for any of you who have enough experience to know... what's the history and current state of the astral? is there much of a history? or does it even have a state? by state i mean something like for example the state that our world is in and the challenges and problems it's facing. anyways, i've just been wondering about this ever since i've taken up astral projection..

I would think some place so subjective and dynamic wouldn't have concepts like history.
if there's time and things happen there must be a history. every place has some sort of a history, because every thing's interconnected and environments interact with other ones. plus the astral had to be around way longer than the physical universe so i cant see how it couldn't have some sort of a long history with it...
I'm interested in whats happened there over the last billions of years. maybe if someone knew it would reveal answers to hundreds of questions such as why are we here, how we came into creation, and maybe it could even tell us whats going to happen in the future.
The Astal isn't a world or another dimention because it contains other dimentions in itself. The Astral is a plane or I may also say: Anoher layer on the physical plane.
When we AP out of body to our houses or other places in our house even outside I call it "Half Astral mode" because you are not really in the Astral realm but you are between it and the physical plane.
The Astral is just a mode in life. There is the life mode that is the physical plane when you may much concentrate on material matters. As opposed to the Astral plane/mode when the concentration goes out of body to the spiritual plane, the Astral is much designed for spirits and negs than for living people, that's why it's kept in secret. bout the history? I am sure that the Astral and physical were created in the same time or at least until the first living creature died.

Unicorns definitely have a history in literature, mythology, culture, art, and imagination. They even have their own evolutionary history, branching off into different species and environments. This is because ideas evolve. Unicorns exist. They just exist in the realm of imagination, sometimes called the astral.
If you want to know the history of imagination and its current state, you have a lot of reading and introspection to do. Why not start with dream journaling and books on anthropology, mimetics, or social darwinism?
