waken up somehow

I think your body just gets use to waking up at a certain time, so it naturally wakes up when it is suppose to. I have started doing this a lot lately. For some reason I wake up at 4am, about 45 minutes earlier than I need to get up but I still consistantly do this every morning. Then the alarm goes off and I hit snooze. Then I find I wake up a few seconds to a minute before the alarm goes off again. As long as I am not too tired or sick this seems to happen every day.
Alice had got so much into the way of expecting nothing but out-of-the-way things to happen, that it seemed quite dull and stupid for life to go on in the common way.

Sometimes i wake up with the feeling that the alarm clock is about to go off in a second or to... and it does![8D]

I´m not kidding. And I must point out that I don´t set the alarm to go off the same time every morning.

I've had a similar experience but what woke me up was a particular event in my, ummm, dream.  I've posted it elsewhere on this board.  I thought it was hilarious.

I woke up about 30 min. before my alarm but realized that it might not be set.  I lay there for awhile and ended up going back to sleep, which was what I was afraid would happen.

Anyhoo, I had a dream and in it, ummm, my daughter gave me a wedgie.  Yes, I said wedgie.  I felt like my underwear was being hiked up as far as it would go and it became more and more uncomfortable.  The pain in my dream was enough to wake me up.

Needless to say, I, uh, woke up 3 or 4 minutes before I needed to be up.  AND the alarm did go off eventually as well.

I have no explanation.  Sleep patterns I guess?  Higher self?  Coincidence?  Maybe, in my case, my underwear was too tight??
Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a  well  preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting,

". . . holy sh*t . . . what a ride!"

i dont get it, today at approxamitly 4:04 am i woke up with a notion that my alarm clock never went off but yet i woke up at only 4 minutes after it was supposed to go off which was 4:00 am. this kind of puzzles me >scratching head< does anyone know how this happens? its happened to me like 10 times now, and im kind of stumped because usually i dont get up on my own with out something going off. and now im waking up to the time my alarm clock is supposed to go off.
if anyone has any advice or clue to  why this is happening please post it.

thanx,
