101  Astral Chat / Welcome to Astral Chat! / Wisdom teeth on: April 17, 2003, 11:55:05
Hi everyone!

Thanks to all of you for sharing you knowledge and personal experiences. Ive got a week off uni next week and Ive decided to dedicate it to getting all of my outstanding health issues in check - flu shot and dentist. Apparently one of the only things I get out of having privte health care ( in Austalia we have medicare)is cheap dental, so I might as well go forth and find out what is to be found. I often get mouth ulcers, and by looking at the sight of the pain in the mirror the tissue looks to be infected, although rare it could even be an invected ulcer, or maybe gingivitis. But then again it is sore in the same place that my wisdom teath will come from so maybe Im just practicing a little wishful thinking. An interesting point is that the pain began recently along with my sleep deprivation - a universtity assignment has kept me up, and at the time of writing Ive been awake now for 42 hours. So if it is infection maybe there is a link between a depressed immune capasity and sleep deprivation. I handed the assignment in this morning, but then I had to go straight to work and Ive just got home...soon I sleep....and now I think about it maybe there is a paralle between sleep deprivation and writing disjointed here there and every where posts[Smiley]

A lot of questions on auras have been asked in the past, mainly in the general metaphysicts forum as mentioned. As the same questions have been asked so many times you will find the best threads to read are the old ones. After a while the people who have a deep knowledge of this area stopped posting wonderful thought provoking posts and started posting more or less blunt answers without discussion...and eventually just stoped replying all together. So start at page 20 and work your way foward if you are keen. Here is one particular thread where individual perception of the aura was discussed to some depth.

best regards

NARGH READ THE FRICKEN BOOK!!!! sorry sometimes I struggle to hold back my inner pirate[:I] Ive read books where Ive read two pages in one sitting and than thought about what it ment and than re read it, and Ive also devoured equally complex books in a very short amount of time, and guess which ones I remember? Let your goal not be to read the book but to understand the book. Another example is schooling, the things you learn to pass the test you cram and forget, but things your interested in and apply yourself to stay with you for life... if that does not help you I will simply have to hunt you down and poke you with a cattle prod![}:)]
106  Energy Body and The Chakras / Welcome to Energy Body and The Chakras / Uprising veins on: April 04, 2003, 01:05:41
I just posted in a similar topic having not seen this one, but Ill expand on my post here.

In my opinion having veins that are easily visible has nothing at all to do with energy development. Speaking only as a student nurse people with less body fat will always have veins that are easier to see, and genetic variation also plays a factor. High blood pressure is not going make veins pop out, in fact varicose veins are due to poor venous return. Other than varicose veins which are only common in older people and the obese, veins expand when the blood volume increases, if this did not happen there would be an increase in the pressure placed on the heart. When you work out less blood goes to the digestive system and more goes to muscles, causing an increase in fluid volume in the circulatory system, hence the Ďarm pumpí that occurs. While evidence of low blood pressure can be easily visible in a person, the effects of high blood pressure are likely to cause serious problems in other areas before it causes a visible change in a person.

While general vitality, and perhaps decreased blood pressure as a result of stress reduction will be the physical response to energy work, I can see no reason why it would energy work would make your veins rise up.

108  Energy Body and The Chakras / Welcome to Energy Body and The Chakras / thought forms (tulpa) on: April 03, 2003, 05:29:03
1. Just do a web search on magic circles, you will find plenty.
2. Yes, the possibilities are endless as I described in my last post.
3. Another person seeing it would depend on their sensitivity, but there is no reason Iím aware of that it isnít possible to make one everyone can see. However I cant stress enough that I would not get worked up on creating a thought form that can be seen without experimenting with and mastering simpler forms first. Anyone can put in the work to make a visible thought form, dealing with the possible consequences requires a degree of skill and knowledge. The creation of a tangible creature that is just as physically real as you or me can not be achieved by any person I am aware of. But trying can sure as hell be a short road to a list of things including psychiatric illness. Iím trying to get across the point of learn to crawl before you try walking because the dangers are real here.
4. I covered how to set a time limit to their existence in my last post, meditating on them can be covered by the blanket of crawling before walking and they are bound to objects by using an object representing them or their function, charging this object and using your intent to make the thought form linked to the object. You make the charged object before you make the thought form. Forgive me for being blunt but a little bit of knowledge is a dangerous thing, a lot of study and hard work goes into occult practice. While sometimes its fine to give people everything they need, in other areas it would be negligent to do so. Most of my knowledge in the area comes from books, if you struggle to find quality online information please feel free to ask for help in finding decent study information.

110  Energy Body and The Chakras / Welcome to Energy Body and The Chakras / thought forms (tulpa) on: April 02, 2003, 12:47:54
Ok Iím new to the term tulpa but it seems there is no difference between a thought form and a tulpa, unless a tulpa is a though form that can be seen with your normal vision? Ill just go on assuming this is the case.

Ok the most fundamental concept behind the creation of a thought form is that the astral or at least the lowest astral plane (Iím fairly confident it goes beyond the real time zone) has no natural form, but is molded by mental and emotional influences from below (in terms of vibratory level Ė IE physical  world), and other influences from above. The human mind can without any special supernatural skill create change in the astral, this is how Ďastral junkí is created. So if you train to focus your intent and can complement this intent with appropriate visulisation (imagination) you can make a change in the astral that is more well defined. To simplify the more you concentrate on a particular thing and the more detailed you picture it to be, the stronger the corresponding change in the astral will be. So consider this as just new law of physics, it is a natural and common thing.

Secondly there is no limit to the complexity of the form created in the astral. But obviously according to the rule stated above, to make a complex aspect of the form well defined and functioning a proportional amount of concentration and contemplation must be applied. So thatís the basic theory of how you make a thought form. The basic practice of making a thought form varies between sources. But obviously they all involve concentrating on the form. Some people consider it a magical act and say it must be done inside a circle perhaps for you own safety. More on circles later. To move onto how to get rid of one. Now because a thought form can be as complex as you like in terms of both appearance and function it is easy enough to Ďprogramí the thought form to cease to exist at a certain time. However over time thought forms continue to gain power and definition, if you leave the time of death for your thought form too late and the amount of focus you put into the self termination function was not adequate the thought form might not stop existing. So at first donít keep them around for overly long, and definitely read more on this before attempting it. Thought forms not held within rigid well defined guidelines of function may become Ďawareí as they gain power, this is potentially bad. An aware thought form is harder to get rid of, because with awareness comes self preservation, and even the wanting to feed. Your connection to it makes your energy a good place to start as it moves away from the energy provided by your thoughts and belief in it.

Wards Ė A ward is simply a thought form bound to a physical object, this object can be its source of energy. One could destroy this physical object when they chose to terminate the thought form as a means of reinforcing in ones own mind (the most important factor) that the thought form is gone.

Now to make a thought form you can actually physically see takes a lot and I really do mean a lot of effort. Iím talking meditating on it at length day after day. Usually this is done by attempting to manifest it under the conditions Tom mentioned, out of light and from what Iíve read a magic circle is created not around you but to manifest the form within. By the time you have created a form strong enough to manifest like this you had most certainly hope that its limitations are clearly defined. Dion Fortunes Wolf and the story of the Monk on the page you posted being famous examples. Aware forms need to be forcibly destroyed by taking them into yourself, a very dangerous and complex process only for an advanced practitioner.

Whether this is magic or not is a matter of opinion really and not as important as the mechanics of the process, maybe this is something best answered yourself.

Please ask more questions if you like

Best Regards

113  Psychic and Paranormal / Welcome to Psychic and Paranormal! / Water fountain under bed = strange dreams on: March 30, 2003, 08:23:06
If you donít keep a priest handy you could purify the water yourself as Kakkarot and Criminalmind suggested. You could do this with a combination of the intent to make the water pure and channeling this intent with a visualisation. For example sit near the water and imagine intense divine energy pouring into your body from above your head, but REALLY feel that it IS divine energy and in fact it should make you feel different. Then again with your imagination feel the divine energy being directed down your finger tips into the water. This isnít a rigid method or anything, so be creative if you like. If you like after doing something similar to the above you could direct the same energy down into your dominant hand and keeping your index finder just above the water draw a holy or protective symbol, a pentagram perhaps. If you are connecting with the divine energy source there is no reason why you should consider yourself any less Ďholyí than a priest. You can also purify water with salt but who knows how well thatís gonna go down with the fountain [Smiley]

116  Metaphysics / Welcome to Metaphysics! / Help in starting devolpment in Psychic and Magic p on: March 27, 2003, 04:42:19
Hi Amonra

Not to be overly melodramatic (it makes writing fun![Cheesy]) but at this early stage in your development you stand at a very important cross road. On one side there is the pursuit of psychic powers, on the other there is the pursuit of personal evolution. If you take the later you will indeed gain access to the same if not more impressive psychic abilityís without trying to get them. If you strive for personal evolution, via means of meditation, ceremonial magic, whatever, you will pick up psychic abilityís as a by product of your evolution. Sure you use em to your advantage, but you donít get fixated on them. To take on the mentality that you are doing your energy work and meditation to become more psychically active is a big trap to get into. All of that being said however I think we all were inspired by great magical and psychic feats when we first started on our paths, I know I was! But itís an important thing to keep in mind. An exception to the concept that psychic ability should not be pursued actively but experienced as a byproduct of spiritual evolution is astral projection, it is a great tool for the student of evolution.

G,day David

Great question! My knowledge of the development of occult theory over time and the effects that the blending of cultures has had is not that great. Looking at the different magicís used commonly in the past by different cultures it seems the idea of using intent and belief to store energy of a particular quality into an object seems universal. However I have no idea when storing energy in an object to feed a thought form began. Of course ritual sacrifice has been around for a very long time, however to the best of my knowledge this has always been done, at least on a cultural level, to appease a deity, not a thought form or a lessor entity than a deity. Except perhaps in Voodoo where sacrifice may have been used for the empowerment of lessor entities, Iím not really sure. Accounts of ritual being used for shape shifting in the African continent involve giving of oneself to a faey or nature spirit in terms of ownership, which is bound to involve giving of energy. So this is what I can brainstorm regarding the timeline part of your question.

On the topic of using a thought form keep in mind that is a construct made by using your intent and mental energy to mold astral Ďstuffí. A thought form is always going to be using your energy in terms of creation, unless it is connected to an alternative source of power for its continued maintenance it is likely to use your energy as a means of survival. If things get out of hand and the thought form is not terminated or programmed with adequate limitations it is possible for it to become aware in a sense, and vampires you or other people. Iím getting a bit off track but my key point is that when an entity is made by you, it is going to cost you some energy. Now when you invoke an entity to do your work itís a different ball park, while a trade could indeed be made with an entity to give a part of yourself in return for work done, this is not necessary. Invoked entities can be controlled in an all take and no give kind of way.

Study is the only way, the articles written by Robert Bruce available on the main are a great place to start. Learning about the functioning of the human energy body would probably be the most beneficial place for you to begin. An understanding of the processes involved in your abilities is a major step in gaining control. Of course asking plenty of questions on the forums here and reading back through past topics will help you to no end also.

I donít have an explanation for you, but some good advice might be to not get fixated on it and to see this as a sign of progress. If this has been bought on by energy work Iím sure in time with continued energy work you will come to an understanding.

Hi ya Secretseeress

When I first read Fat turkey's post I was thinking exactly the same thing, well until I applied my recently learned jargon from, do you have an interest in wicca or another magical system if you donít mind me asking? The Ki, psi systems of energy working are very popular around here of late and arguments for and against the systems are ongoing.[Smiley] Risu no kairu describes what Fat turkey meant well. You can see from the description that one could argue that it is they same as a thought form, however its probably a more complex discussion than this. The people who try to make Ki balls and 'energy constructs' as mentioned above it seems are more attempting to create an energy structure using energy of the same vibratory quality of 'life' energy, KI what ever you choose to call it. Which is different to making a construct in the astral. Both can be programmed in identical ways, but in my opinion the construction of thought forms is MUCH easier to achieve successful results with. Oh and I donít think Iíve bumped into you before, or maybe I never noticed you until you got the kitty avatar, so hi!

I have an article that is actually about scrying, but has some very useful advice on unwanted body movements during imagery. While the article is focusing on avoiding physical movement during imagined movement, not tactile imaging, the skill should carry over no problem. It is a long article but its a great read and it also has a great method of removing unwanted spontaneous mental chatter during concentration exercise.http://

123  Astral Chat / Welcome to Astral Chat! / Can you see someone's aura... on: March 23, 2003, 11:10:31
Hi Enderwiggin

The first of the egg shaped layers of the aura (which I have only seen a handful of times myself) in simplified terms interacts with the auras of others in ways that create an energy equilibrium between people. The quality of this layer is determined by the general life outlook of that person. So while another part of the aura reflects the current emotional and mental processors of a person this layer shows more the average quality of that person. This layer is also connected to the subconscious mind. An empathic person is more in connection with the energy exchange and communication that goes on between peoples auras, and allows the thinking mind to be tuned in to the interactions of your energy body and perhaps subconscious mind, well as is to my understanding any way. Different people gain mental access to these energy interactions via different means. For some it is straight forward aura seeing and reading, clairaudience as you seem to be developing or as for the majority it is an understanding of unknown origin  triggered by close contact or just laying eyes on a person. Although you might not be seeing the aura with your vision you are still attuned to the processes taking place between parties.

The involvement of the subconscious mind in this opens up huge possibilities, if one were empathic enough just imagine what they could find out. And then if they had greater control over their contribution to the exchange of energy and information that is always going on between people in close proximity, could they even influence the other persons subconscious mind with suggestion without ever saying a spoken word? Pretty cool stuff huh!

Oh and btw it is my experience that the more refined an energy vibration is the more difficult it is to pick up on, just an observation that might prove useful to you.

If you never read this thread it might interest you. http://

best regards

125  Astral Chat / Welcome to Astral Chat! / Can you see someone's aura... on: March 23, 2003, 06:20:32

I can see peoples auras on TV and in photos, however they are harder for me to see. What is interesting is that there does seem to be a change when the person in the picture dies. If I look at a picture of a deceased person I donít see much at all, when Iím more advanced with auric sight Ill definitely experiment with this more. I do know that if a person is excited their aura in a picture is much easier to see. A long while back as Tom mentioned I posted about being able to see an aura around shadows cast by living things. They are just as easy to see as the actual aura if not easier under a full moon or the right lighting. Empathic ability also developed along with auric sight for myself. I cant yet look at a persons aura and tell you a lot about them from what I see in their aura, but I have developed the ability to deeply understand a person after seeing them and especialy after passing through their aura.
