Hi,
One thing I can relate to with your dreams is that of authorities, I occasionally have dreams of authorities, authority figures and institutions, the atmosphere in these dreams is often heavy and oppressive, I feel torn between having to follow the rules of others and being free and doing as I would wish.

You say that being chased by the authorities is a common theme in all of your 'Stealing dreams', maybe that is worth looking into further?

I find that keeping a dream journal is an excellent way of reviewing recurring dream symbols, many dream symbols can be personal to the dreamer so looking in dream dictionaries may not offer accurate advice, over time and with similar dream experiences the true meaning of the symbol should become apparent.

In my case recurring dreams are often the higher self's way of trying to make issues apparent to me that I either could be suppressing or ignoring or that are causing me unhappiness in my waking life, I see these dreams as opportunities to resolve or provide solutions to the issues in hand.

You may already have more detail from your dreams, but if not try and recall how you felt when you were stealing the money, were you guilty or excited? Were you afraid of the consequences or what the authorities might do to you if you were caught? What was the atmosphere and setting like, was it gloomy or pleasant?

Good luck with your investigation, I'm sure all of the answers are there, it just takes time to unravel and piece together all of the clues.

Cheers

Sampson,
You made some good points. I agree with your ideas. I also believe the dream (in addition) is showing how to get around the authority mindset.

Wells,
Wonderful post. I have experienced a dream of stealing some object from this building. I didn't recognize what the object represented (small strange metal and unknown object) but I did have a sense of stealing it. I wasn't too concerned with getting caught, I felt in control of my ability to pull it off. It was kind of like if you wanted to get down to who really owns it? I knew I did. A game perhaps? In the real world, it's much like that. Tricks of the trade. One can pull off anything in a technical or legal sense. Spirit action (or intuitive sense toward empowerment) while awake is much like this. I can see many similarities in the concepts of magic as well. I think of the phrase "slight of hand" for example. I'm not as familiar with magic terms however. In spiritulism it could be what one "doesn't" say, or leaving some points open to interpretation.Or, just simply,"Don't act crazy" will suffice.[:I] This sounds vague, but I hope you get the idea. Many groups in society use these techniques toward their advantage and to convince or sell people their ideas or gadgets. This same ability can be used for good and not necessarily be for personal gain.

I had a dream once where I was getting out of the passenger side of a car. A witch was hanging over the top of the car door pointing to the ground. I looked to where she was pointing. There was a large round coin on the ground and I picked it up. After this dream I had the idea that I was being directed to intuitive skills. The coin can also mean a token.

I can't figure what the mars bar could mean. I was a regular customer in a candy store once in a dream. Something to do with a sweet cream filling stuffed in halved fresh strawberries. I can't remember right now if paying for it(money, coins, tokens) was involved. The main thing I remember is that I received what I wanted. [:)] This is a good progressive step in intuition working for you (if this is the right word). I'm sure the same abilities can be used with wrong motives in mind (such as a greedy mind).

Money from a safe could also mean retreival of something in a vault. A vault brings up more ideas of what this symbol means.A place reinforced for valuables or to place things buried.

I have found that money in dreams equates with energy. The ability or power to accomplish or obtain something.

The number five often relates to the fingers of the hand.Five also can represent the human form.

I had a dream of driving down a road.Up ahead was a blockade put up by a couple of cops. Instinctively I drove around the blockade and kept going. I could see them in my rearview mirror, they were following me in their car. I was a little frightened but I just kept going. I lost them. [:)]

What is man's law is not necessarily God's law. This has to do with what is perceived as one thing (accepted practices or traditions for example) is not necessarily true or accurate.

A factory. Where something is produced on a large scale.A collective production?
Olfactory - sense of smell.

A bag means holding something. Also represents the womb.

*In waking life if there is a blockade in the road and officers standing near by, I would approach it cautiously (lock my door)and be looking for an escape route in case the blockade is a set up for bad purposes. I would never allow myself to get blocked in in such a circumstance. The best thing is take an alternate route if not sure who these people are. This happens in real life, especially at night!

Wow, thanks guys - really useful posts.  You've given me some different perspectives to look at this from.  I guess I'll have to just let it all mull over in my mind for a while.

Hi there folks.  I've just in the past few months started to develop myself spiritually, and there is one thing in my dreams that I think has some signififcance.

I keep having dreams where I am stealing something.  At first I was stealing money from a safe, and police chased me.  I got away.  Thenn in another dream I was in a group of people who were stealing these weird coins from someone who dropped them.  Then in another dream I was robbing some strange factory thing with someone else.  Then in another I stole a mars bar (!) from a shop, and then last night I was stealing a bag of something from a shop.  In all these situations there were authorities after me, or at least I 'knew' I was in the wrong.

In this dream last night I actually realised I was in a dream, because when I left the shop out a back door I was in an area I'd been in when I was stealing the coins!  I tried to turn back to return the bag but then I was in a forrest and another 'phase' of the dream.

Now, first - I'm not a thief.  Obviously this isn't going to be related to robbery in the literal sense.

I've thought it may be something to do with greed, but I can't see anything that I'm greedy about.

Now something more interesting is that the number 5 has popped up quite a few times, very distinctively in the dreams.  I'm not sure I believe this but apparently the number 5 can mean karmic debts - I have karma against me for whatever reason.

That's about it I think - any thoughts!?

Thanks
