Hello-

I am new to these forums and this is my first post.  I am hoping someone may be able to shed light on a bizaare incident that happened to me last night.

Yesterday I was feeling very ill (sore all over my body, like I had been jangled in a car accident) and it came to the point I was requesting relief (or intervention of some type) internally.  I attempted to raise energy into myself.  I went to bed and had the following dream.

"I was in my home and a lady asked me to show her a trick with fire (I know none, and I never deal with fire in any capacity)  I flicked my ring finger with my thumb (like flicking a bottle cap away) and the end of my ring finger ingnited like a match.  It went out quickly and then I did the same thing with my other hand.
All of a sudden my "ring toe" ignited and my lungs immediately filled completely with sulfur-filled smoke.  I could not breathe"

Instanteously I woke up in my room and had to vomit badly.  I tasted the sulfur very strongly in my throat, mouth, and felt it in my stomach and lungs.  I am sure my breathe would have smelled like it.  I felt absolutely terrible and I sat on my bed for about 2-hours.  It is now about 10 hrs later and I can barely taste it.  Although, this morning I was very nausiated and extremely uncomfortable until very recently.

I am confused.

Have a wonderful day everyone!

Very interesting dream. It's worth pondering for a while. It might have reflected an illness coming on.

I've had a few dreams that had to do with taste and nausea. I pay close attention to these kinds of dreams. Can't help but pay attention to them! :?

How is your health now? Good I hope.

Logic

Why would the dream make you vomit, and not physical sickness or a flu create a bad dream for you? This seems to make more sense to me..
We are not truly lost, until we lose ourselves.

Thank you for the replies.

The vomiting was a result of the lingering taste of sulfur.  The smell and taste of sulfur is quite unpleasant in my opinion, and this is what was making me nautious.  And, just in case you were wondering, I did not eat or smoke any sulfur prior to falling asleep.  It tasted like my mouth and throat had been saturated with sulfur, and this taste faded away as time passed.

My health is excellent now.  I feel much better than I did before the dream.  The day prior to the dream I had a kind of "all-body" ache going on, and that has been alleviated completeley.  The whole ordeal seems to have had a negative effect that was only temporary.  By the end of the day I woke up with it, I pretty much felt up to par again.

Mainly, I am curious about the lingering sulfur taste/smell.  My life has nothing to do with sulfur, and I wonder how I could continue to taste it that strongly.  I know I was not imagining the taste.  It was similar to the taste you would have if you lit an entire pack of matches, put them out quickly, and then stuck the pack in your mouth, inhaling all the smoke.  It was extremely real.

Thanks again.  I wish all of you a wonderful day!

THiNK,

Just out of curiosity, what type of energy raising did you attempt to do?

THiNK,
It may be a good idea to get an idea or two from those who frequent the energy forum. It sounds like your making use of your energy, but some is also spontaneous.

Sulfur is associated with fire.S is also associated with healing, e.g. medicine and sulfur springs (mineral water).Could you have inhaled a medical treatment? Medicine is commonly known to taste and smell bad. And it's not unusual for the thought that "The cure is worse than the disease". I've read that sulfur is boiled to disinfect indoor space. It is inhaled in this case.

Since you recovered from your ordeal, this may be a healing trick. Something within you to do. If you had not improved from it, it could have meant something else.

The fingers suggest you have control of your energy at that level. The lower level is more spontaneous. The toe is in touch with the ground, so could this be natural or ground energy you experienced?

The not breathing part could have been a paralysis effect of your experience. For me, smoke represents the subconscious, and also the source of fear of most people.Look at society's attitude toward smoke these days.

I'm not sure why the added symptom of nausea and throwing up. Could it be the result of the emotional or something physical, or both? Movement (vibrational activity)can cause upset, especially if your not use to a particular activity.

Do you record your dreams?

Though directed toward a healing method (imo), still be alert to what might have brought this episode to happen. It could have been a warning as well (energy imbalance or hidden fear or problem) manifesting.

Don,

I used a variety of techniques for a period of 45 min to an hour.  Mostly basic "energy storage" excercises. I also used some exercises I learned in my Reiki training a couple of years ago.  These are all very similar, just variations of techniques enhancing energy circulation and storage.

Wisp,

Thank you for all of your insight.  I spent some time researching sulfur and I unearthed the same information.  Oddly enough, the dream did seem to have a detoxifying effect on me.  The part of the dream I remember most vividly (other than the smoke) is the ignition of my finger tips.  Only the ring fingers.  Something about that particular is significant to me, or at least I feel it is.

I do record my dreams.  A couple of years ago I began to train for lucid dreaming.  I started recording my dreams then.  I have been successful with lucid dreaming many times.  Lately I stopped recording them, mainly the result of laziness.  I am certainly going to re-develop that habit now.

Thank you all again for your time.

THiNK,
Glad you liked my insights. And glad to hear your back journaling your dreams. I believe journaling dreams connects you with your subconcious.Your subconscious is more active than given credit for.

About the fire at your fingertips (and toe), I do look at auras ever so often.Maybe this fire is aura related?  I can only see auras around the head and hands. I wrote a little about auras in the Metaphysics section if you care to read it.
link:oops, don't know how to post the link. Anyway, it's the only subject where aura is mentioned in the title at this time.
