I've been thinking this for a long time, I figured I'd start by learning to lucid dream first to do this.
Basically I've been thinking, I started training martial arts late, so I need to work 10x as hard as everyone else so I can catch up and surpass them. Problem is, there isn't enough time in the day to do this. I figured, maybe I can replicate what I learned in class, inside a lucid dream, it wont be perfect, but I can practice my technique and sharpen my skills in my dreams, combining dream work with real life work, to give me an edge over everyone else.
I wanted to do this not for martial arts, but for school, job related work, etc. I can practice what I learned, in my dreams, just get some repetitions in, so it stays in my head and I get better.

This was my idea and my main reason for wanting to learn Lucid dreaming/AP/OOBE's.

Is this achievable, has anyone done this? Is there any documented cases of this being done? This seems like it could change humans in such an amazing way if we learned to do this, is this a realistic goal?
I am trying to learn to lucid dream and to do this.

What do you think? Is this achievable?

I have though about this also could I practice and learn skills and such in the non physical and use them here. Like getting better at chess as an example. I know of all the stories about musicians hearing music in their dreams and that is where they got their inspiration but then you still must know something about music, how to write it or play it ect.

What ever you tend to do with full focus or interest at least around 1hr or 45mins before you go to sleep scientists say you tend to have a high chance to dream about and I find it to be true through experience so far. there are also things you do a lot of with intensity through out the week or earlier in the day. I used to play so much chess that I dreamed of chess games and got really good but I thought all that was from practice alone and that was long before I came into knowledge of astral projection and lucid dreaming and such now it makes me think a bit. And what you tend to do in repetition tends to fall into dreams that is why people say to do reality checks 2-3 times a day all at the same time each day.

On a side note there is the 10,000 hour rule or 1000 books it you practice for that long or read that many books on a subject you should be a master at it. And I say this about visualization.
The mind supposedly does not know the difference between reality and a whats not... so if you practice the movement in you mind its the same as doing them physically. A story I heard about this is that they took 3 groups of people the first group was told to do nothing, the second to practice basketball making perfect free throws about 3hours a day (or week) or so many throws a practice so many times a week. And the third to not practice physically but to practice in their mind making perfect free throws via visualization. Obviously the group that did not practice made no improvements after a month. The group that practiced physically made improvement and the group that visualized preformed just as well as the group that practiced physically. It brought to question what if the visualized and physically practiced how good could they have been but that was never tested after words in that case.

Another story, an Olympic boat racing team every practice would sits and watch a video of the winners of the games before and were told by their coach to visualize being in the boat going through all the motions, beating them and coming in first and then practicing physically, and supposedly the set a few records and won.

Outside of those I would advise managing your time its easy to come by useful time when you cut out the things that are not needed. In California because the traffic is so bad people listen to tapes in their car of things they want to learn that can be learned from a tap. One of the writers of the night of the museum movies learned 3 languages by doing that. I carry around a pocket planner by doing so I found a lot of time to do things that I want.
Good and evil are not conditions imposed by some benevolent deity, but states the soul must experience in order to surpass them and awaken.

Yes this is very achievable, how do you think most people got their stardom, some of the most talented people got some of their material from their dreams, musicians, writers etc. Their are stories here and there of people getting their inspiration, and skills achieved through dreaming. Its sort of something I'm trying to do, but through astral projection, but getting out hasn't been easy for me lately. I wish  I had the links to post, but you can research it.
