Know exactly what you mean! Unfortunately a great part of the New Age movement is one big fat Ego factory!

But sure that you can rise above all the do da []... Perhaps the people you were dealing with did not deserve your effort... no doubt there will (be many), who do and will truly value your efforts... Every little bit is noted and counts for the good of all - as you know!

I honestly can say I'm not too sure about the whole title "new age"

What I saw from your wonderful post, was people whom think in a materialistic way.  They were out for money and a spotlight, right?  I just look at that as a greedy person.

I guess what I'm saying is what is the difference from a 'new ager' and what I think I am?  oh..wait..that just opened a whole new dicussion, didn't it?..[]

That is why I love my being Greek and Greek Orthodox, we know how to deal with our 'Church'.  We love our ceremonies and our priests, they are part of our identity but at the same time we love to hate them.  Many Greeks still remember betrayals by the priests during war times, etc.  They also are aware of the fact that priests like position, power and money.  Bitching about our local priest is a preoccupation but at the same time, if anyone outside the Church said a bad word about it, look out, we would die defending it and we have in history.  Sort of a strange arrangement.  

My suggestion to you is do not go about putting up posters.  Think long term, maybe ten years, and depend on word of mouth.  If people think that your gifts are real and of value then word will spread.  In God's time not yours.  As frustrating as it may be. []

They're all over... It happened to me when an "enlightened organization" tried to take my web domain name out from under me.

That said, I am a bit of a paranoid person and I feel I did draw this to me through my paranoia.  I always thought someone would try to steal my workshop before I got it copyrighted (got that taken care of.)  So, this experience I did draw to myself, just verifying to me that my thoughts do create my experience... this is what the New Age preaches as well.  Additionally, the longer I'm here, the more I notice that my experiences are first thoughts in my mind before they become actual experiences (even things that we've talked about before... I thought of the experiences first... didn't realize how scary they would be once I experienced them but never the less, I drew them to me through my thoughts)

Not to diminish your experience... I wonder what your attitudes were regarding this before you had the experience.  Did you doubt that they would hold up their end of the bargain?  Have you been suspicious about the establishment?   If so, these are the exact thoughts that are causing you to experience these things.  There are some wonderful subliminal cd's out there, here'a a link to a couple of sites http://www.brainsync.com/ and http://www.innertalk.com/Welcome.html (this one even has samples you can listen to while browsing) listening to these types of CD's will help you to change your programming... they're good for everything from Creating Abundance to weight loss. The help you reprogram your subconscious mind to draw more of the experiences that you wish to experience rather than the ones you don't wish to experience.  

The Universe is unbiased and nonjudgmental.  If you focus on what you do not want to happen, that is the experience you will draw to yourself.  If you focus on what you do want, that will be your experience.  This is what I have observed and it is what I teach.  

Just think about it and you will answer these questions for yourself.  There is certainly no need to respond to this here.

Hello Tayesin !

Perhaps you might be interested in learning some more about how the darkside operates.
I have just finished reading "Mind Manipulation - Ancient and Modern Ninja Techniques" by Dr. Haha Lung and Christopher Prowant.

For me, it really gives some insight into how devious and deceitful the darkside is, and how they can lie with a straight face, pretend to be your friend, helper, etc., - all in order to get to know your strong sides and weaknesses, and then wreak havoc upon your mind without you even knowing it.
If you learn the techniques used by them, you can defend yourself by being aware. They rely on people not knowing how they operate.

Before I read this book, I thought I was reasonably aware of how they operated. Now I know how wrong I was. Some of them will really do ANYTHING to gain the upper hand, not limited by conscience. The most devious, are so devious that they are very hard to recognize, as they are very good at appearing to be just the opposite. (example: charming serial killers, such as Ted Bundy.)

I think the key to understanding this whole thing is in the very first sentence of this thread in the phrase "New Age industry".

Yes, industry.  In other words, it is a business, with the focus on spirituality by necessity secondary to it's survival as a business entity.  Does this sound familiar?  It should, this is exactly the point that turned Christianity from a spirit serving organization into a self-serving organization.  Read the history folks - the slaughter of the Templars, the Inquisition, etc. etc., - everything came out of the churches change from a group of local spirit-serving groups to a unification and need to guarentee it's own power, wealth and influence.

The real definition of religion is the commodisation (business) of spirituality.

Yes, to simply be aware what the wording implies should circumvent any more surprise or disillusionment - and you don't even need to suspect everyone of being a serial killer.  []

Recently I read a statement saying, "It is not really the new age movement, but more likely the old age movement."  I have thought it went the way of most human endeavours anyway, which according to the statement is the Old Age. []

I agree about the process of getting this work accepted, that it can be a long one.  A little while ago at the Akasha I was shown how to get the work started, which went against what I wanted to do.  So I did what I wanted to do, LOL.

The concept of creating it with our inner issue based fears is very real.  And I then think that it is so only up to a specific point, the point where the concept breaks down, which is within the awareness level of our higher-self.  Like all human based concepts do.  

One problem with the concept of thoughts being the only thing creating the experience, is it makes no allowance for other individuals choices in the moments.  I can't always be a reflection of what others think or feel and therefore create.  

Neither does it make allowances for the plethora of choices we wanted to have here as we walk this life.  Our paths can be changed all over the place, within the framework of all those multi-millions of choices, yet I am not responsible for what creations are another persons, even if I have had contact/interaction with them.  This is the point of that concept's demise as a reality, from the perspective of higher self, not human self.

This is only my perception, it may be uniquely mine or it may be insanity.  []

Darksiders are using lots of people, and the thing about it is they aren't usually aware of it, as you said.  Fortunately for me, I could feel and sense things from an early age, and I discovered something a little weird, I have something like an automatic defensive shield.  It's weird.  Most times when something is about to happen I feel the rush of energy radiating out from me, after that it's easy.  I told you it was weird.

Since I could feel and sense early, I was tested, tried, and scared by darksiders (I like that word).  I included some of the more interesting experiences with groups of people,in my book that's almost finished. After re-reading them they sure sound like big adventures now, LOL. []

I've gotten most of the book edited now, with another chapter left to write, a couple of extra sections that write themselves easily and then I am looking for a publisher.  Until one picks it up I will desktop publish it at home.

I've been going to call it 'Tales of a Lone Warrior', ever since I was 15 (1975).  Then I had a vision a couple of years ago while talking to a friend, it showed me the book on the bookstore shelf with a different title and cover.  So I changed it, LOL.

There are genuine people around who want to help you with your ailments, however, the crooked people have realised just how easy it is to make money out of alternative medicine, and before you can say boo to a goose, you are being sold all sorts of bottles and pills at ridiculous prices, without anyone really finding out what the problem is!

Grrrrr.  I think all the genuine people should fly to the moon and live there in peace and harmony. [^]

Hi All,
For a few years I have been trying to get my work to really take off in my area, but am always being opposed by the established new agers, the spiritual churches here etc.

Recently I was approached by the established service providers here to assist with arrangements for a presentation they wanted to have, and was asked to bring along members from the UFO and Paranormal research group I am president of, and to also be the person who opens up and locks up after their presentation.  

For my assistance I was to be rewarded with my Meet your Guides Workshop being advertised through their Spiritual Church and service providers, etc.  Guess what happened ?  Yep, I did my part for them and they did not keep their bargain !  

In fact, one lady at their presentation was in need of real help right then and there to move through her fear of what was being presented on the night.  Not one of the supposedly 'Highly Spiritual' service providers offered to help the woman, except they did make sure I could not help her by interferring when I was talking to her and trying to make some arrangements to help her.  In fact, three of them circled us and began to interrupt by verbally advertising their own church and insuring their phone numbers were also on the piece of paper I had given the woman with my number on it.  I was offering to help her for free.. no charge.  They did not!  Then they made sure they walked her to her car !!!

As soon as the established group got what they wanted from me they then ignored my attempts to contact them about their offer of assistance with getting my Workshop happening.  I even noticed that the advertising flyers I had placed around the town were all taken down within a day of being put up !!  So I had to replenish them every day, only to find that the new ones were also removed immediately, while the churches and other providers advertising stayed pinned to the noticeboards !  What does that say ?  LOL

While this sounds like I am just having a whinge, which I am by the way, LOL.... it also indicates something of importance.  I have often told the mediums and psychics here that my work is about empowering people to get their own answers by meeting and working with their Guides.  And that this would help them to not waste megabucks with Psychics and Mediums to get what they were seeking.  Opps, big mistake there, LOL.  

I know that most businesses jealously guard their portion of the market and do not want competition taking away their livelyhood (Income).  But I was truly dissappointed with the new agers who are so obviously doing the same thing... so spirituality for them is more about making a great living off their clients than actually having their clients able to get what they really need for themselves.

And that dear readers is the real motivation behind all the hyper-spiritual offerings in the new age press,etc.  If helping people on their quest for knowledge of them-Self was the basis for their work I would not have a problem with it, but, from what I have seen in the past eight years, I would have to say that it is most definately not about that at all, but it is about making megabucks to buy new stuff for themselves and live as comfortably as possible.

Lastly, has anyone else noticed how much of the new age, spiritual church, medium, psychic and channelers stuff is actually a front for the darker forces around us ?  I can see and feel it, but it seems so few people really can.  

So, that is my whinge about the new age industry as it is today, a sad and pathetic shadow of what it may have been.
