I'm sure we can all agree that we're currently experiencing one hell of a strange year considering all the natural disasters that have taken place, We've also seen countless thousands take to the streets in the Middle-East, Rome, London and even DC, some would perceive this as a mass-awakening. We definitely seem to be at a fork in the road, was 2010 the deep breath before the plunge?

I found this to be a very moving video anyway, and thought I'd share it here. Enjoy!

First off, the only special thing about 2012 will be what some people CHOOSE to make of it.
But then, those are ALWAYS the only two choices people have.

We can always act out of fear...
or
We can always act out of love...

That's nothing new.  The Human Civilization has seen a lot of Fear-Motivated action recently... but on the flip side, we've also seen a lot of Love-Motivated action as well.  Just take the horrible disasters in Japan recently.  Very terrible, but out of it, I'm seeing lots of Love-Motivated action happening.  People giving generously.  People praying for their safety... it all helps.

"Your thoughts effect the world in which you live."  <-- A more true statement has never been said.

Simply put, 2012 isn't anything special... and if something happens, it'll be because people MADE it happen, not because it was destined to happen.
It makes me wonder if "2012" was never mentioned, would we still be experiencing this crap?  My personal opinion is that I highly doubt it.

Oh and thank you Mattoid for posting that.  It's a great video with a seriously awesome message... and I hope more people don't just listen to the message, but act upon it as well.

that's always an issue i have.  things definitely seem intense right now, but i wasn't around to see the social climate in the past.  for all i know, events in the past may have seemed much more intense than our time now.  like the great depression or WWI or WWII.  i mean, i bet people thought the world was coming to an end.  not to mention the countless revolutions and such around the world.  i just don't know that this moment is more important than the others.  i have nothing to compare my experience to.  though, i will admit, things seem to be changing in a way that i feel has happened in a long time.
