Hearing things when Relaxing....

Ok i was wondering if it is normal to hear things when you are trying to relax...

Not just things like hearing someone in another room, but like things that happend the day before.

For a while now i've been hearing things that happend yesterday when i try to relax...Like if someone droped something metal on metal i hear it VERY VERY clearly like it just happend... Sometimes it is something people said.

I'm not 100% sure how to explain it.
In bed my real love has always been the sleep that rescued me by allowing me to dream.

another thing is that when this happens all other noises that are around me dissapear....

Everything is completely silent except for the noise that im hearing.

What kind of relaxation are you talking about here? THe sort which comes from sitting down and having a stretch? The kind that comes from daydreaming? From meditation? From bordering sleep?

If you mean the latter options (i.e. purposefully inducing an increasingly deep level of relaxation) then it's simply experiencing hypnogogic hallucinations while still aware of them. These are usually sign posts to the onset of sleep, but with a bit of practice its easy to remain awake and focused while they occur.

i try to meditate before i go to sleep.

This is when i hear the things, when i'm laying down on my bed meditating, or sitting on my bed meditating.

This sounds very much like hypnogogics :). They can sound very real. If your goal is to OBE, then its a very good sign that you can maintain awareness at this level.

I've been trying to like induce them... concentrate on them and see what happens but i cant hear them for more than like 2 or 3 seconds.

Whats about the point that you hear things all the time, and by relaxing you just amplify attention on this things, which you would rather ignore in the normal beta state?

If you stay always "in tune" you maybe become aware of diffrent energies reisident in places.For meditations i think best place is in the mountains. :roll:
