Hi everyone!

I have been on here some time ago, searching for answers about what the Astral Plane actually contain.
Lately I have been working hard on astral projecting, but I have been having a hard time doing so.
Here's my experiences, hope you can help me!

I have several times tried laying down relaxing, for more than an hour, thinking of nothing/a single specific thing, trying to empty my mind.
The problem is i never reach the vibration state.

Now before all this, I actually had a more successful experience.
I had just been sleeping, and I put some music in my ears, and sat down just to meditate, trying to find inner peace, relaxation and pure happiness.
I never intended to Astral Project, I just felt like meditating.
A few days before this I watched a video, where they talked about counting down from a 100, focusing on your breath -
Which I then did, and the moment i hit 0, my head started vibrating, and making "radio frequency-like" noises.
Because I never actually intended this, I accidentally opened my eyes and broke the vibration.
After that day, I have had countless of tries, to reach the same state again, but i with no success.
I thought a lot about the differences between that day, and my other tries and came to the conclusions that I:

- Had no expectations
- I felt sleepy
- Didn't try hard to Astral Project
- I sat up meditating instead of laying down

Now, trying to do the same things, i have still not been lucky. I just can't reach the vibrational state again.
I really need some outside help, some suggestions from someone who have had the same problems as I.
Another question I had on mind is, how do I stop myself from swallowing? Many guides say I may not move a muscle, but I can't stop to swallow, damn.

Hello Rusty. First off, what you want to achieve is "losing" focus on your physical body. Awaiting vibrations is the opposite of that. You don't "need" to have vibrations to AP. Vibrations are only a "signpost", but not all people experience them.

Return back to this. If you had positive results, don't change anything. I have some exercise in my "Doorway" thread that will keep your mind off of your physical body. You can try them as is, then develop a way that is comfortable personally for yourself. Use them only as a "guideline". Once the scene begins to change, stay with it and "allow" it morph while you passively observe it with a air of curiosity. Then write down your results in your Astral log. There are some other links in my thread that will lead to other exercises as well.

Once again, vibrations aren't important. I had the swallowing issue as well. I fixed it by doing 2 things. First was attempting my AP session while sitting up in a chair instead of lying down. The second way was losing my focus on my physical body completely. When I did that I wasn't focused on my breathing, saliva, swallowing or anything like that. It's easier said than done though. But persistent practice will help you conquer all.
