Baka ;). Why should I call it Japanamation? Do you call US-Cartoons Americanamation too? Anime means animation, and because it is a japanese word (iirc), it should be obvious where the animation comes from. Ergo: No need for the useless term "Japanamation".

Sorry for not replying my computer was being fixed.  People used to call it Japanamation before it became"popular" which is pretty much before good internet.

And crazy_colombiang it says almost any topic is permissable here.

...I don't like the Idea...
why would I be talking about anime at all...
let alone calling it japanamation?

also...Veccolo?
calling others Baka is BAD!
even if they are >.<
and if your gonna call others a baka,
at least use proper sentences!
like "Anata wa baka desu"!
when I saw your Baka,my first reaction was "Nani Kore?"
and then I felt like saying "Shimata!" or "Kuso!",but,as you can see,I didn't.[;)][:P]

As long as I speak English, I will call these shows what they are: cartoons.

Why should I? In several anime, I've seen (heard) the word "Baka" used without any other words. Do you say the japanese people don't know their own language?

So, after showing off your incredible japanese skills, could you please translate whatever you have written here? I don't speak japanese except for a few words.

now,may I ask a question?
where di you learn "just a little japanese" from?

From subtitled anime, of course :) The japanese ppl are real professionals when it comes to dubbing their anime characters, that's why I always watch the original dub with subtitles.

I don't intend to learn japanese, that's why I just know a few words which are often used in anime.

the only japanese i know is from watching anime.. i dont like the dubs since they mess up the characters voices so i tend to watch it with subtitles. I'm so used to calling it anime and so are all my otaku friends so it'd be hard to suddenly start calling it Japanamation :-/

I also have trouble sometimes calling it japanimation (now you all think im crazy) but one day my friend reminded me that it used to be called Japanimation and I liked that better.  I like fansubbed Japanimation the best.

Anime is Japanese animation, sometimes billed in the west under the portmanteau Japanimation.. does it really matter if you call it Anime or Japanimation??

Actually "kore" means "this", to say "that" you should use "sore". ;p
