Title: Problem relaxing when attempting to fall back asleep to AP
Post by: Lucidmage on September 20, 2012, 13:34:44
I have a really big obstacle in my way when trying to AP which happens every freaking time. Whenever I wake up after about 4 hours of sleep and attempt to AP or Lucid Dream (LD) I can never relax. Like I open my eyes and have to move, its an automatic thing to get comfy. But its like I cannot relax my entire body. I end up just falling asleep eventually and forgetting to AP. This problem prevents me from AP for 2 years whenever I try. I really implore you guys, please help me. I want to AP badly but I want a nice quick way to relax my body after waking up.

Thank you all for reading this  :-)

You may not believe me but I would advise you to stop trying to relax.  That is your problem.  You are already relaxed.  You have been asleep for four hours.  You have to change your thinking about trying to relax otherwise it will prevent you to ap.  Get into a position and stay with it.  Accept the way your body feels and keep saying to yourself for a while that I am relaxed and I am not moving.  It may not work overnight but it time it will work.  You just have to relax your mind not your body.

LucidImage....I just bought a Laxman light and sound machine per Lionhearts passion about the product. I can tell you after using it for only two days if you are having problems relaxing...buy the Laxman. It is quite expensive at around $650...but if there is any way you can swing it and you are willing to make that investment into your AP....well, aside from learning to meditate like a Buddhist Monk I think you will find it hard to get into a more relaxed state than what this little gem will do for you. And the key thing I am noticing is that it really puts the body sound to sleep while keeping the mind wide awake...ideal for projection. Now, before anyone else jumps on me about not needing one of these to relax...of course, I agree. You do not need a Laxman to relax...but if you are having problems with that aspect it sure will make a huge difference....and to second what some of the others were saying in the post...in general, the more you force it the less it happens...so the key is to not try to relax too hard... you cant want it too badly....just have to let it flow of its own accord. Cheers, LoG
