Hey guys what's up?
Okay here's my drama.. :P
I've known about OBE's for a little bit (3 months atleast) and I was always very passionate and interested about it, so much that I learned what can be considered a lot of stuff in not that long. I tried to induce them 2 times in the beginning and the second time I felt like I was really getting it but I was not phasing, I was using a similar to the rope technique that I felt was more appropriate for me (ladder technique), and at some point as I imagine my head going up in the ladder and kinda popping it out of a bubble I heard this drill into the wall, I got super excited my hearth/H.chackra was racing but I got a little bit freaked out because I was just 'trying'. lool
And then.. I've been around the internet, reading some ebooks from r.bruce, r.monroe and some more. What I found is that this is actually even much better than I actually thought it was! But not everything was good news, I was reading about this self-defense here and there, psychic self defense, astral warrior wtv. :|
So I had a couple of days really worried and a little bit depressed because I really wanted to project but I didn't wanna put up with any crap from the "Hollywood movies" :-D
So I, as many experienced people advised I started to only try to project in the day time and I do this to this very day. But now this concepts are much more developed in my mind and I just don't fear the bogeyman anymore and from this point I don't care much if it's in my room or not I don't care as long as it doesn't cause me harm (which I know it Probably won't) but there's always this feeling "I go out I see some neg in front of me now what?" and it will always create mental pollution for the next obe's and who knows what else..
So what im trying to say is that I really wanna start trying to project at night but I don't know if my experiences won't suck then, I don't wanna get fearful anymore that's stupid so I guess you can say that im in a state of fearing fear itself because I know it sucks.
My question is this, does all this past programming about night projections makes it probable that some thought form or otherwise comes into my room when I get out there?
Im sorry for some bad English here (im not native :|), sorry for this long post and thanks for your time, if you read it all until here you're the best! :-D
Also I don't know if this is the right zone to post this, but I didn't really know where that was so im sorry if it isn't.. any mod feel free to move it.

Not necessarily. What matters is your thoughts and feelings at the time you're projecting. When you're attempting to project, enjoy the process. It should be something that is enjoyable and brings good into your life, not fear.
So what you are saying is you are afraid of the dark & what's in it?
If you have good experiences in the day, they should also be good at night. It shouldn't make a difference. Usually the dark stories you read about happen anytime of the day. If it makes you feel better, leave a light on. You have to be confident and trust in yourself, if something does show up, move past it without letting it effect you.

That's really good news because I thought it was all about the subconscious, and yes I enjoy the process a lot, just trying to project is a joy for me and not just because I know what I am doing, it feels great to meditate, do energy work etc.

It's not that im afraid of the dark, I've read in many places and heard from many people that the RTZ at night time is very dark and gloomy and so it's a lot more susceptible to the fears in your mind. Robert Bruce mentioned it in his book Astral Dynamics for example.
But let's say something appears I walk away, it's my house! Won't they stay around if nothing push's them back?
When I get a little bit experienced in the astral I'll try to make sure nothing mess's with me, but now im trying to make sure I enter the astral with the right foot you know? Don't wanna make any post's on Psychic and Paranormal for the wrong reasons. :-D
Thanks both of you, you helped a lot. It seems like I was holding to wrong ideas. :-)
basically if you think there will be a demon as you project depending on the intensity of the thought one will manifest in front of you and the reverse applies. Once I tried purposely to think of a monster or something scary and I guess deep down I knew I wouldn't be scared so the only thing that manifested in front of me was a creepy laugh that dissapeared within seconds.
Enjoy it and you will have a good experience.

It can be 'muddy' and 'pixellated' and 'grainy' but it will not be as dark as if you were looking with your eyes. Imagine having night-vision goggles or an IR camera. That's kind of how it looks, more or less.
It really doesn't lend itself to fright only by appearance, it's more of a projecting of your fears, and IMO that's all that comes around in the RTZ.

Oh I see.. I had a whole different picture going on my mind, I thought it was like as negs couldn't show up in contact with the sun light.. there would be kind of a party going on around at night which you would need to be extra careful not to get caught in. But it seems that for the most part it's all just garbage.
I think now I can really start to dedicate myself much more to master obe's. :-)

Just because 1 or 2 OBEs might suck or include an encounter with a negative entity does not mean that all OBEs are like that. Actually it is the opposite. Negative experiences OOB are really rare (they do happen from time to time but that Is rare). Also a few bad experiences help make a person appreciate the more common positive OBEs all the more.
So don't allow your fears to get the better of you. :-)

you should try to feel neutral about it all, who's to say what is good and what is evil.
why should you feel safer at day than night?
these thoughts are built up from primal and survival instincts, that beasts could attack you easier when its dark.
The only times I've been "attacked" were in projections that took place in well lit environments and I woke up immediately before anyting nasty could happen. Night time in the RTZ can be creepy, true... just accept it and explore. Most times I'll be projecting and think "Okay I'm about to witness something scary" and it never manifests... thought doesn't always = action. I think if you worry about psychic defense and have an "astral warrior mentality" you're going to experience a lot more violence than someone who has the explorer mentality.

Yes you have a point right there, however it is desirable that at least the first experience goes well and positive. :-)

I do but I'm a careful person, sometimes overcareful so my concern was that if I experienced something like that my 'neutrality' would change drastically..
But you know the opinion and encouragement of experienced people helped me a lot make my mind so I'm going for it at full speed!

By all means now I have an explorer mentality however I do not discard the hypothesis of working as an astral warrior when I get a lot more experience. That is if I find that it makes sense at all based on some kind of guidance and the most important thing my intuition and will at that time. Some people are healers, some others are teachers, some thinkers. I consider myself a fairly good thinker, but there are many thinkers in this world already, if I can do something positive for this world and kick off some darkness that will do. 8-)
