I have about a zillion questions which i will stretch out vs. posting all at once. Many times my vibrations will occur within an actual dream which then instantly brings me to awarenesss. If i project from within the dream would it then be focus 3 of Frank Kepples model? Where the deceased are focused? Also-if i am having vibrations normally is there a technique to bypass focus 2 and go directly to focus 3? Thank you.

The focus models (Frank's and Monroe's) aren't meant to be taken literally... at least in my opinion.  Consciousness is unique to the experiencer, this is one major reason why "mapping" consciousness with such focus models is a fools errand.

If you become aware during your non-physical dream experience... you're projecting.  Don't worry about what subjective level of focus you're on.  Consciousness is consciousness.  There's no "collective" area vs "personal" area... consciousness is just consciousness.  When you find yourself aware, place your intent and go do whatever it is you want to do or experience.

Im not becoming aware ala a lucid dream. When i have vibrations during a dream i am aware of what the vibrations are and what i should do during them (project!)-yet i still believe the dream surroundings are "reality." I remember F. Kepple stating "It was very easy to experience focus 3 from a focus 2 state of consciousness.." Im not sure why you would consider the concept of focuses a "fools erand" but to each his own.

Can you really feel the vibrations in a dream?  I didn't know that was even possible.  I thought our dreams occurred after we have already separated and gone through the vibration stage.  I don't always experience the vibration stage - I assume it's because I'm usually unconscious during the vibration stage.

Don't our dreams take place somewhere on the astral plane - one of the many levels of the astral plane?   There have been times when I became aware that I was out-of-body (nonphysical) while dreaming, but I seemed to skip over the vibration stage. Again, I assume I'm just unconscious during the vibrational transition out of the body.

Speaking only from my own perspective, yes you can experience vibrations from within a dream.  It was a very unexpected and startling event, and also unmistakable. At the time, it also seemed to be an obvious demonstration of another form of dual awareness: In one context, I was still wrapped within a dream scenario; at the same time I was also aware that my sleeping body was experiencing vibrations and possibly I could manage to maneuver an exit within the whole mess...which I failed...lol. This has happened more than once...it occurs to me that this is just one more technique to be learned...it also teaches something about NP awareness...

For Rconrad, I suggest that it is an experience to be filed away for a later date, something to be better understood at some later time. This also speaks to some of his experiences being a bit ahead of his understanding; a good thing, but a frustrating thing.

Some of us are slightly behind the wave, others with the wave, some just ahead of the wave. It's all good...we all still end up crashed on the beach, slightly bruised and sore for the experience. Then we pick ourselves up and trudge back into the surf to do it all over again.
What fun!
Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.

If I'm understanding you correctly, it sounds like you are saying that you were dreaming and trying to leave your physical body at the same time.  Does that mean our dreams do NOT take place on the astral plane?

Vibrations within a dream has been the only way ive had vibrations for the past month. They normally occur just prior to or shortly after sleep. Yes-i am aware that i am already astrally focused when in the dream state which makes these vibes during dreams all the more peculiar. Thats why i assumed projecting thru vibes in the already focused astral dream state may possibly lead to Kepples focus 3. One recent experience i had as i relaxed into the vibes during dreams is that everything slowly turned into pure white light then i awoke to the physical. The vibes seem to "peter" out much quicker during the dream state. My biggest problem is that during dreams i am not aware that i am dreaming when i have vibes yet i am aware of what the vibes represent and i take the same action as i do when i have vibes in the physical. Its really bizzare. EV summed it up nicely by saying "In one context I was still wrapped within a dream scenario-at the same time I was also aware that my sleeping body was experiencing vibrations and possibly I could manage to maneuver an exit within the whole mess". Having vibrations is the only way ive ever experienced obes. Even when ive "stepped into" hypnagogic imagery the vibrations occured before doing so. I believe it may be because my mind is so gratefully and obsessively  focused on having vibratiions rather then intentionally avoiding them as i have in the past. My goal is to go ob without having vibrations as most people on this forum seem to do. Good luck!
