I have a friend who lives in israel, whilst I live in the united kingdom.

I have asked him to tell me something that I can find out through my OBE.

he said he has 2x piano books on his piano. 1x is white, and the other is coloured.

He wants me to tell him which colour and what design the 2nd piano book has.

Tonight I am going to try to do an OBE and travel to his house and look, then tell him results.

This will prove if OBE is real, or a figment of the imagination.

has anyone else here tried similar experiments, and perhaps succeeded?

Well this experiment will indeed tell something of the authencity OBE if it is successful test. However there still are alternative solutions how you could get the color and design right, for example by telepathy or intuition etc. On the otherhand if you get the color and design wrong even if you manage to get to his house and take a look of his piano books, it still doesn't prove that OBE isn't real because your expectations might change its appearance or you might slip up to a lucid or to a mind constructed house etc.

So to really proof the existence of OBE would be quite tricky. Can there be any assurance that one doesn't use telepathy, intuition or something similar to get the test information? And since there is many things that can go wrong, a failure in a test isn't proof of anything either. I'm not saying that it isn't good and fun to test these things, just stating that it's quite difficult to prove to a third party that OBE is real. Of course a successful test would impress anyway, OBE or not.

I've tried to prove this for myself by asking someone to put a card from a deck of cards somewhere hard to reach, so that even he doesn't look which one it is. Only once I've remembered to try to check this card, and it was a partial success(or failure if you want to look it that way). My brother put one card on top of the fridge from two combined decks of cards. Once I managed to OBE I went to check it, but instead of one card there was a deck of cards and five separate cards (the extra ones I had created I think). I remember thinking that maybe he did a trick for me and left more cards there. So, I memorized the 5 cards there, returned to body and went to check the real card. One of those fice separate cards was the real card, king of clubs.

Not that impressive, but something to improve on. I think the real card may have been mixed with my imaginary cards, or maybe it was just a lucky guess to get the real card also.. although I have no doubts that OBE is real, it would be fun to learn to do the card test consistently.. but I'd need more practise to be able to do so.

well, I couldn't even get the buzzing or vibrations going last night so I'll have to try again tongiht. dissapointed because the day before yesterday I got the buzzing going etc and ready to project really quickly and easily

I've done the card trick too. I used a tarot card. I left it on the table. When I got out the card was there on the table(because I expected it to). I picked it up and to my surprise it wasn't even a tarot card. It had the most beautiful design drawn on it. I was awestruck and stared at it for quite some time.

Doesn't mean that OBE isn't real.

Not too many colors to choose from so this isnt the best experiment. Also, Robert Bruce says that the playing card experience have about 75% success rate, and that its different for everyone. So failing a few experiments doesn't prove it false/true.
First and only (classic) OBE so far: 12th August 2009
LDs: Once per week :)
