Area 51??

Hey guys!! 1st  i will wish all of u a happy and a prosperous new year! Now back to the topic, well i am sure most of u here would have heard about the most controversial military stronghold...AREA 51!! Well , i can accept their need for secrecy ,as it is a prime criteria for their national security!!
So ,if this is a top notch research place exclusive for the military, I wont raise any questions but it isn't so.(that's what i hear).!! Does this military base have contacts with aliens??or do they have remnants of an alien spaceship which is supposed to have crashed??Well i myself am a rookie when it comes to astral projection so i have no ways to clear this doubt. So ..i am asking all those seasoned projectors if they have been to this place (the astral replica of this place) or do they have any idea about it??......anywya...thanks a lot!!!

I don't think they have any of that stuff. Aliens will never be able to contact us (at least not in the physical) because of the vast distances involved in space travel. If you were to send a message as fast as you could to the nearest star besides the Sun (Proxima Centauri) it would take 4.3 years to reach it. Have you ever imagined trying to have a telephone conversation with someone with 4.3 years between each line of dialogue? Proxima Centauri doesn't even have any inhabitable planets, so that star's out of the question too. Not to mention the intensity of the message would have infinitely degraded over the distance (inverse square of the distance).
And actually physically traveling to another star..? Well, taking Proxima Centauri as an example, it would take about 18000 years to reach it, assuming you can carry enough fuel for those 18000 years and enough food and air for your crew! You'd literally need an entire planet and solar system to reach it alive.
And as for projecting to Area 51 and taking a peek... It wouldn't be so easy. Every 'seasoned' astral projector you could find would have formed their own opinions on it before they went and that would affect what they saw. Also, if they really are that advanced there at area51 surely they'd have some way of keeping ap'ers out?

...hmmm....dingo...ok if we are looking at this space travel issue from our knowledge of physics and the universe,i can agree that traveling to the nearest star itself will be a predicament!!....but what if their are species in this universe who have comprehended the structure of our universe and its physics to a detail far greater than us!!...so the  physics we are trying to understand...such as using gravity to distort space and time...quantum foam ...superstring....would be known to them!
So they could use that knowledge to engineer themselves a ship which  could reach us in an instant ( sounds a bit too far fetched.....but anything is possible...right??)
And about Area 51 having their own psychic defense...i agree with you...! anyway thnx!!  and btw what does that 28 days left (in tht space below ur message) imply??

I agree with you that we don't actually understand how the Universe works, we just analyse bits of it and draw conclusions about what it might do next. It's quite possible that there are some things left to be found out that would allow instantaneous travel... But the amounts of energy involved are probably equivalent to that of converting the entire mass of the sun into pure energy (it can't be much less or you'd probably break the law that says energy cannot be created or destroyed). There's virtually no practical physical way of doing that. But again, we don't know everything...
Have you heard of the 'fake servers' that the CIA and NASA put up to stop hackers reaching the real ones? Basically they're fully functional servers, sitting in front of the real ones, pretending to be the real ones but are filled with bogus data and information. They even use the information collected by these to work out which hackers should be locked up and which should be employed. The conspiracy theories about area 51, could have been invented by the US government so that pretty much everyone would have a strong opinion on what would be there... That way any astral projector's experience of the area would be influenced by the beliefs they have about it (and would be filled with 'bogus' information and objects). That is, in a way, a form of psychic defense, much like the 'fake servers' they have for hackers, because the astral projectors would be going to 'fake area 51's' which are hiding the real area 51 (which might just be used for high-tech airplane construction, for example).
Have you had a look at area 51 on google earth? It's filled with weird patterns in the sand, like huge triangles with concentric circles inside them. They obviously weren't going to allow satellite photos of area 51 become publicly available, so my suspicion is that they removed the real photos of the area and replaced them with these conspiracy-theory-inspiring images.. Which would seem to back up my theory of the origin of the theories of area 51 .... Phew!

I think area 51 now could be only "for tourists", its no secret base if its famous in whole wrold..you might think what have happened in there before...
...i dont understand, its obious, if i had a secret base no one would even knew about it, and if it was discovoered i just kept it "secret" to get attention away from my real base..why so many people think that there is still something...?

Makes sense to me.  Most likely any top secret research would be done at a less 'popular' location.  All those guards and warnings could merely be there to convince people that something is there.

I'm not saying there never was anything there, only agreeing that there's probably not much there anymore.

There was a show on Sci-Fi (?) About some supposed secret place on the Atlantic Ocean (Bermuda Triangle area)  where there was some military activity happening- I wish I had paid more attention to it...

Vivek, yeah, subterranean seems the way to go, an above ground facility would be too hard to keep secret. As for weather Area 51 is the place where the real research happens. Who knows, guess one of you folks who can actually have OBE's should go check it out.
