Recently, I've arrived at a point in my journey where it feels as though I've taken a step back and I'm not having experiences as I used to.
I can attempt to attribute this to either of these things: Taking a few days off from doing any meditation or energy exercise; or I've become to accustomed and dare I say bored with where I'm at. (Pre AP/OOBE phases)
Does anyone else here experience times where you feel like you're in a low point or "rusty" with your practices?
Bordmb,
1) What type of projection are you trying for? example A.P., E.P., L.D.
2) What is your current technique you are using?
3) Do you have a lot of random thoughts?
4) What is your goal with projections?
5) Have you had a projection before?
1) What type of projection are you trying for? AP mainly or OOBE but not through a LD
2) What is your current technique you are using? I've used the Gateway series by the Monroe Institute with limited success. I have also used binaural beats and countless hours of meditation.
3) Do you have a lot of random thoughts? Not really. I did at first, but I've become quite adept at quieting my mind. (Largely thanks to my experience with the Gateway series.)
4) What is your goal with projections? My current goal is to project my consciousness outside of my body, and my long-term goal is to gain experience and perhaps achieve an inner-peace.
5) Have you had a projection before? Not consciously; I'm one of those strange ones that got into this through study and research before having any experience.
Check out the following pdf compilation of 66 astral projection techniques. You may find a few that you are successful with. Keep your will and desire strong. Good luck and keep us posted on your progress.

Thanks Todd, I'll check it out. :)
I've followed a few different techniques I've learned from Robert Monroe, Frank Kepple, and Xanth. Maybe I can have success with more variety.
EDIT: Excellent resource!!! It's written for the average, everyday reader. Again, thanks so much Todd!
You are welcome.
Wow Todd, there is a resource we should definitely "sticky" here. Thank you! :-)
Is there any copywrite against that?

Lionheart,
I'll email the author. He sometimes takes up to a month to respond to me. I'll let you know if he gives us permission to sticky his pdf.
Thank you Todd! :-)
The copyright in the PDF itself says "Permission for non- commercial use is hereby granted, provided that this file is distributed in tact."
If you post a link and sticky it, you won't be violating copyright.

First, realize that the only difference between those "types" is your perspective.
They're just labels... drop the labels. They're all just "non-physical experiences".
Quote2) What is your current technique you are using? I've used the Gateway series by the Monroe Institute with limited success. I have also used binaural beats and countless hours of meditation.
Good start. :)
Quote3) Do you have a lot of random thoughts? Not really. I did at first, but I've become quite adept at quieting my mind. (Largely thanks to my experience with the Gateway series.)
Meditation. Focusing (quieting) your mind is only the first half... the second half is being able to hold that focus for extended periods of time.
Also, try meditating without the gateway series tracks. Take off the training wheels... I think you're ready. :)
Quote4) What is your goal with projections? My current goal is to project my consciousness outside of my body, and my long-term goal is to gain experience and perhaps achieve an inner-peace.
Good goals. Always good to have goals. It keeps you prepared for when you do project.
Quote5) Have you had a projection before? Not consciously; I'm one of those strange ones that got into this through study and research before having any experience.
You've probably projected more than you even realize.
Have you ever had a lucid dream? If you have, you've projected.
Have you ever had what most people call a normal dream? That's a projection where you don't realize you're projecting.

66 Astral Projection Techniques... interesting. I've read several of them.
It's a great write-up and all, but I think it's more important for people to understand *WHY* each of those techniques work.
I'd encourage people to take a bunch of techniques they read about (here or wherever) and try to break them down into their base parts.
Here's a hint... they're all asking you to do the *EXACT SAME THING* just in slightly different ways. Ok that wasn't so much of a hint as telling you. LoL
Just about every technique incorporates Visualization or Mental Concentration/Focus in some way as a method of fixating your awareness away from the Physical. That's it... that's the entire secret. That's what took me over 10 years to figure. I use this concept to create my own visualizations.

May I ask how long you're trying a technique before deeming it 'not working'?
I have meditated and attempted to project in the following ways:
1) With the Gateway series
2) With binaural beats
3) With no accompaniment other than the smell of an incense and my inner thoughts. [This is actually my most common and I meditate often throughout the day]
I get what you're saying about "non-physical experiences." I usually use the term "wider reality" or "expanded awareness."
I know I've projected a lot, that's why I specified not consciously. I think I keep being overly specific. o.O
I never deem any technique as "not working." Every technique that I have tried has given me a unique experience, but I haven't found a technique that suits my style enough to truly achieve a jump into the wider reality.
Maybe you should look up the pdf called "the flower of life volume 2"
It has a meditation technique in there called the MerKaBa meditation and it has really helped me in my day to day life. All around.
It also talks about how to set up surrogate merkaba's. These are merkabas (powered by your thought and belief, along with your energy) that you can place anywhere for any kind of reason, that's the cool part, you get to choose what this surrogate merkaba will be used for. i.e. increase energy to people who are within this field.
I have set up one within my room to help increase the number of non physical experiences to any person within this field, and this field just covers the area of my room. I have found that this really does help as every night I always have some kind of experience that I learn from
It might be useful to read the whole pdf just to get familiar with what the MerKaBa is.

Thank you Made O pHI!
I'm done taking notes from the 66 techniques, so I'll check it out now until I go to bed. :)
