Ever since I read about the life review concept I have been interested in it. Whenever someone treats me bad I think about how when they experiene the life review they will see how their actions hurt me.

Do you believe in the life review? I think that it is true, I believe the only right and wrong is in treating people good or bad. Those that treat others bad will have to live their sins and experiene the pain they inflicted, and vice versa. Those that don't have the capacity for understanding good and bad will experience why their behavior, in hurting others is "bad" and their souls will understand.

Just wanted to discuss the life review as I find it very interesting.

I do, sometimes we need that 'little help' to understand the things that we do and what it is all about. Even before the official life review at death, the consequences of our wrong doings are immediate, they appear in our dreams and lives, but it's just so easy to ignore them and keep going without changing.

I think it is a more in depth concept of what people describe when they say, "I saw my life flash before my eyes" ; it is the relatively new idea (though some early cultures may have something similar) that when a person dies, they are greeted with a vision of the events of their life, sometimes with the help of other entities to interpret it for them. They are given a chance to analyze the choices they made, and see what effects these choices had in the world.

It is quite similar to what happens to Scrooge in A Christmas Carol.

I think it is more in-depth than what Stillwater explained. Again, this is my own personal opinion, but my sense is that you review your life, but as it reviews, you relive it through the hearts and minds of others. In other words, you see and feel how every person you've interacted with feels at the time. Not only how they feel themselve from what you did/said in that situation, but how they see you.

I've had something similar happen in a few dreams I've had. Where I will be in a group of people talking, then suddenly I'm another person in the group responding. At the time, I know I was just the first person and I know how that person is thinking and feeling. But now I'm also thinking and feeling like this person. Then I'll jump to the next and so on. It sounds confusing, I know, but in the dream at the time, its all perfectly normal to me. Sometimes I simply save the 'jumping' part and instead I remain in 3rd person and I understand the thoughts and feelings of everyone at the same time as I watch the dream unfold.

Because of those experiences, my sense is that the concept of a life review is much more useful/important if you don't relive your life as you, rather you live it through the eyes of others you have either wronged or righted.

Hope that makes sense!
