Title: Rock Music, aid or hindrance...
Post by: DMichael on February 11, 2007, 00:23:44
anyone also who's also too fond of eurobeat/italio disco music here...
do you supposed it's a/n aid/hindrance to OBE,AURO,NEW.. practice?
To me it's like wine, as long as it's with the sufficient amount and appropiate volume; it's an aid, overlaps-hindrance!

DMichael, I think you should try Hemi-sync. Where you could download it, well go to Demonoid.com. You would have to create an account first. Config search box Category: to audio book and subcategory: to self help. If you just type Hemi-sync it will just have a limited selection.

I like dance and rave music as well, I read someone had success with it. But I think its alot better if you use Hemi-Sync from The Monroe Institute, or the Brainwave Mind Voyages series. Those two seem to appeal to me most, but there are more, try them all and see what fits you best. Best of luck to you.

P.S. Registration is open only on fridays (or so they say). I was able to register on thursday, anyway, if you want to join faster, let me know. I can invite you, so you wouldn't have to wait. Anyway give me your email.

I think the sky's the limit as far as what kind of music you can use.  Everyone is different.  Hemi-sync helps me.  Some of William Buhlman's CD's helped me get over the hump as far as OBE is concerned.  I have also meditated on certain rock, jazz and classical pieces that were aids.  Experiment and see what works.
Happy flying, DH

Although that's not what i'm looking for, but thanks for the replies!  as for the story of someone having success in OBE or ... w/ dance,rave,rock.. well, since there's no such as everybody, so exceptions are a must.  Most likely, you want your mind to be as peaceful as possible in a serene atmosphere while doing OBE,AURO ... Healingsounds.com is one of my recommendations but i usually go with classical hits.(you can download the HS tracks from*free* Emule if you don't want to spend money on the cds, Our Ultimate Reality ebook is there also <"search">..)
As for the sky is the limit! don't remember how many times i have heard that phrase...  Is there a limit to mind, divine, infinite?! Right, the sky is the limit XD  I haven't meditate on rock pieces yet, but mediated after listening to eurobeat.  since life itself it's a experiment and no two person are alike, you'll just have to experimence what works best for you! Doesnt mp3 compression render hemi-sync tracks useless?
