I have no idea what it is, I'm inclined to think it is a chakra. I don't do chakra work so I wouldn't know. It is something I can feel in the back middle of my head and "energize" or increase focus on. When I increase focus on it I get rushes through out my body that are so intense I feel like I'm going to die if I increase them to anymore of an extent. Even now I can feel it and focus more on it.. I'm just not sure its safe or not to push it to its max as when I do it feels like I'm about to force myself out of my body or something due to the amount of seemingly insane pressure it creates. Also in my head it feels like its silently roaring.
You "feel like you're going to die"?
Robert Monroe wondered the same thing when he first started going OBE.
If he stopped because of a fear of dying... we might not have the knowledge we now have.
In my opinion... keep pushing it and see what happens.
I don't believe you're going to die.

push it, p-push it real good

LOL, don't be afraid, go on, dare. :-)
Apart jokes, you are experiencing a little what is called "kundalini" awakement. You can read it in the internet if you are curious about it. You don't need expressedly to do what is called chakra work for it to happens. Everythinng you do (concerning your "etheric body") is chakra work.
kundalini awakening in the back of the head?
hmm....*sarcasm*
your third eye doesn't exist just in your forehead. it's in the center of your forehead and back. if you energize it you can feel it's energy expanding out the front and back of your head. if you put selenite (crystal) on your forehead and a piece on the back of your head you can feel the energy move through the back, out the front and up to the top of your head (crown).

Could be a chakra. Some people see one in the back of the head, in between the parietal and occipital areas. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parieto-occipital_sulcus) Not being that sensitive, I wouldn't know if it's true.
Chakras are often confused with Nadis.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nadi_%28yoga%29
like what RB calls secondary chakras.

Is this constant or does it come and go? Is there pain involved? Is this something you have created through a process like meditation? Can you move this "feeling" to other areas of your body? Have you ever or are you afraid to phase or project from your "body"?
Sounds like you may have an opportunity to experiment.
I don't know if this is the same or not, but I used to get all kinds of uncomfortable pressure and sensations through my body during meditation (and other times), especially in the head. It could even cause headaches.
It wasn't until I started doing energy work (NEW) that I "balanced" it out and things became much smoother without the pressure and headaches. I still get pressure build-up in my head sometimes and full-body circuits help every time.
If that is the case.
i think that aside from RB's specific primary energy center work, the rest of his system works on these Nadis
