What is your ideal way to exit this plane? Also what is the worst way you fear?

This is not meant to be serious or prophetic not even morbid just curious.

I have often asked this question of friends but once someone really freaked out and thought I was suicidal or something. No, I'm not. This is not a whiny suicide thread so don't even start with that. Thanks for posting in advance

Fighting a bear, or watching a comet crash into the planet.
:-)

The worse way to die I'd say is something like getting killed by a taxi, or drowning.

I wouldn't mind dying from drowning.... like surfing big waves, extreme kayaking....

drowning is suppose to be euphoric, I wouldn't want to get eaten by a shark though.

to me the worst is ...something like...cancer with all that suffering.

In my sleep, but with a clue.

yeah, a clue would be nice. I wonder if people who die naturally get a clue.

Most people want to live long & pass away in their sleep painlessly.

I had a very awesome dream once where I watched a giant glowing comet coming down infront of my house.

If I had to choose a way to die it would be giving my own life to save others. And I'd like to know before hand that I'm about to die so that I can try and retain lucidity into death.

Biggest fears: drowning, being burnt alive or having boiled water poured over me till I die.

I'm kind of scared of being eaten alive but at least something would be getting a meal out of me and it would meet some of my karma from when I used to eat meat.

What if while you project, your mind takes on the event taking place and turns into a nightmare because you have the feeling of dying? :?

In the apocalypse of course.  What better way to die than going down in flames with everyone else.  It would be quite the bonding experience.
be awesome.

Never.  And by never I mean until nanobots are developed and embedded into human bodies and take over the gradual process of death by nanobotically regenerating cells, tissues, etc, all the while making you stronger and less likely to take damage.  LIKE WOLVERINE (with boobs).

Lol, "nanobotically".

I had a vivid dream/nightmare where I was disarming a nuke with a friend and it went off and destroyed everything. That's a pretty good way to go I guess.

I wouldn't mind that but only if we can visit other planets

Suicide

Would like to project before though, if I don't stop failing!  :-P

I think I would like to be conscious through the process, even if it was painful. I'd like to think I could do it without being scared, but I've never been in that situation before either. Maybe it could even be exciting.

Some samurai were taught to meditate on horrible deaths so they wouldn't be afraid of it when they entered battle.

is it bad when your dreams are better than real life!

I want to die knowing when, where, and how. I want to have complete control of it. So, I suppose I would want to have a long term illness and decide when I would want it to end. This way, my family can prepare (not that I would tell them when), and I will have the control, so to speak. I don't like surprises like gunshots, strokes, and heart attacks. LOL. I hope that doesn't offend anyone.

A psychic friend of mine said I would live to a ripe old age and then have a joyous conscious death like the Buddhist monks who meditate their way out and choose not to bring their consciousness back to the body. I love that idea being the control freak that I am.

She also said when I experience an OOBE that it is a very similar feeling people have when they die. In reading "The Tibetan Book of the Dead" that seems to line up with what they believe so by us practicing OOBE while we are alive perhaps we're just getting good training for dealing with the afterlife. (A Tibetan monk once told me that the Buddhist lucid dream practice is what they consider the fastest track to enlightenment - a good book on this is "The Tibetan Yogas of Dream and Sleep").
