Hi Svenson
please, let us know what you felt receiving a distant attunement. I'm curious.
Thanks

Hi Ashfo
Yes, I'm afraid you need to buy an em-power disc, unless you know someone in your area who can let you use his or hers.
As a matter of fact I was the first in Italy to have one: I read an advertisement on a Qigong magazine and decided to try it, but all the other people I know that are using it in Italy have tried my or some other friend's disc before buying it.
Coby gives people one month to decide if they want to keep the disc or not, in wich case he gives back the money (but not the postage and packing). I know him personally and I trust him.
Maybe you could ask him if there is some member of the Em-Power Research Project in your area to whome you could ask to try the disc, if you are interested in trying it.

Hi Tom
thanks for the explanation.
The information I received obout giving Reiki  is slightly different, but the 'core' is more or less the same. Probably the Italian translation for the word 'attunement' has more meanings that make it not very good for describing the process. The more I study English (such a long way to go....) the more I realise how it is easy to misunderstand things because of subtle nuances and meanings hidden in some words.

5  Energy Body and The Chakras / Welcome to Energy Body and The Chakras / Reiki attunement - Recommend? on: May 31, 2002, 07:57:28
Hy Ryno
Reiki is now a very widespread and differentiated practice. It has taken many forms and so it is quite easy to hear that people have had different experiences with it. But almost all of them have this in common: a more calm and balanced emotional state, good health, a feeling of connection and an enhanced spiritual awareness. I know many people that have also a feeling of protection.
I came across Reiki many years ago taken to a class by an overenthusiastic friend of mine. I really didn't expect anything particular and I was quite amazed by the deep sensations given by the energy. It was my first contact with energy. Since then, Reiki has become my daily practice and it never failed me. I went on in its path until I became a master. Of course, I would recommend Reiki to anyone. I have learned since then many other practices and works with energy, but Reiki has remained the 'core' of everything.
The form I practice doesn't require further 'attunements' (I don't like this word!) to 'refresh' the contact with the reiki energy, unless you want to proceed on the reiki way.

Hi Ashfo
an english healear, Coby Zvikler, is able to transfer part of his  abilities to a small alluminium disc. Working with this disc is really amazing: you give orders to your body and it reacts moving by itself and correcting physical problems. I've even had good results in terms of emotional rebalancing and enhancing my other energy practicices. It is also possible to help other people with it.
Coby claims that the disc enhance the connection of a person to his/her Higher Self, and I actually receive Yes/No body signals from my HS when I do the Em-Power. It's sort of a weird experience, but it has been very useful to me in many occasions.
I had so many good results with it that I translated in Italian the material that cames with the disc. Coby's site is:http:www.freebooks-online.co.uk

In this site you can download his book 'The key to Gabriel' and know more about it.

Hi distant bell
I think it boils down to common sense: if you don't overdo and if you follow the guidelines for every discipline you practise, you can even have a synergistic effect, that is you go on faster. I practise Reiki, Tao, Qigong, New and Em-Power and I don't feel anything wrong in me, on the contrary, it seems that everything is enhancing everything else. Of course, I have all the time I want: time is the only limiting factor.
The only caution I wuold recommend: use just one discipline for every aspect you wont to work on: fo example if you are working on sex, don't do Tao and tantra together, because they are using different principles. NEW is from a certain point of view the most 'general'. It works on removing blockages and raising energy, so I don't see any reason why it should'nt  be 'coupled' with anything else.

8  Energy Body and The Chakras / Welcome to Energy Body and The Chakras / Burns, Rieki Attunement, & Sex on: May 28, 2002, 06:33:27
Reiki is usually very gentle (in the form I practice), but in conjunction with sex energy can cause major unblockings.
Sex energy is perhaps the most powerful energy in our body and, being pleasure, it is so easy to overdo. Rashes, mild pains in the bones and even some fever are very common side effects when you work too much. Nothing to worry about, if they go away quickly. I had pains and fever quite often during my sex training but now, after more than 3 years, I can raise the full orgasm energy without side effects and achieving as many full body orgasm I want! It is definitely a kind of energy work I can recommend to every man in the world!

Sorry for the red frowning smiley, it's a mistake but I don't know how to cancel it.

Ashfo
don't be so afraid. I only wanted to be sure you take Reiki in a very conscious and aware way. Too many people, in my opinion, take reiki with the mental attitude 'Ok, if it is free, what the heck, I'll try it....'
Reiki can be a real wonder, believe me. Just investigate and take your time to decide what's good for you.
Tom
I would like to ask you a question: what is your definition of 'attunement'? My English is not very good and so maybe I have misunderstood something you said. Thanks

10  Energy Body and The Chakras / Welcome to Energy Body and The Chakras / Reiki 1? on: May 20, 2002, 07:14:56
Ashfo, please be careful!
Reiki is a very effective ancient healing practice. I teach it and of course I really recommand it. The problem is that nowadays it is possible to do anything and call it Reiki. There is no way to say in advance  if the form you are choosing will be  the best  for you. My advice is to speak to as MANY Reiki masters as you can and to receive many hands on Reiki treatments from their students as well and judge what you feel. Please, bear in mind that you are putting your energy field in the hands of someone else and that what this person will do to you is not possible to undo. As I said, many things are done today and called Reiki. I'm not saying that they are all wrong or bad, but they are, in my opinion, too new! Only time will test them and I, just to be safe, prefer to stick to tradition. Many people have practised  the  kind of Reiki I'm doing before me and they are happy with it and got results.
I can practise the NEW system without fear, because it is entirely under my control: I can do it or stop it, it's up to me. With Reiki, once you've been initiated (or attuned, as many new age people prefer to say), you can stop doing  Reiki, but you won't be able to change back your energy field, if you don't like it. If you want to know more about the traditional  Reiki (Usui Shiki Rioho) try: www.usuireiki.com
About learning from a book. I have never received a Reiki treatment from someone claiming to have learned from a book.  I know that what I call Reiki can only be received from a Reiki master in a person to person relationship in wich physical closeness is essential.

11  Energy Body and The Chakras / Welcome to Energy Body and The Chakras / Involuntary movements on: May 20, 2002, 06:39:54
When I brush my toes back and forth, all of them twitch. It's a very pleasurable sensation. Physical body and energy body are deeply connected, and spontaneous movements are quite common with many energy works.
I've been working for a couple of years with Coby Zvikler's Em-Power Disc. This is REALLY weird. I wear the Disc, I give my body some commands (like 'remove the pain in my back now'), and my body starts to move by itself until the pain is gone or less strong. I don't know what happens, but the feeling is that some part of me (my Higher Self?) moves my energy and my body follows. I can't consciously control my movements and I can only stop them giving another command, or let them stop by themselves. Weird!
Even some Qigong forms can cause involuntary movements.

12  Energy Body and The Chakras / Welcome to Energy Body and The Chakras / My energy observations... on: May 10, 2002, 06:35:01
Hi Tia
I have strong energy feelings whatever energy work I do in a car. I suspect that it has something to do with the electromagnetic field of the engine. I too have different results (in terms of feelings) if I do the NEW in different places. I have also noticed that if I wear shoes with rubber soles the energy flow seems weaker. One more thing: try to work for a while on your feet and hands before raising energy, even if you have been doing it for many months: I have the feeling that feet and hands must be very 'awake' to absorb an amount of energy so big to give you sensations if you are accostumed to the 'normal level'. Anyway, the place where you raise your energy IS important, in my opinion. There are spots in every home in wich energy levels are lower. They are called (I don't know if the English term is correct, I'm Italian) "Knots (or Junctions)of Hartman". If your bed or your armchair is over one of them you won't feel very much indeed.
About axiety and energy. The taoist belive, and I tend to agree, that the organ where 'anxiety feelings' are stored is the spleen, that is strongly connected, from an energy point of view, tho the stomach. Thus, concentraiting energy in the stomach plexus can positively affect your anxiety levels. Try the 'Six healing sounds' (they are thaught by Mantak Chia  in his books) and 'The fusion of the 5 elements (same author). I have also  had very good results with anxiety and other emotional problems working with Coby Zvikler's Empower Disc (www.freeboks-online.co.uk).

13  Energy Body and The Chakras / Welcome to Energy Body and The Chakras / Qui Ging- why and how? on: May 08, 2002, 06:45:50
Hi distant bell
I've been working with Qigong for a while, both the internal training (as taught by Mantack Chia) and the external training (Wild Goose Qigong).
With the first, you learn how to move your energy in and around your body and  to connect and use outer sources of energy in a way that is not very different from NEW, but, in my opinion, more 'structured'. You work with your internal organs to cleanse them from 'sick' energy, thus achieving a better health. Taoist believe that negative emotions can generate sick energy that is able to negatively affect health. Qi energy is a bit like air: can be clean and pure or polluted. Gettin rid of  dirty energy is a healing practice.
The external training, the one using more or less slow movements, uses the same principle: clears energy pathways, cleanses organs of sick energy, removes blockages etc., but this is done with movement. The form I practice is quite short: 64 movements that take only 7-10 minutes to be done. The woman who teaches them in China, Yang Meijung, is 106 years old and she is the heir of a form that goes back 1800 years in the past!
In my opinion, the NEW system is very good as a general 'energy workout': it has healing properties by itself, but can be used with other techniques to enhance them. But only time and the evidence of many people working with it will give a measure of its effectiveness.
The problem with healing practices is that they they have a 'personal' effect. Not all of them has the same healing effect on everybody. Creating a set of exercises to improve health can take many many years, because only 'big numbers' of people practicing and reporting success and failures can be used to improve a certain form. This is why ancient practices are so valuable. The more people have used a healing practice, and reported its benefits, the better.

14  Energy Body and The Chakras / Welcome to Energy Body and The Chakras / What energy? on: April 10, 2002, 13:09:28
Hi Winged Wolf
it seems we have different experiences. Good!
In my Taoist practice I have learnt how to absorb and 'digest' outside sources of energy (earth, moon, sun, stars, wind, etc.) and to store them in the sub- navel  energy storage center (tantien). The feedback feelings I have confirm this increase of energy in me so, according to 'The catch basket concept' of ou hero R.B., it is a fact FOR ME. I can even perceive the different 'tastes' of these energies.

I have also noted that sometimes very sick people make me feel tired, and I attributed this feeling tired to an involuntary 'sucking' of energy out of me. Can you give me another explanation? (it would make me feel better....)

I never heard about Psi energy generated by the nerves: could you explain it to me or give me some refernce to investigate it and to make some experiment to see what I feel? I would be very grateful.
Ciao!
Dido

15  Energy Body and The Chakras / Welcome to Energy Body and The Chakras / What energy? on: April 10, 2002, 12:51:42
Hi distant bell
just a quick note to say that I'm not aware about any way to 'learn' Reiki by yourself.  Reiki is now a very general word and can be used to define different things: the form I received MUST be passed to a student by a master. Maybe other forms of Reiki allow it.

In my opinion,  we use OUR energy in New whenever we stir, wrap, brush etc. We absorb energy from outside when we raise energy in full body circuit or in partial (legs or arms) raising, i.e. anytime we are drawing energy from feet and hands along the limbs into the body.
This is what Robert teaches in his NEW tutorial: he talks about 'Energy exchange ports'. Their basic function is (I quote) 'to absorb and discharge energy'(pg.4). This raw energy is then processed in the secondary and tertiary centers.
This is in complete accord with the Taoist practices I've been using for quite a lot of time. And my experience is that it is of course possible, and very beneficial, to absorb energy from the earth, the moon, the sun , the wind etc.
I don't know if the healing abilities gained through the NEW system are similar to those obtained from Reiki. The system is quite new, but it should, in my opinion, be a close match. I hope Robert Bruce won't make us wait too long for the promised New book, in which we should find more cases reported.

Hi Tom
I agree that we have talken enough about Reiki. Better doing Reiki, in whatever form we choose to practice, than talkink about it. Far to many words have been expended, in my opinion, about something that must be simply experienced and lived

I have the same feeling to. I think it's what they call 'connection'.
Being able to share feelings, information, advice on a worldwide scale makes me feel part of a whole. Maybe we are the beginning of a 'next generation'. I am too extremely grateful to Robert Bruce for this possibility (and for the rest too...)

19  Energy Body and The Chakras / Welcome to Energy Body and The Chakras / Tummo Reiki attunements on: April 09, 2002, 13:40:18
Hi David
I'm a Reiki master and I can be of some help.
Reiki is an ancient healing art that came from Japan. During the recent decades it has taken many different forms, and it is very difficult to tell if one is better than the others. I think it is just a matter of feelings.
To become a Reiki practitioner, and learn how to give Reiki treatments to yourself and others, you have to attend a class and to receive the Reiki initiation from a Reiki Master. In my form, we use the word 'initiation' instead of the more usual 'attunement', because in my opinion this is what actually it is! You NEED another person doing this to you in order to have the ability to channel Reiki energy. The New Age movement actually prefers 'attunement' because it is less a problematic word. But, in my opinion, it is not very correct.
We give a great value to Reiki and we try to practice it every day. Because of this value, we don't give it free. If someone pays for attending the class, we are reasonably sure that he/she REALLY wants Reiki. We are, anyway, always free to give a Reiki initiation as a gift, if we feel it's the right thing to do. We follow the 'oral tradition', that means that there must be a direct contact between a Master and a student.
The only advice I can give you, if you want to take Reiki, is to speak with as many Reiki Masters you can, asking some of their students to give you a full body treatment and then let your intuition and feelings help you make the choice. A good Reiki treatment makes you feel real well!
About your last question: I have felt a BIG difference before and after my initiation and my students too.

20  Energy Body and The Chakras / Welcome to Energy Body and The Chakras / What energy? on: April 09, 2002, 13:08:07
Hi Distant Bell
my opinion is that the main difference between New and Reiki are:
- You can learn New by yourself, you use your conscious mind to activate the process, you draw the energy (I guess) from the earth and the surroundings(NOT, in my opinion, from other living beeings).
- You have to receive Reiki from a Reiki Master, you don't use your conscious mind to activate the process, you 'channel' a pure form of energy whose origin I don't acttually know.
The effect on the body is, I think, not very different: they both release energy blockages and raise energy levels, thus promoting good health and, probably, personal or spiritual developement.
I'm not sure what Winged Wolf says is correct. My feelings are that I draw energy THROUGH my hands and feet, not that I'm generating it. I'd like to know Robert's opinion on this.
Cheers
Dido

Hi Puddl
The goal of everithing is that you actually MOVE your energy. In my opinion, it is not important if you simply do it or imagine your hands doing it or a brush. Judge the results from the feedback of what you feel. Tactile awareness is really good because it's so easy for so many people. But I have the same results, in terms of feelings, if I simply move my MA or if I'm imaging my hands massaging my skin or imaging holding a brush and doing it.

I'm sorry,Bitsmart, but Taoist don't agree and according to my experience they are probably right. It's not orgasms that 'shut down the chemical factory' but, in males, ejaculation. The trick is to learn how to have lots of the firsts and none of the second. This way it is possible to have all the energy and good health you want without giving up the fun. Bye.

23  Energy Body and The Chakras / Welcome to Energy Body and The Chakras / Full-body stimulation? Or am I insane? on: March 18, 2002, 06:57:32
Hi Steppen Wolf
I tried to do the same thing and it works for me too! It is amazing how just knowing that something is possible is often enough for doing it.
About the Taoist meditation to absorb the earth energy: unfortunately i'm moving and all my books are already in sealed boxes. I hnow that it's in Mantak Chia's 'Awaken the Healing Light of the Tao', but I'm not able to give you the exact name or page.
The meditation is amazingly similar to the 'Direct Sub-Navel Energy Raising' pg.30 of the NEW tutorials. It only adds the 'awareness' of the earth under the feet, of the many kilometers of rock and of the whole planet under us. The rest is the same: focus on the sub-navel storage centre and on feet and hands. Don't drag. Just absorb. I tried both and the feeling of the energy is the same. Bye.

24  Energy Body and The Chakras / Welcome to Energy Body and The Chakras / Full-body stimulation? Or am I insane? on: March 17, 2002, 08:06:06
Hi SteppenWolf
Could it be an easily induced light trance? Imagining of falling is one of the ways to do it. And the feelings I have when I start to trance are similar.
On the other hand, whenever we concentrate on a part of our body, the energy tends to go there. Even in all the body at the same time, usually coming up the feet and hands. There is a Taoist meditation in which one imagines to sink in the earth or to move down: this way the energy of the earth is absorbed into the body and the sensations are very similar to the ones you mention. The same thing can be done just thinking to one's body on the whole. They strongly suggest, however, that it is unwise to leave the energy in all the body or in the head at the end of the meditation. It is necessary to store it in the sub-navel storage center (dantien). Your difficulty to sleep with energy in your head is the prove they are right. To move all the eccess energy to the sub navel center, just keep your awareness there for some time.

25  Energy Body and The Chakras / Welcome to Energy Body and The Chakras / Energy work and SEX on: March 15, 2002, 05:43:33
Hi! I have learned the Taoist techniques taught by Mantack Chia in his book 'The Multiorgasmic Man'. It is true, in my opinion, that sex can drain your energy. It is not the actual sex that drains but, in a male, the ejaculation. For a woman it is different. Women lose energy (according to Mantack Chia) during menstruation. They don't waste energy during sex, but they are usually unable to use the energy they receive from their partners. If, however, there is a strong bond between the partners, some energy exchange will actually take place just the same. But it is possible to learn how to enhance this natural process. And, belive me, it is worth the effort!
The trick for a man is to learn how to draw the sexual energy during the act (alone or with a partner) up the spine and into the brain and then bring this energy in the sub-navel storage centre.
This way, it is possible to have as many orgasms a man can endure without losing energy and without ejaculation. The result is a better sex and a lot of energy that can be exchanged with the partner (actually 'creating' a bond of love) and/or used for energy work.

It's not difficult at all, it only takes some time and exercise (that is fun). I have been able to do it and I'm a really average 49 year old man and not a Superman at all! I'm now working with Robert Bruce's NEW (it's fantastic!) and I don't have any trouble at allwith my groin energy centers !

I'm Italian so, please, do forgive my English.
