"The Visitor" ... Have You Seen This "Guy"?

I'm sorry that I can't help you, since most of the entities I have seen while "out" appear to be normal, human people.  I have yet to see any hooded figures, but I do want to thank you for sharing that experience.  I know you said you weren't scared, but if I saw a 7 foot being standing in front of my door, I would probably poop three shades of green.

I wonder if it's morphing was a way of tranforming into a figure that was less intimidating?  Or perhaps the different shapes that it took were representative of it's past life experiences (German pilot, etc.)

I've seen a slender, tall male being (black hair, hooded red robe) like the one you described.  I think he had facial hair styled in a kind of Snidely Whiplash way (if you remember the old Bulwinkle cartoons).  He had a female companion who was in her 50's or 60's, white or blonde hair, slender and attractive, and wise-seeming, wearing a long dress and/or I think a robe (something floor length).   She said something about my (present) spiritual guide. . it seemed that SHE was one of HIS teachers.  I don't remember what she said . . . perhaps something about HIS teacher arriving soon . . . but I wrote it down somewhere, in one of my many journals, a few years ago.

I was not frightened of the male entity . . . In fact, I got in his lap and hugged him, and he smiled, and I got this warm, loving, bonding feeling that left me a little aroused.  (how could I have gotten into the lap of a standing person?) Then, I woke up.  I wished the dream had lasted longer . . . . dang!

I can easily see how someone could have reacted to the male entity in a negative way, as if he were "satan" or something evil, because of his coloring (red/black = life/death in Celtic tradition), and the bad-guy facial hair.   Since I don't buy into the whole Satan thing, the visual effect was pretty lost on me, I just reacted to his energy pattern, which was warm and safe and loving.

Your post interests me . . . I wonder if it's they were the same beings . . . OR, perhaps our human minds project a lot of "preconceived-notion-stuff" on to energy patterns that we perceive.   Kind of like the way we react to human beings, if you think about it!  

Over the years, I've frequently dreamed of an older (older than me) couple talking to me.  These dreams seem significant to me.  My teacher has similar dreams about a couple who looks very similar.  We think they are the same people.  Perhaps dream teachers . . . who knows!?!

Next time . . . "feel" an entity before freaking out, regardless of what it looks like (which can be hard).  Entities seem to be able to "morph" into anything, but I've never read anything about a Being actually changing his basic energy pattern from benevolent to malevolent or vice versa.  Just a theory . . . worth checking out if you ask me!

After mentally replaying the events, I would say the the visitor was around 6.5-feet tall, as our hallway ceiling is about 7'2" tall and the entity was shorter than the ceiling by 6" or so.  And yes, if I were to see this visitor during normal consciousness, three shades of green would shoot out of my arse, as well! http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/images/icon_Smile_shock.gif" border=0> When I am dreaming (deep altered state), I don't have the typical fight-or-flight http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/images/icon_Smile_blackeye.gif" border=0> reaction generally ... which has been helpful during OBE's.

I agree with you regarding its morphing to a comfortable & familiar persona.  It only morphed the one time ... into a 20's male.  It was the clothing that changed ... which could be fluctuations in my perception, as I didn't have full awareness at the time ... by awareness, I am referring to awareness like one would have during the waking hours.

I did receive the past-lives reference that was inferred with it's "sometimes" response to my question.  Of course, it just dawned on me ... that if this were a "neg" entity ... it could have been referring to "sometimes possessing a body" (anybody's body) ... that would put a new twist on things.  I'll repeat though, I didn't perceive any negative "energy" from it.  After reviewing the event, I recall sensing that it was a slightly nervous talking to me ... as if it wasn't following protocol.  I'd like to know what its true intentions are ... why it's there ... especially since I saw it AGAIN, standing in the same spot, at the onset of my 3rd OBE.

Another thought just occured, it might not have been there for me at all ... my wife was sleeping at the time as well ... also, it could have been checking up on our unborn child.  There's a guzillion possibilities, so I don't want to assume too muchhttp://www.astralpulse.com/forums/images/icon_Smile_wink.gif" border=0> and at the same time, I want to ensure the safety of my family and I.

Thanks for informing me that you have seen a "similar" looking figure.  Was he as lanky as I described?  My visitor would probably have weighed all of 80-lbs soaking wet ... were he to remove that robe! LOL!

That's interesting to hear about your interactions with the male and female.  Was she in a red-hooded robe as well?

Yes, we as humans can and do perceive life through our own mental-filters.  I'm learning how subjective WE MAKE reality out to be.  It's so odd how different people perceive and respond to the same stimuli.  As you suggested, I'm learning to be objective in the Astral, so that I can better assess the entire interaction.  I'm also doing daily energy drills to strengthen and protect myself.

They were both listed in the Pychic Defense Forum ... are you referring to either of these posts?

I think that this "visitor" was present during an OBE I had on 7-27-02. I 'awoke' (OBE) to astral vision and sounds ... with fear/dread ... sense that someone was in the house.  I think I "saw" the visitor, again in the doorway (inside the room this time) for a VERY BRIEF glimpse ... soooo brief, I dismissed it.  However, reviewing my OBE journal, I think it was watching, yet then as well.  The 7-27-02 OBE was at night time (grey dim light ... astral sight), while the 8-8-02 OBEs (two), occured during dawn (could see colors ... red cloak).

So, I think that I have been visited by the lanky, hooded, red-cloaked "visitor" three times (that I know of).

Perhaps one of the Forum Moderators, or Robert Bruce himself, will read this thread and comment.

I was OBE this morning ... no visitor this time.  Funny thing is, that as I went through the bed room door, I WACKED the wall where the visitor was standing ... must have been a sub-consious "check" to ensure it wasn't there!  I lost awareness quickly (indecision http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/images/icon_Smile_angry.gif" border=0>) and then our house morphed into my parents house.  I still had enough lucid awareness that I was "testing" the OBE by pushing my hands through doors and pictures (I tore it ... DOH! they're gonna be mad!).  It's comical to see a door "flex" like vinyl, when I push my finger tips into it.

This might be slightly off topic but I was wondering if anyone has ever had an astral guide/teacher/visitor who was their past/future selves or from a past/future lifetime, or maybe someone related to them in the past/future or a past/future lifetime. Just a thought as things like this pop into my mind quite frequently. I'm not sure if it's a spirit guide or just my own curiosity doing this.

Though I am curious about this as when my friends and I had "meditated" in the past, only three years ago cause thats when I first met them, we'd sometimes get the feel of elementals, childrren who'd be in the woods, by waterfalls, playing, dancing, laughing, but sometimes they'd say they were our children. I think it's most likely that it was just us at the time but I do have something written down from then.

"One is in the water, she likes to swim. One is in the air, she likes to fly. One is in the earth, she likes to dig. Where ever you see blazing light and dancing flames she'll be there. One's in the spirit world, she guides spirits to their destination."

It was most likely our imagination but I do wonder if this has been experienced before.

From your description and what I've read and heard discussed her in the Forums, you most likely incountered Elementals.  There are "five elements" Earth, Water, Wood, Fire and Metal.  Do a Google or Yahoo search to learn more ...

IMPORTANT UPDATE
This is an update to my original post.  There are often times, when some of us begin to question whether our OBE experiences are indeed OBEs or are just Lucid Dreams.  Well, I received MORE CONFIRMATION the other day, regarding this series of 3 OBEs.

I neglected to mention it before, but in the 1st OBE, I ended up half-way across my neighbor's lawn, as I headed for my friend's house.  Remember, this OBE happened just after 5:00am ... and during which, I saw the flashes of a TV screen in the window of my neighbor's house (new neighbor).  At the time, this didn't make sense, because I thought that this room was a BED ROOM and that my new neighbor, being a young early 20's female who is generally up late, would be SLEEPING at this time ... I thought this to be an OBE Real Time Zone discrepancy ... thus, making the series of 3 OBEs to possibly be LUCID DREAMS.

Well ... I have discovered NEW information ... that to me, confirms the reality of these being TRUE OBEs.  I have started getting up at 5:00am to do some exercise and to study PHOTOREADING ( http://www.photoreading.com ).  WELL ... every morning, I go outside and jump on my trampoline for 5 minutes ... AND ... every morning my neighbor's window has had TV screen flashes flickering in them.  I have also confirmed, by a visit to my neighbor's house last weekend, that this room IS NOT a bed room, it is a "den" type room with couch and TV.

So, suffice to say ... this is the FIRST time I have received some REAL WORLD confirmation that I am REALLY having OBE's.

I thought some of you would find this interesting!

Thanks for sharing your experience, that's very interesting!  If only you could *consciously* understand those symbols ... perhaps a hypnosis session with a *qualified* therapist would help uncover that *unsolved mystery*!

I do remember William Buhlman mentioning the purple robed "watcher".  Wasn't the fellow a young bearded man wearing a purple robe (no hood)?  He discussed this in his first book and I had the image of a short skirt-length Roman robe.  If you still have his book, can you verify what is the true description he gave (I don't have the book, now).  Thanks.

BTW, Just wanted to let you all know that I am 90% sure that I SAW "THE VISITOR" AGAIN early Saturday morning.

I went to bed Saturday morning at 12:30 am EST, with my sleeping mask on as usual.  Just before dozing off, I began seeing occasional hypnogogic imagery.

At one point, I saw a young woman looking at me ... she had long flowing hair and appeared out of the blackness of my closed eyes.  She appeared to be caucasian ... as much as I could tell.  She might have even had some "translucency" to her.  It was difficult to tell as the event occured quickly and I didn't try to focus too much on her ... that causes my images to fade.  She kinda floated into my field of vision from the side, floated above my face and then disappeared.

Then later on, I remember seeing the skinny, tall, hooded, cloaked visitor floating about 4-5 feet above me, looking down.  This image was brief, as well, and had the typical (to me) night-time black-white-grey dimly lit Astral Vision symptoms ... kind of like looking through night vision goggles ... only the picture is visible in B&W instead of shades of Green & Grey.

I thought it would be fitting to post it here as well.  Since the original post, I've thought of MORE interesting information that is at least, of interest to me.  Read on if You ARE interested about "The Visitor".

I've been doing the wake-back-to-sleep LD/OBE method for a few days. This morning, after doing it, I had 3 different OBE's.

The first OBE was ... "wake up", leave the house heading for a friend's house, get distracted, step on something sharp (2D neg maybe?) and SNAP! back into body.

Now here's where everything gets REALLY INTERESTING! I normally sleep with a sleep mask on, so if I get visuals of the bedroom, I know that I'm using Astral Sight.

So, I 'wake up' from a dream and am looking around the bedroom. I look out the bedroom doorway and there standing in the hallway, looking into the room is an entity/figure, with the following features and apparel. The "visitor" is tall and lanky ... about 7-feet tall ... about 10" wide ... about 6-8" deep. It is humanoid in physical features/shape, as much as I can tell. It is dressed in a red hooded robe, like a monk or the Grim Reaper would wear. I can see the robe's weave pattern ... basic cris-cross weave ... appears to be cotton or wool material. As a side note, I can not see a face ... it's darkened out with shadows.

So, I am laying in bed, looking at this "visitor", and a odd/funny (to me, now) thing happens ... it bends at the waist, leaning forward into the room at a 45-degree angle ... turns its head, looking towards me, to "check up" on me (that's the impression I get). It's at this point that it recognizes that I know it's there ... so it turns to go down the hallway (slowly). My immediate reaction is to chase after it ... and BOOM! I'm right after it down the hallway. It's half way down, when I catch up to it, with it's back to me ... all I see is red hooded robe figure gliding down the hallway. While in my pursuit, I am asking, "Who are you? Wait! Who are you? Wait a minute, Who are you?" (I'm persistant, aren't I ?! LOL!).

It's at this point, that it turns to face me ... and MORPHS into a physically fit young human male wearing only shorts. He's about 5' 10" tall, med. length dark black wavey hair and what I would consider "German" facial features. While I can't remember if "he" said who he was, here's the following conversation I do remember.

We're now standing in the kitchen "chatting", but now, instead of wearing only shorts, he is wearing an olive drab flight suit (helicopter type, I think), half unzipped, with the sleeves cut off (muscle shirt cut). BTW, the shorts and the flight suit are made of the same material (kinda like parachute pants material).

I ask "him", "Are you German?"

He answers, ".. Yes."

... so I ask "him", "Where's Germany then?"

He pauses and then says, "England!" ... then pauses, thinking "that's not right" (body language ... facial expression) and answers, "Near/close to England."

I then ask "him", "Are you alive?" ... refering to physically.

He answers, "Sometimes."

... SNAP! OBE over.

Now, for the 3rd OBE. It's just like the 2nd one ... astral sight upon waking up (still wearing mask). Again, I'm laying in bed, looking out the doorway and see the tall lanky hooded figure in the red robe, standing in the same spot I had initially seen it ... only this time, the figure appears to be smaller ... about 5-feet tall and skinnier. As I notice it, my visuals start to fade, so I'm fighting to keep them and relax ... hold visuals for about another second or two and then everything dissappears.

I get up for the day, about 12 minutes after this last OBE. Well, that's about it for this mornings adventures with the "visitor." I'm still unsure about it's true intentions ... I'll have to ask it more questions when/if I see it next time. When I was talking to it, though, I did percieve "friendliness" from it. I did not percieve any "negativity" at all ... although, prior to falling asleep at 4:30, I did "sense" a presence floating above me, about 12-18" away.

And now, back to our regularly scheduled program!

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
I posted the above message in PPSD Forum, earlier this morning.  It's now lunchtime and it just dawned on me ... the SIGNIFICANCE of today's DATE.  Exactly TWELVE years ago, to this date, I had an EXPERIENCE .... which, looking back, I think was my 1st conscious OBE (I was 17).  Here's the long story short...

I basically wake up, see a formless smokey "thing" floating up at ceiling level above me.  I focus my attention on it ... and suddenly, I loose all body control and physically contort and begin snorting and growling ... I think this "thing" is a demon trying to possess me (current-level thinking at the time).  I can't move voluntarily, I can't speak voluntarily ... so I mentally rebuke it in Jesus name and the "attack" ceases.  Later that evening, I was visited in a dream by two "demons" in human form and Satan him self ... as well as an Angel that was there to protect me.  If anyone wants to hear the long version, I can post it up!

Looking back now, I believe this to be an OBE, due to events (nighttime grey dim light), my having sleep paralysis (unable to move), having astral sight (being able to see the "thing"), etc.  Recent ponderings on that very NEGATIVE experience, had me wonding if the "attacker" was a disincarnate being, instead of a demon, and the TWO VISITORS in my dream were an older male and older female in their late 50's or early 60's (Satan was a youthful 20's Red Head in all Black).  After that incident, I didn't have another OBE, until last year at Christmas time.

Now, I am REALLY CURIOUS about the significance of THE VISITOR this morning coming EXACTLY 12 years later ... anyone have any ideas on this ...

AND has anyone ever seen the above described Astral Entity that is tall, lanky and wears a hooded red robe?

Enquiring minds wanna know!

I would like to share my experience.  The last time I astral traveled was 20 years ago.  The experience was liberating and wonderful.....until the very last moments when my hooded figure was about to take off his hood.

At first I did not notice he was flying beside me until I looked to my side and there he was.   We had conversation telepathically.  When we landed it was in a park and I asked him who he was....he asked me if I was sure I was ready to find out.  I said that I was but at the last moment...as his hands lifted to lower his hood....I got really scarred and snapped back into my body
