Hello.

I am in need of some tips and ideas for good grounding techniques. I have a VERY, VERY hard time staying grounded. I am naturally gifted when it comes to spirit energy and I have an overabundance of it. But I get ungrounded so easily..sometimes to the point of getting physically ill.

I am kinda new to understanding grounding..I was wondering if you guys could help me with some ideas. So far most of the things Ive heard are to go outside and spend time in nature, directly touching mother earth. Ive also been doing some experimenting with standing up and doing deep breathing and kind of sinking my energy down into the ground.

Please help! Like I said my spirituality has always been my natural gift. I really have no clue when it comes to this stuff!

Thank you kindly for your answers in advance.

Hi,

Simple practical things really!

1. Cut out stimulants, alcohol and narcotics. Correct me if am am wrong, but did I notice that you said that you smoke marijuana often. For some it may be a useful prop, but in the long run it is not really beneficial to effective grounding. Try to cut back if you can't cut it out.

2. Light exercise - outdoors if possible. Long walks in fresh air in the country side can do wonders.

3. Keep good company, avoid people you bring you down!

4. A quick fix is to eat... not to excess obviously... light healthy snacks especially after meditation or energy work will bring one back to earth as will liquid intake (water preferably).

Hope this helps,

Stephen

Well..I would never quit marijuana. The benefits outweigh the negatives by far! I have been cutting back though..I try to have at least three or four days a week when I dont smoke because I find smoking every night leaves me feeling "foggy" in my head.

The excercize is a great idea. I have a real problem finding and sticking to an excercise routine. I need to look into that for sure. Thanks! Unfortunately I dont live anywhere near the countryside..but the neighborhoods around here are nice.

Some other things that have helped me are focusing intensely on things that only matter in this realm. I.e. money..during times of intense spiritual development things of this world like paying bills tend to seem distant and unimportant. I spent time today organizing my bills and paying some of them off, as well as getting my bank account with enough money in it. Afterwards I felt a lot more "here" than before.

Thanks for the tips? Any other ideas?

Weed is great for power, but no focus and of course grounding issues.  And more than casual usage makes your energy body a mess.  It's pretty obvious when you see it energetically.

I find swimming to help grounding.  any large body of water.  Going barefoot helps a lot as well, joys of having the computer in the basement.  But nothing beats going barefoot in the park (hard to do in the winter).  I also use some crystals to help me ground.  I have a nice piece of hematite with quartz as well as bloodstone.  Those are mostly for when I'm out and can't conciously slip into a meditative state, I don't use them much anymore.

Music helps me also, mostly Enya or sea sounds.  Sometiems Flute, it varies.
There is a physical limitation upon how much light a human body can sustain. Interestingly, there is no limit on how much light a human vessel can generate. When fully enlightened you must instill your light in order to maintain its wisdom.

Allseeingeyes

Should the crystals be of any certain type or is it more the mental association to them? I have some beautiful glass crystals..and also some natural quartz ones. I have a lot of smooth river stones as well..which colors/types would be best to carry with me?

Rastus

Do a search on Crystal Healing.  Different crystals have different properties, and some will make you condition much worse.

Just another suggestion!

Ever tried Bach Flower essences? ... Rescue Remedy is always a good standby.

Best,

Stephen

You

I don't see what's so bad about people who bring you down.

Allseeingeyes

As far as people who bring me down..well..Im almost TOO good about that...in fact I tend to cut people out of my life for hurting me even a little bit. I wont allow anyone around me who upsets the natural balance of my energy by being mean, negative, stressful etc.

EOLOO7, I have heard about flower remedies but I really know little about them. Im going to do a google search on them in a bit, because I actually think one of my horoscopes mentioned something about them being beneficial or something.

Rastus, I definately will look into crystal healing. Although I dont really have any money or access to anything that I dont already have. :\ (just got layed off yesterday..damn it)

Right now Im going to go for a jog. Thanks for all the wonderful suggestions they are really helping me! :)

People who bring you down are a pain big time. On the one hand you can teach yourself how not to be drained by them sometimes but otherwise why put yourself through it. It's not so much they're "bad" but their energy draining and mentality is often not great for you, especially if you are trying to work on your own energy fields and other stuff.  Several of my friends are drainers. the more energy work I do the less I see them and the more protected I am when I see them, i.e I don't open up with them any more.
May your [insert choice of deity/higher power etc here] guide you and not deceive you!

You

Drained? I hope you mean just from dealing with them, not that they're actually sapping it psychically.

You need to learn to DEAL with people, not cut them out. You must become stronger than them. Running is not something to do forever, it is only temporary, it should never be a philosophy.

Seeing that you are without a job like I just was, try gettign a pan of dirt that is large enough to place your hands in palms down, then channel all your unwanted energy into the dirt. Also, if you don't have one or can get one, I find that Snowflake Obsidian. Hope this helps.
Question reality and all that you think you know.

Cutting them out IS dealing with them? I mean..WHY would you possibly want someone in your life who does nothing but take from you? Why would you want ANYTHING in your life that doesnt have to be there, that doesnt benefit you in some way? Now, we most definately HAVE to deal with things in life, obviously. Of course there are certain hard to deal with people that because of work, or family or whatever you cant cut them out. But Im just saying, if you can cut someone out of your life who is hurting you, in whatever way, I think you should.

You

You can learn a lot of things by dealing and interacting with difficult people, instead of running from them. You can learn compassion, negotiation, or (if need be) destruction and draining of your own.

You can't gain these if you run to a happy place any time someone you dislike comes along.

Smoking weed is nice to learn from, but one should not live from it. I have had the same problems. I had a hard time staying on the ground and being relaxed in situation. Remember, weed is like a tool, but eventually you must do the things it does yourself.
It is either smoke and float or non smoke and stay steady. If you would be firmly grounded, you would notice the effects of weed less.
I have some nice grounding methods, but I suggest using them when you have quit smokin, or they won't have effect. Because any energetic progress u make, smoking weed will throw it away again.

To be firmly ground can be done be litteraly standing firmly. Traing your legs will help you ground easier. But what actually is the function of grounding is relaxation. So for a stronger root, you must learn to be at ease at all time. Relax in moment of tension, breath naturally, and probably the most important thing is to have a positive outlook. Enjoy being able to relax where others tens up, take a cold shower and try to enjoy, you will see that it's not that hard to litterally stand stronger.

By the way
The more calm you are, the more you can learn, remember that.

Sorry I guess I see things differently. I feel I am an adult and can choose who I want to be in my presence. Those who are not worthwhile are simply not going to be around me unless they are meant to be (the times where you cant cut them out). I feel God puts me where I am supposed to be in each moment, and leads me into plenty of situations where I can learn those lessons you speak of.

Everyone is different..I honestly feel more grounded when I smoke some amount of weed (say, within a weeks time) than when I dont..I dont do it too much because it messes with my memory and leaves my blood feeling "sludgy". But as far as grounding..the grounding excercizes I have done so far have definately had an effect, weed or no weed.

I know what you mean about relaxing through times of tension. Forgetting to breathe is one of my bigger problems (sounds dumb, who forgets to breathe? lol)..Ive been trying to learn to be mindful of my body more.

tro-flow

Yeah your right allseeingeyes, weed does have the effect of just strengthening the way someone is. So it's sure is a lot different between u n me

Allseeingeyes

Its all about balance. Too much of anything would not be good.
