hello everyone i'm new to this entire forum and recently this morning I had 2 events of sleep paralysis and i'd like to hear yourguys's opinions on it
Ok so this starts out in the morning, I woke up for some reason at about 7 and decided to go back to sleep. As I was going to sleep, I was thinkin about wanting to induce an OBE. So I layed there for however long, and started to feel an electric current/vibration going through the deep center of my head. i played it cool and decided to go with it. Literally moments later I could not move any part of my body, and it felt like I was vibrating intensely and it would not stop getting more and more intense. My head felt like it was about to explode and my chest felt like it was vibrating now and I started freaking out a little bit. I tried moving my arms and legs but just couldn't, and it kept getting worse. it got to the point where I literally felt like i was going to self destruct and thats when I got way too freaked out that it ended, almost instantly. I woke up and was able to move and thought to myself "wtf just happend." Now keep in mind I didn't fully awake, but landed back at a relaxed state which I was able to be comfortable w/o vibrations. I calmed down and thought maybe thats a good sign of an OBE, and I thought, why don't I try it again and see how far I can get.
Now as I was going back to sleep, I felt a very, very faint vibration in my head, and I decided to try and focus on it and pin-point it. With focus and concentration, I was able to "flex" the vibration and allow it to take over my body and I induced the same state for a 2nd time simultaneously!! Within moments after boosting the vibrations I was completely paralyzed again and I started to remember why this freaked me out. I tried to keep my head clear with 1 goal, to have an OBE. I let the vibrations take me over and then things started getting extremely intense. I got that all too familiar "explosive" feeling and decided to take it a step further. What happend ended up freaking me out so bad that I snapped out of it again. I was starting to feel extremely unstable and I could hear myself snore/breathe. When I delved deeper into this state I began hearing only what I can describe as the noise of french police sirens in my head with incredible, shocking clarity. These sirens were accompanied by an incredible "vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv" noise/feeling all over me. My conciousness felt like it was taking on a crazy form and I felt 1 second away from blowing up. I then again freaked out and snapped out of the trance I was in. To my surprise, my heart wasn't beating violently and I appeared to be breathing just fine.
What advice do youguys have? is this intensity normal for an OBE, and how can I stay calm to let myself have one? is this even a stage of an OBE?
It's too bad because you were very close to going OOB. You must realize that one may experience intense vibrations while attempting to have an OBE but it's not neccessary to experience this in order to have one. Remain calm and relaxed and know that no harm is being done to your Physical Body. After one goes along with the vibrations, they will eventually seperate shortly after from their Physical Body and their consciousness will transfer to their Etheric Body. Good job on getting that far and take it a step further next time because the next step is seperation!
I agree you were close. And I think you must be a natural at this because you knew what to try the second time it happened- to manipulate the vibrations. Move them around, and try to make the vibrations much higher and even in frequency. Try to not freak out though. This can take some time to get used to. For me, the key to OOBE is the vibrations, but you can learn to bypass getting freaked out on the intensity of the vibrations, and the feelings of being freaked out with the awareness during SP. I started doing this as a kid, and as intense and frightening as it can be, I am here to tell you that the experience can not harm you. Easy for me to say, I know. I understand how freaked out you can get when this happens to you. In my blog (see links in sig) I tell my experiences with gaining control of the experience.

thanks Prophazuh, i appreciate the reply. I agree with you, I think I had it right somewhat but I wouldn't allow myself to fully relax and remain calm while I was in sleep paralysis. My mind just started racing and I felt highly overwhelmed.

ancient one, thanks for the advice. I find myself able to relate completely to your mentioning of "moving around the vibrations and making them higher in frequency." Thats exactly what I thought to do. What I also realized is that it's really not too hard to get a grip on the vibrations and intensify them, in fact, I found it relatively simple. I also find it reassuring to see that your description is almost identical to what went through my head at that moment. I'm glad to hear that I was doing this right. I'm going to try this again tonight and I hope to get to the separation stage. This time I'll remember not to panic and just flow with it. I'll let youguys know how it goes!
btw ancient one I'll take a look at your blog once i'm done writing this
When you feel the intense vibrations like that and are in sleep paralysis, tell yourself to float up or roll over and get up and start walking.
You were ready at that point. You just need to concentrate on your intent and remain calm.
Hi, (i apologize for my mistakes, English is not my native language :|). I had similar experience, but i have different question. First time i had sleep paralysis, i felt vibrations and heard weird noises ( random jungle sounds ), so i freaked out and woke up. After that i had sleep paralysis few times only those times i heard strange beeping sound and still i freaked out again and again, until i wasn't surprised anymore and tried to float out of my body, but when i tried to float out i felt serious pain and just couldn't take it, so i stopped trying and pain slowly got away, and at the same moment i woke up. This happened more than once and i don't understand why i feel the pain. Could someone tell why this would happen ?
