Title: Adrian Cooper
Post by: blaktatt on July 13, 2011, 16:16:19
anyone read "Our Ultimate Reality" by Adrian Cooper.  How about the chapter regarding "making our own realities"... anyone have any experience with this?  I'm curious if any one has proven this to be true for themselves.

Hi blaktatt,

Yes, I've read it.  The experience is continuous.  It's not so much as proving it to ourselves as it is coming to the realization that we continuously create our reality.  There is never a moment when we are not forming our own reality.  It is impossible not to.

This is true.  Every time you have a thought you create a reality.
And since the brain works non-stop and doesnt take any breaks you are constantly creating reality

I think I like best how kailaurius says it:

Hi blaktatt,

It's not so much as proving it to ourselves as it is coming to the realization that we continuously create our reality.  There is never a moment when we are not forming our own reality.  It is impossible not to.

My experience is this: Once you have realized this you just kind of "jump into the flow" so to speak and life here just seems so much more simple. Things that used to stress you out don't stress you out as much as they used to if at all. Things like bills and responsibilities seem to be a lot easier to deal with. I'm not saying money magically appears out of thin air, I'm just saying that you find yourself making choices that lead you to handle your business in a stress free manner. Little things like that just keep adding up and sometimes you may find it very difficult not to smile at the simplicity of things. I guess the easiest way to explain my experience with this is to simply state that things just tend to work out. After all, you are the one creating, so why shouldn't they?

on a physical basis, your brain literally is creating your reality.

it's taking electromagnetic stimuli of all kinds and processing them into something that humans consider perceivable.

so your reality is quite dependent on your physical brain and no two brains are alike.

others have addressed the metaphysical aspects, so i won't.
