How do you balance chakras to have a perfect mind and body?

So far I did RB's new techniques and I can direct awareness almost anywhere in my body except joints. I worked hard on my third eye and got a bad migraine so I stopped for a few days. I want to balance all my chakras to have a perfect mind and body, so what's the best ways you know? Can I increase all my chakras together while keeping them in balance, so that I can increase my energy levels or is it overbalancing them and I must always keep them on the same limited level without any increase?

The only thing that is "paranormal" in the Universe is our limited understanding of it.

If you can't direct energy in your joints, then more secondary work probably needs to be done. You should be able to direct energy through your whole body before starting any primary chakra work. Maybe work on getting the energy flowing through finger, toe, leg, & arm joints, then do full body circuits until you feel balanced.

Since bones are so numb I'm having trouble directing attention to those.

Hey TheDarkChakra,

I was looking for energy related information regarding my own practice and saw your post.  When I found part of what I was looking for I realized it also relates to your question and decided to share!

From "Astral Dynamics" page 134...
QuoteThere are no safe shortcuts.  If you long for psychic abilities, practice regular trance meditation and work daily on filling your sub-navel storage center.  Make trance meditation and energy raising a part of your daily life, and your energy body will develop in a natural, balanced, and healthy way.

TheDarkChakra

There probably are safe shortcuts but we dont know them yet.

Stookie

Zentiger has good advice. Shortcuts are for people with teachers. Without one to advise you, I would not suggest shortcutting anything. I've been out of balance and it's not fun (and can be physically painful). You will be MUCH happier in the long run if you take your time increasing energy flow.

I suggest you spend extra time on your bones and joints. Start by sending awareness through your toe joints until they active. Try "brushing" bones, and feel the bristles going all the way into marrow, brushing energy through them. It should only take a few sessions to get it moving more naturally.

TheDarkChakra

But hey, bones are numb, how do I get any feeling to flow there?

Stookie

If you can move awareness into them, then the feeling should come on it's own. It's not the bones that you feel, but the energy passing through them. Robert Bruce says it can feel like a "bone-deep tickling". I think the best way is to probably focus on your toe joints or finger joints. Rub the joints with your fingers before using awareness. If you can move awareness through other parts of your body then bones shouldn't be too tough.

Something that I did when I was starting was to imagine bb's going through my feet/legs (instead of sponging) and that helped bring on the feeling.  I also imagined a thick round bristle brush (like the kind to clean bottles) inside the legs and scratching the heck out of the inside.  That definitely brought on the "tingle."

This guy says to start working from the heart chakra and up, and says those are the most important to activate

But, Robert Bruce says otherwise, Robert says

I have found that directly filling either of the two higher storage centres is a very unwise practice indeed. This can, experience has shown me, have many adverse effects. It can unbalance the energy body and significantly lower overall energy levels. This is not only developmentally counterproductive but it can also have adverse affects on emotional, mental and psychic stability. Filling all the storage centres is a lifetime's work. So it can take several months or more of regular energy raising before energy levels significantly increase. This slow start is mainly due to excess energy (energy that would normally be stored) being used up during the early development process.

Who to trust? I don't know why but I have a feeling Robert's theory makes more sense...

I can tell you from direct experience that working on the brow chakra without working on the bottom chakras first always gives me a headache.  Once I even had a brow flash (which was very cool)- but that night I had the worst migraine I ever had.  If you can do it withour nasty side effects More Power To You.

Stookie

People take the brow chakra to be the most important for astral perception, but ALL the chakras are equally important. Something else Robert Bruce says is that energy raises from the base chakra up, so if the lower centers aren't active, the higher ones either won't do anything or use what little energy is available and unbalance things, a.k.a. headaches (which I've also dealt with myself).

Right, what he says makes plenty of sense, working on higher chakras is definitely possible, but not wise.
