I discovered this by accident.
I had taken sleeping pills for the night, and decided a yummy cup of chocolate mocha looked good.
Somehow this set off the mind awake/body asleep condition needed for an OBE.
Nothing profound happened; Except that for the first time ever I remembered making my exit, as well as my re-entry, and I felt in control of the whole thing.
All of my OBE's until now (except for one) have been "beyond my control." This one was very deliberate.
This is the last time I make a post that explains everything in the title. Nobody reads it. From now on my titles will be more mysterious and cryptic.
 :P
lmao that sounds like a awsome discovery

Leylaness, maybe so, dude.
What I've come to learn is that an early night's sleep is not condusive to achieving the requisite state of mind/relaxation.
I get my best OBE results when I'm over-tired and go to sleep too late. Or when I suffer from insomnia until sunrise or so--that's when all sorts of good hypnagogig stuff starts to happen.
Cheers, Big Ears.
Yeah, many times when I went to bed early in the morning my body would fall asleep faster than my mind. I would lay there for a few minutes thinking i'm still awake and when I try to get up or move my head I realize I can't move, I don't like getting sleep paralysis at night time.

Who said I went to bed early?
For your information, I'm a sleeping pill addicted insomniac. I am often physically exausted yet cannot sleep. That's when the pills come in.
Zing.

Yeah absolutely great  Addictiv drugs may trigger OBE, what a great discovery.........let all the desperate that never have a OBE swallow a sleeping pill from time to time
BTW I need a sleeping pill from time to time as well (unfortunately) and never had observed any relation between sleeping pills and OBE.

LMAO! Oh my... I take melatonin, Valerian and chamomile. They hardly qualify as addictive substances.
(Imagines the cops kicking open my door and seizing my herbal supplements)

lol, I wanted to ask what kind of pills you mean but, there we go....
You said: "For your information, I'm a sleeping pill addicted insomniac. I am often physically exausted yet cannot sleep. That's when the pills come in." So I figured you mean pills that are addicting. But is is seems I was mistaken. So have you tried it again? whats the success rate?
BTW: Herbs + Caffée Mocha = OBE
would sound nicer wouldn't it?
Hmm. I may try it again tonight.
I guess could have said herbs, but these herbs are specifically sedatives for sleeping.
weed + coffee = obe?
I can confirm that melatonin leads to projections/lucid
dreaming. The projections are often to lower astral,
which used to scare me a lot. Now, I don't mind...

LMAO! See what I mean? FuM had another herb entirely in mind.
