I disagree.. Some people who focus more on their powers maybe do it to seem special, but personally id love it if more people had this hobby. For me it started with lucid dreams ...ive had those spontaneously since i was a kid. Then when i was reading up on them (after i learned what they were called) I came across other things I found interesting.

I dont have interesting in making ki blasts though or any of that. I do it to see whats out there. To really discover for myself whats possible. I dont tell anyone in my real life im into this so its definitely not to look special or feel important. In fact, if you're seriously into it I think you get a deflated sense of self importance as you realize how connected everything is and how much more we all can learn.

Nicely put. I realized after I posted that I also am not striving towards the all-amazing Ki-ball. The way I see it, that's not the most useful skill to learn as it is.

The way i see it, you should pursue it as a hobby. Hobbies are fun, and are based upon interests. If you aren't interested in firing little blasts of energy at someone, then pursue something else. Currently, the ONLY thing I'm doing is chasing after the whole subconsious dealy.

PS - I originally wanted to do all this ki stuff. I dropped that after a while... But it still wasnt all based on DBZ.

Seems to me that people come upon these forums for a number of apparent reasons.
Some for spiritual development, some for astral travels, some for a cool hobby & chick-friendly stories (non-PC there, sorry).
But those are not the real reasons, imho. The mere fact that one thinks this stuff is cool, or can lead to something out of the ordinary is an indication that the person at least subconsciously is willing to take a step along a path many people dismiss these days.
Whatever the reason it is a laudable step and at one stage we all have/will/do take the step for whatever the reason. Event if that reason is to bash the steps of others.

So whatever the position we take, however we feel about other people's ideas, opinions or views the fact that we take a position is an acknowledgement and in itself a good thing.

The problem this presents to us "serious folk" (hee snigger [

][8D])) is how to persuade everyone else to think our way.

I came here after being unsatisfied with another forum that strictly dealed with astral projection. Little did I know it was not the forum that left me wanting more, but the topic itself. I took to the idea of energy development immediately. I've always known that something of this type existed, but I never knew other people knew; it was also much better than I imagined.

I think people come here because something in them knows that there's more to life than growing up, getting a job, earning a living, retiring, and dying. We had career day today and I realized how much pity I feel for people who think that's all there is to life. It seems so...unhopeful. Energy training has given my life new meaning.

If you guys want to know why people think they can do ki balls, jing blast ect... If you look at there profiles they are the ages of 13 to 17 years old. when i was 13 years old i us to think that digimon was real when i got older i started to grow up and start hanging with the girls. all you ki blast people in 3 or 5 years you well start to relieze the trueth
