Whew, that's outside the context of my experiences. It sounds like you're having some sort of repeated "peak" experience, then dropping down into your usual level consciousness. Compared to the bliss, your usual level maybe feels worse then normal until you get used to it again. Or the peak experience unbalances your energy system/brain chemicals temporarily.

Only thing I can suggest is continued meditation and development to slowly raise your normal level of consciousness towards your peaks so you have more of a smooth ride. Of course, this will raise the peaks, but you'll probably catch up a bit. [:)] Also, strengthening your physical and energy body may make it easier to handle all that bliss running through you.

If you don't mind some tough going, Ken Wilber has little gems of personal meditation experience in One Taste.

One Taste provides context for practical exercises in Quantum Consciousness by Stephen Wolinsky (Ways to "strengthen" your consciousness to transcend those ups and downs).

And, finally, to strengthen your energy body, have you found Robert Bruce's New Energy Way's at:

Keep up those walks and recreation!

Please remember, I haven't experienced exactly what you're describing, so I don't speak with as much authority as I'd like. [:)] But I think picking and choosing from the above may be useful to you.

Anyone out there with more direct experience?

All the best,

Mark

i agree with kifyre. sounds kinda like your "head" chakra (the one above the third-eye chakra. can't remember it's name[xx(]) is opening up very completely. try making the fading away of it take longer, and that should counter some of the negatives (or at least some of the strength of the negative things).

or, try keeping yourself in that state indefinately. decide to stay like that. it will probably change your world if you do, but you'd have to decide for yourself whether you'll like it or not.

I also have had some degree of disoriention(does being out of phases sound right?) after peak experiences. I have used chiropracters who did energy work to help cope(also accupuncture), also any type of grounding exercise could help.
In the world in general and in this nation
May not even the names disease, famine, war, and suffering be heard.
May virtuous qualities, merit, and prosperity greatly increase
And may continuous good fortune and subline well-being perfectly arise.

Thanks, everyone, for the insight and tips.  Looking forward to more discussions.

Hello all, I'm new Astral Pulse and I'd like to start with a question that's been nagging at me for a long time.  I'm not sure if this is the correct forum, but here goes:

I sometimes enter into states of what I can only describe as spiritual ecstasy: my thoughts, emotions, and social interactions become dominated by peace and kindness.  There appears an order or pattern behind everything, and I am aware of and at peace with my place in this order.  It's wonderful while it lasts, but when this state fades my mind becomes very "noisy" and my thoughts cluttered, as if my brain is in overdrive racing in circles.  Also I become easily over-stimulated, especially by other people.  Sometimes I need a day or two of downtime and limited stimulation to recover from this "hangover", but usually it's diffused quickly by exercise, a stroll in the woods, recreation, etc...

What is the energy/spirit explanation for what's going on, if any, and  is there a way to eliminate the "down side" to this type of experience?  Thanks in advance.
