hearing voices while you are meditating can be very shocking at first, enough to take you right out of your meditation.  if these voices are friendly it will only take some time to get comfortable w/ what happened before you can reach that same stage again.  not being used to this happening is what's taking you out of your meditation and not the actual voice you are hearing.  as soon as you get comfortable w/ it you will look forward to hearing them or him.  the longer you ponder over what happened the more you will be expecting it and the more ready you will be.

unfriendly voices take a little more time to get comfortable w/.  even thought they can be very scary, eventually you will find that they can't harm you and you can start to ignore them.  eventually they will go away.

As I go to sleep I go into a sort of trance state, especially if I start to fight to stay awake. Sometimes this leads to temporary meditation, and a lot of the time I hear voices that startle me out of the state. For example, just last night I heard some kind of menacing, croaking (weak) voice mocking and laughing at me. I immediatly woke up, turned on all the lights in my room and shouted in my mind "F*CK OFF!!!!!" Worked a bit... I could still sense the b**ch hanging around floating outside my room O.o
Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.

No amount of rigorous training, sitting and doing nothing, and clearing one's mind can help a man who hasn't overcome his doubts.

How often/long do you all meditate, and what do you do? I get all floaty; I've just started doing it regularly again. 15-20 min, twice a day. Usually counting breaths up to 10 and starting over. I'll eventually use a mantra.

Meditation is a very personal thing.  Follow your heart and head placing equal importance on both to find what is best for you.

Hi timeless,

Thanks very much! Many things I never thought of.

Greetings Timeless,

Welcome to the forums and thank you very much indeed for your valuable contributions! [:)]

In answer to your first question, the "heaviness" is characteristic of a deep trance state, and which is your gateway to the Astral realms. The voices you hear and other such inputs originate from the Astral itself. Your trance state could very easily be the starting point for a type of Astral projection known as "phasing".

I would very much like to suggest a very powerful meditation that will help all of humanity as wel as those that practice it. It is called the "Twin Hearts" meditation, and the details can be found here:

http://www.lifepositive.com/Body/energy-healing/pranic-healing/twin-heart-meditation.asp

This site contains very detailed information, and the is very much in line with the Universe. With the situation in the Middle East (and elswhere) I would humbly recommend that everyone learns and performs this meditation.

Please remember that the Chakra that is the key to unlocking all of the others is the Heart Chakra. Concentrate on the Heart Chakra and the Crown in accordance with Twin Hearts, and everything else will follow.

As an aside, the upper triangle of Chakra's is much more important than the lower Chakra's, and are the ones to work with.

With best regards,

Adrian.

Adrian,
This is great! I bookmarked the heart chakra page.
I remember when going to Hawaii the first time, my heart was all over the universe being jubilant and stuff. I found that this happens again in other countries I have visited, particularly in the British and Emerald Isles, even Italy, etc.. Then I realized something, possibly a correlation between volcanoes or steep cliffs with my emotion. Volcanoes are like valves and pumps, if you pardon my extreme correspondent notions. Then I look at the clouds sailing, the ocean peaking and crashing, LIFE, etc.
Then I realized that all of this is the accumulated benefit of increments of meditation over the years, things come together with a greater passion and "feel".

I would EXPECT that in attaining cosmic consciousness, one is INVARIABLY going to TOUCH the music of the spheres, and I am talking about all the vibration, the violent yet orderly physical phenomenae, the movement of the heavens, the migration of awarenesses, the touching of souls, etc.

How awesome a simple thing can be! Sitting still and experiencing ALL THAT IS and BEYOND which is ................? is it "I", "me", "God", "BEAUTIFUL VOID", "OUR TRUE FORMLESS ESSENCE ALL AWARE"?

This has great relevancy in OBE! Huh?

The lower three seem to be more important to stimulate than the upper four from what I have read. All of them are important and good to work with, but excess concentration on the heart chakra and higher ones leads what what is called "wind disorders" in Tibetan medicine. The navel / third chakra stimulates the upper chakras when it is activated, but by holding attention on it instead it is easier to avoid unpleasant side effects.

What you have read....
There is a difference here in experiencing such chakra concentrations, naturally and willfully. I would like to regard all these 7 chakras as part of an instrument. All the information everyone is giving is going to be useful as we become more aware and then expert. So, we'll become masters at the chakras and play away! We are meant to experience the highs and the lows. What is wrong with being swept away? Certainly safer than substance abuse. Would alot of love hurt? Tweak it abit making it less conditional and more universal, that could launch a major OBE. Then look at your navel and you are BACK!!!! Is that what I think the Tibetians are saying?

"Wind disorders" has nothing to do with being swept away by something. It is an energy imbalance. Concentration to excess on the heart, throat, brow, and crown chakras is a bit like storing energy in the sub-heart and sub-brow storage centers instead of the sub-navel storage center. Robert Bruce does not suggest storing energy in them directly, but instead he says to put the energy into the sub-navel storage center. The sub-heart and sub-brow storage areas are filled as quickly as is safe on their own from the sub-navel storage center.

All Chakras are important - of course - but the lower Chakras are those connected with the Earth regions, and the upper Chakras are the ones connected to the higher spheres of consciousness - Astral, Mental, Akasha. Developing the upper Chakras, notably the Heart, Brow and Crown, will take you in the right direction, and the lower ones will surely follow. You will find that working on the Heart Chakra will feed power to the upper Chakra's which is the objective.

This is not the case with necessarily the case with connections to the inner/higher spheres from a non-energetic perspective through the Chakra's. The Solar Plexus Chakra is connected directly to the Akasha Principle (the Ether, "God", Divine Providence, etc.) and is receptive to intuition and impressions. I am sure many people have felt strange sensations or "sinking" feelings in the "stomach" from time to time - well those feelings are originating from the higher/inner spheres responding to your thoughts and energies.

With best regards,

Adrian.

Dear Adrian,

Okay now I am freaked. I swear I never read this website before and yet it is exactly what I have been doing. Hmmm! So how is that.  How did I know to do this?

I "knew" as soon as I read your post what meditation you were doing, I just wanted to confirm it - thanks [:)]

But Two Hearts is a very powerful and extremely good meditation that helps everyone - the planet, mankind and the meditator, and cannot be recommended highly enough.

We are all guided in the right direction every day by the higher spheres - our Guides, HGA, and numerous other beings and intelligences who are interested in our ascent and Spiritual progression. It is because of the questions in your own mind that you now find yourself here receiving the answers [:)] I am sure, and indeed hope that you will gain much more value from these forums in the future. You are very welcome!

Thanks again for your contribution!

With best regards,

Adrian.
