Combining Visualization with NEW.

Ok. I have been practicing with energy for 4 years, mostly using visualization which really doesn't give me too much of a problem. Although I admit...it is a bit slow but still rather effective.

In all honestly, visualization has probably boosted my training with NEW, because there were times in the past were I was able to generate strong feelings of energy rushing through my body using visualization alone ( I had to work hard for months though).

All I have to do is visualize my aura flowing through my entire body and picture(feel as well) it moving to a specific place. It actually works, as the specific limb I try to move it too starts to tremble after a while and even get warm.

Recently I wanted to find I way to sharpen my skills even more, and after much web surfing, I came across this site and eventually Robert Bruce's NEW.

I must say, reading all the positive responses on this system and also hearing on how quick and effective it is, I could barely contain myself.

My point in this post is, given my experience, would it hurt to combine NEW and a bit of visualization ( I find it helps me). All I have to do is picture my energy and that alone causes me to feel energy rushing through me....so will it hurt? Yes, I know RB says that you shouldn't use visualization if your trying to PROJECT, since you need all of your mental energy then, but right now I'm only trying to strengthen my energy body.

I gather NEW can also be tweaked in some ways to make it easier, this is just one way I thought of which would be an aid to me since it hardly takes any effort on my part to do.

Also, how can I pinpoint the Sub-Navel? I've read over and over again you should just gather alot of energy you draw up into your lower abdomen, but I don't want to unintentually store it in the wrong Chakra. For instance, isn't your root center(primary) generally located their too? I want to try to avoid Primary work till I get the lower systems down like Robert suggested. So if I draw energy up, how will I know is my Sub-Navel and not my Root/Base primary? Is there a difference on how they feel?

Thanks.

Dark Crystal-
What Robert Bruce calls the sub-navel storage center is equivalent to what QiGong and martial artists call the tan tien (or dan tien as it is sometimes spelled). Its supposed to be about 2 inches below the navel.

As for praciticing visualization with NEW, I'm sure you could do it. NEW is predominatly tactile focused, but I believe RB says you can use visualization if it works for you. If I remember correctly, he chooses not to use it because most people have difficulty visualizing well or are uncomfortable/unsure of how to visualize.

Actually RB has his own website (astraldynamics.com) if you have any further questions specific to his techniques.

NEW is an acronym for New Energy Ways and was developed by Robert Bruce as an energy raising method.
Reality is what you perceive it to be.

Hi,

I'm very visual too, so when I am not able to "feel" the energy I use to project myself to some kind of landscape. The beach is a good one, because if I imagine surfs coming to my feet they automatically start to open.

In reference to your chakras don't hesitate and try to work with them all at the same time. I just had the same thought as you, but I found out that my heart and crown chakra where wide open, more than the root one. So, I went on working out them all.

The subnavel is also known as the "hara" or the "core". It's inside the abdomen. The navel's one is half inside and half outside and it's one of the biggest chakras. It feels relaxing, as if the abdomen were emptied of its guts.

Thank you for all your replies, fellas, you don't know how much this has helped. Now I am only one step closer in my training. Now if only someone would reply to my other post *hint hint* I would like different views and opinions on this subject before fully dive into training.

Thanks again.

I've found that with energy raising, after a while you no longer need to visualize or NEW-type sensing, just remember the sensations and they come fairly quick and direct them with awareness. Since it seems your already fairly good with moving awareness, all NEW would be is where to direct the energy.
