becoming more grounded in reality?

I have discovered that being more grounded in reality creates a more awareness in the spiritual reality as well, perceiving things... it became true for me that the more detached I became from real life, the more detached I bcame from my dreaming to the point where I'm making little to no progress. Can anyone give me some tips on how to become more 'grounded' in reality?

You mentioned that being more grounded in reality creates more awareness. Ive found that maintaining constant self awareness, and awareness of the present moment helps me stay grounded in reality. Instead of always being lost in and following the constant ramblings of the mind.

I agree with that. Activities that take concentration, like certain sports or creating art are helpful. Watching TV is not.

I also agree.
Being consciously aware of the present moment, being "in the Now" not only keeps the ramblings of the mind at bay (I like what you said here Mindfreak), it's the only way we can place ourselves squarely in the middle of our own reality in order to make our reality exactly what we want it to be.

Wanna get "grounded to reality" real fast?

Go to the mail box and count how many bills you get in a week.....that should GROUND you pretty quick!

Better yet - Don't pay your taxes.....IRS will ground you aplenty. 


Of course I'm just kidding.....I often have trouble grounding when I am projecting a lot. All I do is back away from projecting for a while. But the problem I have with that is then it is hard for me to get back into projecting again.
