This might be a strange question, but ever since I started attempting to induce AP's, I have been having a repetitive dream where I am a passenger in an airplane that is flying too close to the ground, and near telephone wires. I also have been waking and opening my eyes to weird images, that I believe are called hypnopompic?... Where one time, I saw a parchement scroll, with old world writing on it. And another time saw what I can only describe as a pinwheel of feathers, that slowly went out my bedroom window, one by one. I know neither repetitive dreams, or hyponopompic images are not all that uncommon. But they are to me, since I have only been experiencing them over the last few months. Is it more common to have these experiences, once you take up APing?
In a nutshell, yes it is. I have put up a warning in the past here many times that said don't delve into the world of Astral Travel/OBE's unless you are prepared or willing to take on all that it entails. I awaken every single night in dreams now, usually to go back into them and change them. When I first started down this path, I had recurring Dreams as well. I think this was just to get my attention and show me I was progressing. Don't forget to write down your dreams and experiences, no matter how small an amount you recall. You will find that soon your recall will be picture. You will also that instead of just viewing these Dreams that you will have the ability to control all that happens in them. Once you do this you are Astral Traveling consciously aware.
Try flying that plane or altering it's flight pattern. Take control of the Dream, maybe you could move the telephone poles out of the way or elevate the plane so it never gets near the poles in the first place.
Good Luck and Safe Travels! :-)

Thank you Lionheart, I had a feeling there had to be a connection, since these experiences started literally around the time I took this up. I will take your advise and try and keep a journal of my experiences. Hopefully, there is something to learn from all of this.

I basically agree with this and will expand on it a bit. The OBE and astral projection opens many doors into different realms. Basically once those doors or pathways are open they will never again be permanently shut. Most of these pathways are positive and lead to benign experiences and encounters, yet, unfortunately, not all are. It is my experience to expect the bad or freaky dream and OBE every once in a while.
One trick for stopping unwanted recurring dreams (for me at least) is to meticulously write them down in a notebook. Somehow the act of writing a dream on paper Has stopped every repeating dream from happening again. Writing a dream down on paper must act as a note from the conscious to subconscious mind saying in effect, "OK I got the message, no need to repeat it again".

I will definitely give writing it down a shot. Thanks again.
