You feel pain because your brain thinks its really happening so your brain is telling you you're in pain therefore you feel it.
I once had a nightmare that a lass was squeezing my *cough* golf balls *cough* and when I woke up I could feel the pain in that area, as soon as I became fully awake the pain went.

When you go to sleep are you tired? or not tired?

Kel-Et

Usually when I have this kind of dream I'm just normally tired from going through the day.  If I'm really exhausted I usually don't remember my dreams.  When I have this kind of dream, though, I wake up exhausted and stressed.  Then I have to go through the day tired.  That's the part that bothers me the most.  These dreams seem to come in clusters.  Usually I'll be fine for a while and then all of a sudden I'll get three or four nights in a row of them.

Since 5th of September i've had at least 3 dreams, in which i'm kind a magician and i had to battle with another magician. He is a weird man with mask on his face. The place where i meet him  is a huge custle, and there are enourmous halls into it. For three times i did win, but who knows ...

I'm not so involved into all that magical staff (i have red some books on magic from curiosity, but not much to be envolved into it)  and i really dont know what is this supposed to mean. I dont know who that man is and why we meet there. The most surprizing thing is how do i do the magics in the dreams, cause it's smth i have never  practiced in my conscience life.
In these halls there were some other people that i had to protect from the weird magician. Part of them i recognized as some of my friends but the other i've never seen in my conscious life.

The unpleasant part was at the mornings after the dreams. I felt myself exhausted as if i had lost my entire energy. Don't know ..

I found myself three times lucky (this psycho couldn't get me [|)] ), so i havn't felt the sensation of being killed or wounded.

If these dreams continue i think there must be a way for me to response them. Still dont know how, but in every dream there is a little clue that leads me further.

...So, i think that you have the strenght to continue. This dreams might be a result of your previous wishes. For instant you might had some thoughts before to be a warden or smth, to protect and so.
Most important thing here (for me) is that you must self defence. This is very important! There are many techniques for this and i think you should use at least one! Some of them have to be made before you go to sleep, some are useful into the dream (or AP and so). You also may do them daytime while doing smth else in case that anything trobles you or seems suspicious. Self protecting is a good strategy basicly.
You may try to talk with these characters who know about what you are supposed to do there. But take care, cause some of them could be cheaters...

And at the end calm down, please! Please! You are not going crazy at all, cause all this stuff is natural stuff. If you proceed to develope and learn some day you really may wake up as a warden!

Who knows!?   [|)]

Work your lucidity, it might help. Talk with the dream characters and ask more questions, if the dream gets to a point where it's to unpleasant to experience but you still wanna stay there say the word 'haddaboojee' out loud and you'll blow them all away.

by the way i've been having dreams like that lately, weird and very vivid. ask for your personal magic word for protection also, just ask it in the dream and it will come to you.

Thanks, guys.  Don't get me wrong, though.  I'm far from helpless in these dreams.  As a warden I can do all sorts of crazy stuff.  I can fly (sort of.  It's very clumsy and feels like vertigo), I can move REALLY fast, I'm very strong, I can move things without touching them, I can make things appear, I can I can even just clench my fists and close my eyes to travel thousands of miles in an instant.

Sometimes these abilities get blocked depending on what kind of place I'm in.  Once a gargoyle in my dream told me that some places are made by the minds of people who disbelieve in spirits, and that makes my powers weaker.

What do you guys think these dreams could be?  Am I having out of body experiences or just wierd dreams?

Yafey

Hi!
Well, i think some of them are dreams some are astral experiences. Basicly bigger part of the dreams are in fact astral experiences. But they seem like dreams. As far i can see you have serious abilities! Hm, may be you should work on your level of consciousness there. Or better find the clues in these experiences (never mind dreams or OBE) that are there to show you why are you there and so. I'm sure there are many of them. In fact they are the answer you are looking for.
That's what i think. Search in yourself, look in your thoughts and emotions through the days and nights. The answers are allways there just look well.
 Good luck!

I've been having semi-lucid dreams for a while now that disturb me.  I wake up tired and some of the stuff I see in my dreams is really not cool.

Basically I dream of being in these strange places where I'm aware that I'm dreaming, and have some limited amount of control over the dream, but there's also stuff that I can't change, no matter how hard I try and sometimes there are monsters or robots or other crazy stuff.

Normally I'd just blow it off, but sometimes I get killed in the dream and I wake up in a cold sweat (sometimes I shout as I wake up).  And I can feel very realistic pain for a moment.

There are some characters in the dreams that I see from time to time that tell me that I am a "warden" and that I am supposed to protect people or things in the dreams.  It seems to make sense there, but when I wake up I wonder if I'm going crazy.

Has anyone else ever had an experience like this?  Sorry to post as if this were some sort of support group, but I can't think of anywhere else to talk about things like this.
