Astral Chat / Welcome to Astral Chat! / Re: How will I know if I am dead?

Ha, ha, DR! Like that.
Most people know when they have passed over, often by looking at their own body from the outside (like in AP, only not temporarily), seeing doctors declaring them dead, relatives crying, etc. They then realise that they are no longer in the right place and move on.
A few people either do not understand what has happened, or refuse to believe it. They then become what are crudely called "ghosts" (as described in Adrian's book "Our Ultimate Reality").
All beings pass to the astral eventually, though.

I agree with Xanth. It is important to view astral projection as a "normal" activity. As he implies, you project when you sleep - the only difference being that you have no control over what happens in your normal dreams. Control comes either via making your dream lucid, or by projecting from fully conscious (by trance).
It might be best to concentrate on your attitudes to AP, especially eliminating any sense of fear first. I would never recommend projecting whilst you feel fear; that could result (if you were to successfully project) in an unpleasant experience. The only way forward is to think positively and lovingly. It would be better for your projection to happen later and be pleasant, than for it to happen soon and be unpleasant.

There ya go... so far, two unique and independent positive reviews. Well, you'd better make that three. I started off with Steve Jones' materials and moved on from there. The binaural tones are good and his lessons are inspiring in tone. I fell out with his organisation later on, though. I kept on getting spammy publicity e-mails allegedly from "Steve", but with a very aggressive marketing tone. One said, "I want this year to be the year when you will kick SERIOUS BUTT". I wrote to his support team protesting that such aggressive language did not seem appropriate, as I had no intention of kicking anyone's butt, this year or ever! I got the reply that they found the remark "kinda funny" and that they would pass on my comments to the publicity company which had written the letter. Yes, his organisation thinks only $$$$$, but the fact remains that his course did set me off on the right track.

But 90% of my last tryings is something that i really hate. When i try to move i feel moving sensation. If i move my hands just infront of my eyes i feel the sensation of that,BUT my hands are not moving at all.Same for all parts of the body.So i am trying and trying and then wake up in real. It is not easy to tell from your description, but it sounds to me that you are visualising moving your etheric hands, but then looking for them with your physical eyes, or at least thinking in that way. You could also be trying too hard to attain your projection; it is important to be relaxed and at peace during your preparation. You go on to say, "There was just one time when i tried something different while i was in the same situation.Instead of moving i tried to imagine that my body is standing up and walking.. I closed my eyes while i was in paralysys and imagined really hard... as best i could. Then a blurry sort of sea waved type of vision appeared infront of my eyes and i was standing up and walking.. But it was really short." Others may disagree, but to me this sounds more promising than the other version! Do you meditate and go into trance for your AP, or do you access via lucid dreams? Certainly, your mention of paralysis means that you very close.

I have found, just from talking to people, in my personal life, that the more conservative, closed minded people tend to struggle with projection. Interestingly enough, these people are usually not the most innovative and are stressed out easily. They reject new ways of thinking.
I agree with the above. Astral projection is nothing to do with age, rather with being open-minded. I was 61 when I had my first projection, and since then I have projected very frequently. When I was younger, I would not even have been interested in AP, even if someone had told me about it. Too busy with work and such like... So in that sense, AP gets easier with age!

Welcome to the forum! I'm sorry to hear about your daughter passing over. However, astral projection may show you that she her soul is still very much alive and perhaps one day you will be able to visit her on the astral.

Contenteo, I do not quite understand where your arguments are leading. If any attempt to collect the experiences of people meeting their pets on the astral would result in fiction, then does that mean that a similar attempt to compile the experiences of meetings with people we have known (family, friends) on the astral would equally be fiction? Or you suggesting the old fashioned view that humans are "superior"? Intellect and spiritual awareness are not the same.
If we can meet people who have passed over, we can meet animals we have known, too. If you think that APers meeting those who have passed over will result in fiction, you are entitled to your opinion. But it just that - your opinion. Others equally have the right to differ.
Majour, thanks so much for your helpful reply. Can you supply details about Gordon Smith?

Astral Projection & Out of Body Experiences / Welcome to Astral Projection Experiences! / Appeal for help

I am currently trying to develop a new webpage on the specific subject of animals on the astral - both domestic and wild. I did a search on this forum, but didn't find anything apart from my original thread when I joined.
I'm sure that there are many experienced APers on this forum who have encountered animals during their visits. If so, I would be truly grateful if you could PM with your experiences:
What sort of animals did you see? Were they with other animals or with people? Could you communicate telepathically with them? What interaction did you have with them? What levels of the astral did you observe them on? Anything else of interest...
My own experience, for what it is worth, is that animals are to be found on all levels of the astral, rather like humans. Assuming 7 levels in total on the astral, in my experience on level 4 they can understand one's thoughts but not all can "speak" telepathically. On level 3 and above ("ascending") I have found that they can both understand and communicate telepathically, just as humans. It would seem that the level depends upon their spirituality rather than raw intelligence.
Any contributions will be most gratefully appreciated! I came to AP fairly late in life, so the experiences of long-term projectors will be invaluable. Thank you in advance....

I think Xanth has stated some wise words: "Nobody can control the spirit of another". We are only controlled when we allow ourselves to be; and most of the people on this and similar forums are too attuned to be controlled by such demonic forces as you describe - assuming they exist. Those not aware of "other dimensions" to life, or rejecting their existence, cannot be controlled, either. Each life form has its own unique will, "life imprint', etc. and cannot be "possessed" unless it wants to be.
You are entitled to your opinions and I respect your right to have them. However, I personally do not believe in all this talk of demons. There are indeed "negative forces", but these merely feed on the negative energy of others. They are not intrinsically "evil", as we all are part of the universe, the source, call it what you will. Such "negative forces" will die away in the long term, as we are all on an evolutionary spiritual journey - and we evolve forwards, not backwards. All this talk of demons and so forth, IMHO, is taking us back to primitive superstition and duality (war between good and bad, between a God with a beard and a being with a toasting fork) rather than true spiritual awareness.
