LOL DOOM! That game is so old and I still love it!

beavis

doom on acid!

lol...doom is still the best game ever. In the new enhanced version, you can change the resolutions up to 1280 1600, jump, and deathmatch online. Also, doom 3 is scheduled for release any time now, so suit up and join the space marines! Be all you can be!

I remember the first time i have played Doom. When fighting against the Great Demon-Minotaur (second level ?) i was scared!!!

Very nice game! Can´t wait for Doom 3...In truth, the game that i´m expecting most it´s UFO: AFtermath. Ohh, i loved the first one: XCOM- UFO: Enemy Unknown (european name, i heard that american name it´s different).

The sensation of advancing the soldiers in wheat plantations at night, and suddlenly you are face to face with a powerful alien!! Terrifying and great at same time!

Does anyone here play that game?
I love you!

I loved the original XCOM arcade games, and own several for SNES and NES, as well as some for atariu. If you havent already guessed, im a a collector of old and classic games. I love how so many new games are coming out that pay tribute to the classics. Some new ones are: System Shock
Tron 2.0
Doom 3
Duke Nukem Forever
and many more....

Tab

whoa, I'll have to try going superconscious on super mario world.

shadowatcher

You have to REALLY get into the game. Is that even possible with Super Mario? I mean, is it detailed enough to get into character?

beavis

shadowatcher "doom is still the best game ever"

Wrong. Thats Mario 3. No game with better graphics can beat it.

Kazbadan

Super Mario it´s great too! All of them! Since you speaked in a Nintendo game, what about Zelda series? Or Castelvania? Better than Castelvania (except in the musics, wich were very good in Castelvania) is Super Ghouls and Ghosts for SuperNes.

The games that are created theses days are very equal: all looking like Ages of Empires, or FPSs, and nothing more. There is no originality. Of course that sometimes you find good pearls, like GhostMaster (very funny) or Uplink. And this last one it´s very original. YOu are in the skin of an hacker and you must make missions for a Corporation. The game is very real because in the monitor you only see things that would be saw in a hacker computer. It´s not like the typical hacker games in wich all the stuff is in 3d like in bad Sci-Fi Movie.

I love you!

shadowatcher

I love Uplink. Its a great way to experiance the lighter side of hacking. Of course it has nothing to do with what real hackers do, but its fun anyway. Games like Uplink that "break out" from the rest of the crowd are the best.

I bought it when it came out, and over the years kept playing it. Too bad it run on my comp anymore, but aftermath will fix that problem.

Last night I had a great trance, which left me wide awake and very alert. I decided I would make use of my alertness to beat the next level in Doom. As many of you know, Doom is a the original Sci-Fi FPS, (first person shooter). Its graphics may be a little low tech for nowadays, but with the updated version ZDOOM, the graphics are still chilling. //www.idsoftware.com. Anyway, after playing for about 10mins, I became more and more conscious of the game, and less and less conscious of playing. Eventually, I felt my thoughts COMPLETELY seguay into the game. It was exremely scary, and since I was playing on the "Nightmare" difficulty, I was having trouble staying alive. After about an hour of playing with complete conscousness, I was suddenly booted back to my body after being hit by a demon. Has anyone else become super-conscious in a video game?
