Fantastic story Moontingle! I am a moonchild myself... and am of some native american descent... recently I began to learn to play the flute...

REally? The Native American descent, and the flute playing, I mean.
What nation are you from? And the flute, do you have books you're learning from? Young men used to play a wooden flute outside the tipis of the young woman they wanted to court. Someone gave me a wooden flute, but I haven't learned to do a thing with it.
In the spring, we have a bird that really sounds like it's playing a few notes on a silver flute.

Flute music is PURE love, And so is the harp. And drums and ... music.

Family lore states that my great grandmather on my mother's side was an Apache. Of course there is no paperwork on that.

Interestingly, my flute was a gift from my wife. I had wanted to get one for some time, but good ones are expensive and I really had no idea what to get. My wife bought me one for Xmas, and I love it! It is a "D" bamboo Balinese Suling.

I really can't say I know how to play at all, but I try to practice everyday on my lunch hour. I bought a small chromatic tuner so I could have some kind of guide what I am playing.

On my lunch hour I try to go down to the river where I can walk in the forest and be alone. Sometimes I play for the trees, the valleys, the hills, or the hawks who circle far overhead. The other day I went to a park, and wound up playing for half an hour to a rooster, who listened very attentively! [:I]

Sometimes, when I am earnestly trying to honor the forest strange music seems to come out of it's own accord. I can never duplicate the song when I go home.

The flute sound and especially flute music definitely has a loving energy!

It must beautifull playing flute in harmony with nature! You are lucky if have time to do that on the lunch hour. There is love on what you do, don´t loose that!

Yes there is love in playing the flute - or in making nearly any music. Also, after work, I go to an apartment that I used to live at at go for a swim in their pool or their hot tub - but don't tell them.

(I think it's okay though, so far this year I have been the only one in the pool!)

Pyro, why is it creepy? Never miss an opportunity to say I love you to someone -- even all of the someone's here who we might never get to know in person.

This school year, I decided I was going to love my students, warts and all - no matter how awful some of them were and are. Inner city kids - they get so little of it. I have even managed to tame the Queen grump of the senior class by just ignoring the nastiness and loving her with kindness anyway. And a wonderful thing has happened with this bunch of kids, so different from each other - it is a totally integrated school -- are supportive and loving and friendly towards each other and towards me. If I am not there, they will tell me they missed me when I come back.

So, pyro, nothing creepy about saying I love you to anyone. It always makes someone feel valued and appreciated. Say it often, or at least, say it with actions if you can't seem to find the words.

So, I love you and everyone else who feels the love tonight here on the AP.

As for the rest of you guys, I am 50, cuddly, and cute as hell! Not interested in a 20 year old, but might consider someone else like myself who is at the gateway to geezerdom.[

Suddenly i felt an urge to say to all of you guys: i love you! life is so short! one can say goodbye when you less expect...the friend of a friend died recently, and a very old member of my family died recently too...that makes me think about how quick we pass through this life.

So, since i never know when i am going to die, or when i will see you guys, for the last time, i just want to give you my love, all the love that i feel exploding in my chest in this right moment: i love you! who ever you be, reading this

lol, no, sorry Nay if i gave you the feeling that things are wrong with me. Things are ok! I mean, those persons who died they were not very closed to me. I got sad about their deaths. I got sad about the friend of a friend because he was such a good person and very young (near fortys i think), but i didnt knew him very well, i just spoke with him a few times. And i got sad with the death of the old woman because she was the cousin of my granmother and a very sweet person (but this death was more easy to accept, because it was a "natural" death, from being too old).

Those death make me think: we never know when its our hour! So thats the reason for me having that urge on saying i love you (on my last post on this thread) because once again i was remembered (through the death of those 2 persons) that one may die when we less expect...

With the exception of these 2 deaths, things are very ok with me since the last month
