I would work as hard as I could to build up a strong defense in case the b*stards came to screw us all over. Then I'd try peaceful negotiations and offerings while keeping wary. After a year or so of peaceful talks I might be nice, but I'll always be cautious.

Everyone is an alien most everywhere in this universe.
So what is the Question? And as long as the Relativity Theory of Einstein still holds, a physical appearence of aliens is quite impropable. A nonphysical appearence may be a quite usual event on the other side. What would really freak us all out, is if SETI could detect an alien signal.

einstein's theory would have nothing to do with a planet previously unbeknownst to us popping into the sky due to some extremely elliptical orbit and containing life.
what would i do? i would smile and start laughing and say 'welcome back, nibiru!' or something like that. i wonder what THEY would do?
I'd try to date one of the more attractive aliens and have alien babies like that movie V.
Either that or i'd start shooting at them.
Actually, i think if something did happen, we would just add them on to the list of races in our world and learn to adapt. Haven't we learned by now that you cannot judge beings by looks?
Now, if they weild laser guns, this is when you nuke them back home :D

i would round up my best friend and respective families and head for the most remote place i can find. me and my friend actually have a plan in mind if society were to break down as we know it.
i think this is wise for all people to have. think about it.........if there was a terrorist attack or a severe natural disaster to happen in the middle of a work day, does anyone have a plan on how to meet up with your family if comminunications are down?its like having a fire escape plan in your house. if the disaster happened around your neighborhood you should have another meeting place for your family.
and yes i was one of the weirdoes who had stuff stocked up in the basement when the y2k thing was a scare. my motto is its better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.

If aliens came I'd double my psionics training, If they were evil. If they were nice aliens (like ET), I'd laugh at everyone who called me bonkers when I said aliens HAD to be out there.
