Yesterday night around 9 O' clock i went to my bed with the sole intention of projecting. I was giving myself self affirmations from the evening, because self affirmations has worked magically for me in the past.
As I've said i was resuming practice after a long period and i already had asked for assistance in the forums.
Thanks propuzhah for bringing the '66 Astral projection techniques' to my mind again. I started my attempt by maintaining breathing awareness and chanting the 'Gir-ti-tak' mantra in mind. The rhythm that it generates is awesome and it soon gave me peace of mind.
I was drifting to sleep at certain times but i kept the thread of awareness alive even though the body was surrendering and after 30 mins or so, at one point i felt myself lifting-off.
That was surprising, because i was eager what technique to use once i reach the vibes, but here i didn't have to worry at all. It simply lifted off and i don't remember being in the midst of vibrations at all.
Has this occurred to anyone, a lift-off surpassing any sort of vibrations?
Anyway, my journey didn't last long, hardly 40 seconds and i was only surfing the space inside my room. It was completely dark, but objects had enough pale glow around them to make it recognizable.
Remember seeing the TV[earlier used to be in the room], TUBE LIGHT and a CALENDER[not in the room].
This i have to say is probably my first conscious OBE exit, as i didn't fall asleep nor was this any kind of 'opportunistic' exit.
Now I'm back in confidence, and I'll attempt it again tonight o make things a routine.
Recommendations to beginners:
If you've been trying for so long without much success, then giving things a break as in my case can be fruitful.
If you're unsure of whether you've the ability to project, self-affirm yourself every time you think of it. Self-affirmations seems to be an under-estimated exercise, believe me it's equally worth as any other method you carryout for projection.
Breathing awareness applied along with 'Gir-ti-tak' mantra can be effective. Just try it out for yourself, there is something about it. This method can be found here-

F/r. most of us know vibrations are a side effect of projection that usually happen when you start projecting consciously, and after a while you don't perceive them any more.
So I'd say that of the conscious projectors in this or any other site that have been doing it for a year or more your question is moot, and reads like an advertisemsnt.
Just making an observation, nothing more.
I respect your observation, but i guess you made some serious misinterpretations. I've only projected a few times, and never consciously. And all the time I've performed this feat, it had more or less the 'written in the book' symptoms. But this was a new experience for me where i felt like doing it by a conscious and aware breathing practice. And then the projection or to be more specific the 'separation' was in a split of second which usually is not my case. For me it would be a 'build-up' and 'lift-off' but here at least i didn't notice any build-up of vibes. So that's the reason why i posted here.
Then again lemme clarify I'm not on an advertisement purpose, i don't get paid for recommending links. If you have projected 1000 times then don't listen to me, if you're surfing through this site as a beginner trying to gather all sorts of information bits, [coz one day i used to run through all the forums likewise] and struggling to go 0oB then 'what has helped me' can help you too.
All righty then.

Well done on your first conscious and deliberate OBE. Many more should follow.
Regarding your exit without the vibrations ---- Most people actually Don't feel vibrations prior to separation (or at least do not mention them in the OBE reports). Of the several dozen OBEs that I have experienced I have had vibrations during slightly less than half of them.
Your recommendation to beginners about taking a break is outstanding advice (and this could apply to experienced OBE-ers as well). Most people new to the OBE phenomena tend to give up after several weeks or a couple of months if no OBE has been achieved. Yet the mechanism for getting out of body does not work like that. Some people can go OOB right away, others need to work at it for awhile. Most people who fail to go OOB simple give up and quit trying. Whereas if they took a short break in their routine these people would almost certainly have a higher rate of success.

Thanks grey.
I'm not a frequent projector, so i get motivated every time i succeed and i feel the importance of keeping beginners motivated. But further on, i will have to think twice before i recommend anything.
