Hi Tisha
I`ve been using the gateway tapes for about a month and a half and I`ve had trouble with the imagery too. Getting the energy to flow out of my head was hard for me. I just kept practicing and one day it happened.I`m experimenting with different sequences and directions of energy movement and the more I do the easier it gets. I look at it like tuning an engine:you fiddle around with it until it starts running smooooth!
Sounds like your house is coming along. I`m a carpenter so I`ve been reading your building posts with interest.I know how disruptive  remodels can be. Don`t take any crap from those contractors.Let em know whose boss!
      Happy trails

Thanks, coral1!   I'm learning a lot from this home-building project, a practical and psychic levels.  For instance:

1) Take on ONE project/issue at a time and FOLLOW  IT THROUGH to its conclusion.  There are few things more disconcerting than having 5,6,7 or more unresolved issues to trip over every day.

2) Bulk Trash Week is great.  Kind of like putting things in the Black Box, but you never get them back.  Cool.  I'm thinking about creating representations of things I want to get rid of (bad spending habits, toxic relationships) and leaving them out for Bulk Trash Week.

3) Physical surroundings DO MATTER.  Color, design, art . . . these are not fluffy things, and they are not to be considered as afterthoughts.  They are as critical to our well-being as food, water, and friendship.

Anything more, and surely I will be rambling.  It is late!  I'll be back, and thanks again.

Well I haven't been doing that much.  I have mostly been spending my energy and spare time with my hypnotherapist or doing things to enhance the sessions.  The last week or so I have been spending time trying to get rebalanced.  I was trying some telekinesis excersizes which kinda got my brain going too much.  So now I have been imagining a large screen or filter going from head to toe and up to try and smooth things out a little so I am more balanced.  It seems to be working.

Other than that it's work, home, sleep, work, home, sleep.

Hi Tisha,

You know, reading the first part of your intro to this topic has made me feel a lot better. Distracted?? I can relate!

We've just recently bought a new house, and with all the fun stuff that goes along with that, not to mention all the pre-christmas sillyness, I haven't been phasing, energy raising, meditating, or even keeping in regular contact with my wonderful goddess guide. I feel so slack, like I'm giving up on it all.

This is the first house I've ever owned, so it's a fairly significant lifestyle change for me. I'm trying to be a little more introspective in my slackness, and working on my own foundations a bit. I'm trying to spend a little more time finding out exactly who I am, 'cause at the moment I'm really not too sure.

James.

Hi there!  I was going to add to the very LONGGGG Gateway topic but then reallized that my questions/comments had more to do with personal techniques than with Gateway per se, even though I am using the Gate 1 CD.  So here I go:

How is everyone doing with their practice these days?  What's up?  Are you doing your work?  Have you gotten distracted?

As for me, I'm so busy working on my "house" that it almost seems I'm not allowed to have an OBE until I am done playing catch-up.  So, rather than see my relative lack of participation on this Forum or my total lack of OBEs during the past two or three months as a setback, I'm thinking on all this positively, using the as-above-so-below mantra, knowing that the work I am doing now is a building block for future OBE experiences.

For instance, I have transformed my bedroom to something that looks a lot like one of my Astral Places (except in my Astral Place my bedroom has a fireplace, oh well, can't fix that!).  I don't fully understand the significance of this, whether it will help or hinder my progress.  Does anyone out there have experience with recreating Astral Spaces on the physical?  Why do we do this?

Also, I using the Wave 1 CD and finding some of the imagery difficult.  For instance, I am not easily able to create my personal energy bubble from my head.  However, I can have it all come from my solar plexus and BAM!!!!   I have a bubble/shield in a manner of seconds.  Do you think it's important to move all the energy to your head before creating the bubble, due to the fact that the pineal gland (door to the astral) is in your head?

Also, I have noticed that as I've been working here-on-earth on spiritual/relationship matters, I'm finding myself with a LOT LESS to put into my "black box."  Last night, while listening to the CD, I ended up just imagining my holding a small world in my hands, and dropping it into the box and closing the lid.  I'm mentioning this to everyone as a reminder that your OBE Work doesn't ONLY go on while you are doing your "meditations," your Work goes on all the time!  What is everyone doing in their day-to-day to minimize mental distractions?

Well that's about it for me!  I actually have time to type now, as I took quite a spill on the ice/snow yesterday and am now stuck at home on sick leave.  There is plenty for my to do that actually doesn't require me to MOVE:  holiday cards, wrapping presents, sewing my drapes, watching the sheet rock guy do my ceilings, etc. . . . but I thought I'd check in with all of you first.  Have a happy day!
