcrop".

An odd thing is that I speak Swedish, yet the name of the city is rather obviously in English.

And I also just remembered while writing, I had made my way to the square through a residential area covered with snow that I had not seen before. It seemed to be overcast and daytime there, while in the city it was night. It is probably two different places since when at the square and looking back I could see a building I'd visited before that was different from the path I had just walked.
Also, just when entering the residential area... come to think of it, it could have been some part of the place I live in. I have not been here too long, so that might be why I didn't recognize it. Anyway, when entering, I felt as if it was a door opening for me by two rather large beings. I felt a bit uncomfortable with them, so I didn't stay chatting but hurried through this 'door'.

Dunno if it was a projection of lucid dream... But I'm fairly sure I'll visit Paintcrop again. They seem to be in the need of help.
2  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Astral Projection Experiences! / 2nd willed projection on: February 15, 2004, 05:34:38
(I'm getting up and writing this just as I've finished the projection.)

I was lying on my left side. It's 9AM and I had just woken up. I start drifting off to sleep and notice a slight dropping sensation accompanied  by an increase of the noise the computer makes as I've had it on all night (New term: Computer Aided OBE - CAOBE. [Kidding.]). It just suddenly got louder, and then quickly the noise faded back to normal and the falling sensation stopped. I tried to bring it back as I was curious to what it was, and did not think of OBE.
Success. The noise and falling sensation came back again, but faded. - I try again. And again. Again. I noice the periods I can make the noise loud grew longer. I get hypnogogic imagery, looking like a computer menu (CAOBE!) with various options. I select one option. - It changes appearance and suddenly I can hear fractured voices in my left ear. I thought for some reason I was listening to traffic over the GSM network. (Why not?)
Back to the menu again. - The noise had been very loud and rather unpleasent. Probably developing astral hearing... - I select another option, watch it change appearance and suddenly the noise is back but I'm also free from my body. Kewlies. I get up, out through the door. (Didn't bother opening it.) Halfway through another door and figure out that I'm blind. I had been orienting myself tactily. Open my eyes, but my vision is blurred as I head through the final door to get outside. I'm stuck halfway out, look quickly at my hands to watch them melt, and suddenly I'm dragged back to my body. I had been very near it too, due to the configuration of the house I'm currently staying in.
[ED: Another thing hit me: Back with my body I was able to move my subtle-body arms around and see, but I could not see my subtle arms.]
I get up, walk over to the computer, turn on the monitor and head for AP-forums. =)

Memory just hit me: Just before this I had some sort of dream that I was back south at my parent's house again. I was not a typical dream, as I was aware that I had no idea how I'd got there. I didn't figure it a dream, however.
3  Energy Body and The Chakras / Welcome to Energy Body and The Chakras / Physical vibes & cold wind. Advice sought! on: January 22, 2004, 13:54:45
Lately I've been doing energy work every night, late at night and in long sessions sinse I've been unable to sleep. Last night something rather odd happend. Twice.
My right hand was on my solar plexus chakra, and left hand above the hand. I was working to expand my etheric body when I could feel a vibration at my solar plexus. The memory of my first projection came to me and I remembered that I had put my hand on my brow and felt it pulsing. Now I could feel a similar thing, but this time it was my hand, physically vibrating. Since I was almost completely relaxed, on the brink of expanding my etheric body, I knew it was not due to tension. As it was completely new to me and I had not heard about a similar phenomena before I was naturally unable to maintain my relaxed state and moved my hand. - The vibration stopped.
I started over, relaxing my body, relaxing my breathing, relaxing my mind. I could feel my etheric body exand at my legs, and now my left hand vibrated above my heart chakra. I moved it to my side and the vibration stopped.

What was this? Has anyone experienced a similar thing before? What do you think it was?

Another strange thing that has been happening to me is that when I enter a relaxed state I can feel cold air descending on my skin. When not feeling it, and thinking about it, I start feeling it.

Know what it is? Similar experience? Ideas?
4  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Astral Projection Experiences! / Forcing OBE = bad trip on: January 05, 2004, 10:40:38
Last night I was having quite a vivd dream, and as I've been doing reality checks as of late it turned lucid.

The evening before I had decided I'd try to communicate with my Holy Guardian Angel, but as I tried to keep my mind at a level that allows me to do extremely abstract thinking (I'll write another post about this at some time. It seems to be a topic all on its own.) I had trouble dropping into F10. Everything just kinda went blank. - Lack of input into the brain. - No inteligable communication with astral senses. - So I gave up trying to reach my HGA.

Now, in this lucid state, I decided I'd OBE, first heading for the RTZ and expecting to end up in my room. I had a sense of twisting counter-clockwise for a short while, and then everything was black. For some reason I had forgotten I should try to move in some direction to get out of the blackness.
So I deided, 'Hey, I'll go chat with my HGA instead." and started shouting "Holy Guardian Angel" in two languages, in case he/she/it was expecting to hear Swedish. (It made perfect sense at the time.)
I started twisting clockwise now, but the blackness was uniform. At length my mom started making more noise than my concentration would filter out, so I woke up. It was apparently morning. My parents were going long-distance skating. I fall back asleep.

Several hours later I wake up again, get up, open the curtains and head for the bathroom. Then I wake up again. (It's so annoying when that happens. OBE or not.)
This time when I sit up the world is spinning and looks like whatever natural construct responsible for geometry had gone stark raving mad. 'Okay,' I figure 'blood pressure in my brain too low. Better lay back down and wait for my heart to pic up the pace.'
Spinning goes away and I yawn, finding that instead of completing the yawn my vocal cords are stuck on a single tone and won't shut up. I force the yawn to end and try for to sit up again. This time the world immediately starts spinning, and I figure I have to sit up for my heart to 'catch the drift' and start pumping. I don't bother trying to locate which way is up, since I know from experience that is a waste of time. Instead I locate the muscles on the front of my body and have them contract, pulling myself up.
Geometry would still get an 'F' from my teachers, but soon it settles down. Vertigo. Things in the wrong place. Trying to focus my mind but can't. It's like I've drank an entire bottle of vodka.

Finally I 'zoom' back into my body and discover my room in perfect order. Relieved, I sit up. - Success! Sometimes you just have to put some effort in getting up in the morning. [Smiley]
5  Spiritual Evolution / Welcome to Spiritual Evolution! / Thought, reality, ego, and awareness on: December 25, 2003, 14:49:54
Tonight while laying in bed, half awake, half asleep, I suddenly had the most vivid flash of something organic, green, lush and lingering. Quickly, acutely awake I see the roof, but I was the roof, contemplation about it left out since thought and reality was one and the same. Everything had lost its borders and become one, and I was aware of it. My ego had faded and I could sense how my mind and reality were tightly interweaved. Having wanted to do so, I felt as if I could have changed the very nature of the cosmos.

It felt like it lasted for a long time, but I suspect it was just and instant. When I at length snapped out of it I could feel energy move around my body, pulsing and vibrating. I was hot and sweating, something I've noticed happens at occasion when I do intensive energy work. It seems I have progressed a lot further than I've dared suspect. [Smiley]

Anybody else here who has had a similar experience?

7  Energy Body and The Chakras / Welcome to Energy Body and The Chakras / Vibration isn't going away on: November 03, 2003, 10:32:36
The vibration is rather constant now. Not the quakes that my first post was about, but a low rumbling that changes location, sometimes multiple, and intensity. Sometimes I have to check with my hands if there really is a physical vibration there or not. I've been noticing other strange things too, like a different 'mode' of hearing and seeing, and my mental activity feels like it almost has substance. My concept of time has... Changed. Dunno quite how to put it.

I've been doing chakra meditation for some while now, and a few days ago  I sensed something like a needle impacting with my throath chakra, making it explode open so wide it was almost painful.

Anyone who's got clues of what is going on? There are a lot of other unusual things that I have not mentioned, and all of this is growing in intensity, like a feeling of disconnection. Should I attempt to stop this?
8  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Astral Projection Experiences! / I certainly did something, even if weird on: October 14, 2003, 05:09:12
How exhilarating,
I can't tell if it was a lucid dream or what, but it certainly was an experience. =)
My parents get up early to go work and I'm on Fall leave from Collage, and naturally they make enough noise to wake me up. Consciousness returning just enough for me, I decided to try and AP, and with details that I'm quickly forgetting (Need to work on that.) I sat up, with many the symptoms I've read about, and did. =D
I found myself in the middle of my dark room, wondering if I really had done it. To make sure, I checked my bed to see if I was still lying there. It was too dark for me to see, so got closer (Big mistake.) and got sucked right back in. I have a memory of touching the top of my head and feel it pulsating. Fighting spirit, I did it again, with ease, and looked back... This is when the odd stuff started. I'm not sure if it really was an AP or lucid dream.
I knelt down next to the foot of my bed and could see a reflection of myself in it. It was as if I was glowing red from inside. IIRC my eyes were yellow, glowing. (They're brown I 'R' L.) I thought "weird" but "cool". Then I stood up and went to check on myself, and hurrah! There I was! Face down against the bed! Tempting fate and risking getting sucked back in I touch my physical hand with my astral one. And what do you know, my physical body pushes itself off from the bed, looks at me, and says "Please turn the other way." O.o
I did turn the other way... Taking a few steps away from myself. (Noting that I looked normal.)

While trying to fly I notice that my physical body is tossing about on my bed and I have a conversation with "me", referring to me as "you", which was a strange experience in itself. The details of the conversation I have forgotten (Writing this as quickly as I could get the machine to boot.), but I think it was mostly small-talk. My physical self giving sarcastic comments about my failures at flying.

Finally, I think of an eagle, flapping my arms like any other fool, and what do you know! I'm flying! "Told you so." I tell my physical body and fly out the window.
Outside I see no sun, but the sky is clear. I doubt myself and stall in the air. Thinking of the eagle again I make it to the rooftop. But I'm tired, and wake up in my physical body. "Was it real?" going through my mind.

What do you think? Conversation with my physical self was more than a bit odd, or...?

The night/evening before I had spent a very long time 'charging up', and managed to get to a point where I was completely paralysed, felt a tingling all over my body and the shakes began.
9  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Astral Projection Experiences! / Vibes, rather like quakes... on: October 11, 2003, 17:10:27
I've been practicing AP on and off for a short bit now and thought I'd better ask a question that is nagging my mind.

When I go into trance, feel my body paralysed etc. I do indeed 'feel the vibes', except it's no gentle humming. Rather a quake at 9.0 on the Richter scale. Like I'd fallen into a giant paint-blender or something. I do know that it's my AB that is loosening, but should it be so violent? Like I'm going to be tossed out from shere momentum?
I actually had a problem with it long ago during puberty, but not until my first attempt at AP (got the vibes then) did I understand what it was. It didn't allow me to sleep a night or five back then, but I digress...
I have not yet managed to AP, probably pending chakra development, or just more practice of technique, and I wonder if the violent shakes could be something I should be concerned with. Any input on the matter would be greatly appreciated.

The greatest piece of advice I've ever recieved was on a ferry between Finland and Sweden, by an English illusionist. I didn't speak a word of English at the time, but yet with the translation of only one word I was able to fully understand what he meant. His exact words were "Practice, practice, practice."

Those words ring true to all skills one can learn. From the viewpoint of the magickian, all skills are magick.

However, from the viewpoint of the magickian, there is no 'supernatural', but rather everything is quite natural. Still, the 'nature' of the magickian is one infinitely larger than that of scientist.

In my blog I wrote a few days ago:
I call myself "I". Others call me "you". My "you" and "I" are respectively objective and subjective aspects of my being.

The subjective creates the objective, and the objective creates the subjective. Thus manifests the ego.

Without others there can not be an "I". By the mechanics of the athropic principle, without "I" others can not exist.

Examples of something objective: A rule, a map, a recepy.
Examples of something subjective: A feeling, intuition, interpritations of art.

"Patra" only brings "patria" to mind, which means 'father' or 'homeland' in certain uses of the word.

Golden Light Country does, I'm afraid, not ring any bells except for the fields... Was it the pre-ancient Greeks? ...go to when they die. "Elycion", IIRC. I'm going to have to look it up. (Oddly it can't be found online.)

"I think I exist. That is all the proof you need.", and all the proof that can be given.

Counsciousness is universal and 'divine', but egos manifest and become self-aware by reflecting upon themselves. It is quite possible for there to exist minds without self-awareness where a sort of 'emulation' of a ego occurs as a construct out of neccessity to survive. You could call them "instincts". - These beings would be unable to take initiative and their whole lives would be nothing but an endless series of reactions.

Try to imagine, see, feel, experience, yourself outside of your body and _keep_ that thought. And most importantly, don't give up! As long as you keep trying you'll eventually succeed, but if you give up you can not win.

It's the exit method that you appear to need practice on, just as me. =)

"I'm afraid I don't remember the details of the statue so I can't give you a definite answer. One memory says a large fountain on street-level,  another a huge cubic concrete slab with some men on it, and yet another is blurry. It could be that there are several statues."

Now I'm going to as it is late here. If I'm lucky I'll end up in the city. =)

Botched Istanbul Suicide Attack Kills 2

ISTANBUL, Turkey -- A suicide bomber who killed one other person in an attack on an Istanbul freemasons' building botched the job, Turkish media reported Wednesday.

His accomplice failed to kill himself in Tuesday's attack which wounded five people and revived memories of four blasts in the city blamed on al-Qaida in November that killed 61 people.
The article goes on...

Interesting to note that the Freemansons have been rather quiet for a long time, and now they find themselves in the news twice in two days. It is unfortunate that the circumstances are what they are, but it still seems rather odd.
25  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Astral Projection Experiences! / Paintcrop, the astral city? on: March 10, 2004, 21:15:10
All that's been mentioned is possible, but might be more due to my lack of complete knowledge. The first time I was there I didn't pay much attention to the scenery as I was quite busy chasing something. First I ran through the mall, a lot of yellow, maybe brass surfaces, and then through some obscure pathway I found myself to the upper levels. There was dark brown dust everywhere and the place looked rather gloomy. Ascending towards the top I am surprised that the person I was chasing isn't there, and next I fall out the window, slamming into the sidewalk far below. Dream-death, but the experience didn't quite end there. It's rather blurry what I did after 'dying'.

In the central square there is a fountain or statue. One time when I visited there was some kind of celebration on the streets. It was night again and the statue was lit up with green lights. At one side of the square there's a larger building that is high to the roof and has some kind of stage. There's been a concert there, but me memory of that is no more than an image.
I've visited mostly at night so it might be that I have not spotted bright colors.

The city seems to have the odd quality that I can find myself suddenly recognizing it after wandering around in some dreamscape, suddenly turning lucid. It always feels familiar is some way, yet a strange, lazy restlessness that you might find in a city occupied by a foregin force.

Beavis, it may very well be that the city lacks a verbal name.
Paintcrop appears extremely similar to a human city, but the inhabitants do seem a bit meek even if rather intelligent. I think I had a human form when there, but it could also be that my subconscious has translated an alien place into something familiar. It could be that the entire place is just a construct of my mind too. (And if this latter possibility proves true I'll be slightly worried about anyone else visiting it. [Tongue])
