1  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Astral Consciousness! / Re: Do you think we lose consciousness/awareness during sleep? on: March 23, 2021, 09:24:25
interesting the idea about mental tiredness from continuous awareness
so do you think it would be unhealthy mentally to have a conscious projection everynight ? do we still need that downtime
ive always woken feeling pretty euphoric from an ap but i never have them frequently enough to notice any kind of fatigue
or are you talking more about insomnia with boughts of lucid dreams in between so there is no noticeable break in between ?
2  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Astral Projection Experiences! / Re: Post links to your OBE journals here. on: March 21, 2021, 21:03:40
thanks very much for the feedback lumaza
i will take on board your advice about the affirmations

it was mainly a place for me to store my dream journals in a digital format fleshed out from my paper notes so its a bit rough around the edges
i struggle to articulate myself aswell as some people do but i enjoy adding to it when i have any ap breakthroughs or standout lucid dreams

my vibrations are more of a felling being electrically charged accompanied by a intense pulsing sound hard to describe but like womp womp womp womp and very fast speed
i have experienced falling through bed, rising out of bed gently drifting sideways out of bed
aural hallucinations of people chatting in my room
also shouting and had very aggressive voice that felt right next to my head
chanting and languages i do not understand
flashes of light and loud clicks or snaps
hypnogogic imagery
intense fear and feeling of presence in the room

6  Astral Chat / Welcome to Astral Chat! / Re: Who We Are on: March 18, 2021, 15:43:42
hi im going to be 45 this summer
i have a very short buzz cut and my once brown hair is tipping to gradually towards the silver gray side of the spectrum
stocky and carrying a little extra weight after lockdown but still pretty fit as my job requires alot of up and down ladders
blue eyes big smile

growing up in the late seventies and early eighties i to can relate to the care free days of being out all day in the fresh air without the restraints that have become part of everyday life now

when i was about 10 my mother was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and my younger brother was involved in a accident on a motorbike that severely damaged his foot and spent many months in hospital and back and forwards for skin grafts and operations

i guess i was kind of left to my own devices a bit i wasnt neglected but there was so much else going on
as i hit my teens and my rebellious side came out (still with the ongoing coming to terms of my mums illness) i started hitting drugs pretty hard and binged drinked i spent most of the 90s and early 2000s burying my head in the sand taking all manner of substances
it was right in the middle of rave culture so lsd and ecstasy were a massive part of that period of my life and opened my mind in many ways

these days im almost t-total i dont smoke am clean of all drugs and only have the odd beer here and there
i have two beautiful children with my long term partner i am not married to her
i enjoy walks on dartmoor and visiting stone circles or ancient megalithic sites

astral projection has never come easy to me its something i have worked at and have had varying degrees of success and failure
but the fear that used to hold me back has gone
7  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Astral Projection Experiences! / Four years fallow on: February 22, 2021, 11:45:28
well its been four years sinse i have had anything notable to write about ive not been dream journaling and although ive had a few lucid moments here and there they have been nothing that i have felt the need to write down
at the moment we are almost a year into the corona virus pandemic and with the rolling lockdowns ive had alot of chances to not get up to the usual alarm which i thought would be great for that extra bit of rem sleep but its not yielded as much as i thought

last night however was different i became suddenly aware of being in the vibrational state, having experienced this many times now i just neutrally observe them and feel them intensifying
after some time i feel like i need to make a effort to switch my consciousness, i have a confused clarity pinballing from the vibrations to dreamstate i have a bright flash as my astral eyes try to open then suddenly im in my old bedroom at my parents house there are two very aggressive humanoids that are giving me huge pangs of fear and uncomfortableness
im very lucid and i want to leave the room its not a pleasant feeling
i try to gather myself and make a conscious effort to change the scene but it doesnt work
i make a dash and try to fly out through the bedroom window (something that comes easy usually for me in lucid states) but i fail and im still in the room with the two entity’s they are shouting and i do not understand the language
finally i face the two humanoids and kind of let go of the fear and i gain full control i change the scene to a cityscape and begin exploring
i must of drifted back into unconscious sleep and failed to download anymore of that part of the night
later on in the early hours i felt the onset of a second set of vibrations, i heard a lot of chatter that sounded close to me and silently observed them recognising them as aural hallucinations
i focus on the vibrations and change the pitch of them until they become super intense and high pitched
i dont experience an exit but do experience varying degrees of lucidity through the next series of dreams
the one thing that stuck out was sitting with a group of friends explaining the events of the last attempt with the malevolent humanoids and how i was attempting to open my astral eyes to what turned out to be dream characters as i finally opened my eyes and returned to waking life

11  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Re: Missing my "nonphysical activities" :( on: June 17, 2016, 03:13:54
i dont worry about them at all
i take my experiences as and when they come and am grateful that i am lucky enough to be able to even have them
my main motivation is enjoying time with my family
night time conscious adventures are just another hobbie really Smiley
12  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Re: Missing my "nonphysical activities" :( on: June 16, 2016, 18:22:21
i tend to burn the candles at both ends and get the very minimum sleep i need this definatly has an effect on how often i can get a lucid moment as im over tired alot of the time
but ive had great results when ive decided im going to bed early
that extra hour or so can make a big difference being able to doze again before your alarm goes off

my one year old is now sleeping through the night so i dont get my free wake and back to bed wake up call for a bottle (im not complaining lol) but that really did help with lucid experiences during the early days of both my children

i think sleep patterns are just as important as reading up and having the intent in your subconscious
13  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Re: Missing my "nonphysical activities" :( on: June 16, 2016, 17:48:07
im in a bit of a dry spell too but i think it happens to most from time to time
it wont be the last time for sure
just keep the intent and you will be back again
life sometimes leaves you a little drained but hey you sleep every night that is a potential chance for a self aware non physical adventure every day of your life
you will be back there again very soon its just a matter of time  grin

16  Astral Chat / Welcome to Astral Chat! / Re: What do you's think of using ego to bodybuild and gain confidence? on: May 28, 2016, 19:20:14
my opinion
nothing wrong with exercising to get fit
body building i find a strange past time its kind of taking the body image to the other extreme alot of people get obsessive and keep going until they look unnaturally big
i would say ignore your ego and just try to be comfortable with yourself, you can exercise eat healthy and enjoy life
being built like a brick outhouse isnt necessarily going to make you any less self conscious learning to love yourself for who you are is the key
17  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Re: What was this? on: May 28, 2016, 19:04:52
you were defiantly in sleep paralysis you get all sorts of aural hallucinations while in that state
the vibrations sometimes come from here to for me
the trick is to just passively observe what is happening and not let the fear overcome you (easyer said than done)
but when you do you will find you will be able to relax through whatever phenomenon you are experiencing and move on to the next stage

heres a thread from the stickies all about sleep paralysis
18  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Astral Consciousness! / Re: FILD Technique (very high success rate) on: May 20, 2016, 14:40:13
I had some success with this technique last night
Also combined it with the wild technique as my neighbor was outside on his phone at 3.00am and it woke me up so I went to the toilet and then tried to get back to sleep but he was still chatting and it kept me awake until about 4.00am
All the time I was trying to doze off I was wiggling my fingers

I must have been in a unconscious dream but then suddenly my awareness snapped and I had the sudden instinct to separate from my body I felt like I was physically sitting up and I felt a sensation of pulling away from my real body
There were no vibrations or other exit signs it happened super fast and I had to actually check if I was out of body as it felt like I may have just woken up I jumped up and floated up through the celling into the attic everything went black
I think the experience carried on in a dream like scenario but awareness was fuzzy and I don't recall what happened upon waking
Good results though I'll have another few goes with this method Smiley
19  Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Astral Projection Experiences! / Re: Near Astral Projection in my first week on: May 19, 2016, 02:30:47
your defiantly on the right path fear is a hurdle we all have to face
just keep doing what you are doing and learning a bit more each time
you need to be a passive observer of whats happening alot easier said than done but keep practicing
20  Psychic and Paranormal / Welcome to Psychic and Paranormal! / Re: How do I remove this? on: May 14, 2016, 23:32:05
I don't want to judge you as I don't know you but my first impression from your post was psychosis
Who do you believe has implanted you ?
And do you really think this is the place to come for that kind of help ?
21  The Astral Library / Welcome to Book Reviews! / astral odyssey by carol eby on: May 11, 2016, 00:43:38
published by weiser this was a nice little book found in one of the brilliant esoteric bookshops in Glastonbury town uk

*the blurb*
carol is a self taught astral projector. she graduated from black hills state university with a b.s in mathematics chemistry and biology and received her mba from the university of south Dakota she lives in the black hills of south Dakota this is her first book

i really enjoyed this book its written in a very analytical way due to her scientific background but its also non partial and not bias to any school of thought
for the level i am at with my own practice i found it helpful but its not just an instruction manual or a list of techniques its a step by step incremental look at the way we can enter non physical reality's and what they mean

the book starts talking about consciousnesses and dreams and really breaks down the way she felt in certain dreams it goes on to talk about lucid dreams but also trys not to label them all as separate and explains them as a continuation of consciousness

then the section on astral projection and a balanced argument as to if its a subjective reality contained within our own mind or if its actually an objective experience in a actual non physical realm or parallel dimension making no real conclusions other than the experience she has personally had

there are a few useful techniques to help you to exit into a obe but its not primarily that kind of book

then there is a whole section at the end that is made up of her journal and her more memorable obes

defiantly worth a read  not sure if some of the more experienced projectors will get quite as much from it but ii found it was written in a refreshing way than alot of other books ive read on the same subject
