I'm interested in learning more about Chakra meditation, but I have no idea where to start. I can find information, and I know the 7 main Chakras, but anything past that has been confusing.

How can I discern whether Chakras are blocked? Is it intuition?

When you meditate on a specific Chakra, how do you do it?

Any advice or references would be greatly appreciated.

hi Traveler, I made up my own Chakra exercise that I do a few times per week. There is a lot of info out there if you search, but you can adjust or come up with your own technique depending on what feels right for you.
Mine is doing Thai Chi movements completely free style every time however I feel like moving energies. I play the song from the Last Airbender (link below) and follow the melody with my arm and body slow movements. At some point I start spinning each chakra starting from the root, imagining free energy flow spiraling around my spine and going out my head into the multiverse. Then I move to each chakra up, until I imagine all spiraling in synchrony with their colors. Try to really feel them and become one with everything. You can imagine specific areas you want to address such as healing physically and emotionally, letting go, forgiving, trusting, etc. Because chakra blockage comes from limiting beliefs. The only way we can keep the energy flow is by addressing the beliefs that cause imbalance in the first place. Just by imagining activating and balancing chakras without addressing the root cause they will quickly come back to imbalance. You can recognize energy imbalance is by examining your state of mind. Are you content and reacting to challenges in a positive way no matter what to see what is the lesson behind the challenges and accept the opportunity to learn. If reactive negatively with fear, judgement and blame (yourself or others) you create imbalance yourself. I hope that helps.

A good way to check your chakra activity level is with a pendulum. Lay down on your back and have a friend steady a pendulum over each chakra, one by one. The pendulum should gently begin to move in a circle, the speed indicating degree of activity. If there is no movement or just side to side movement, this likely indicates inactivity and/or blockage.

Here's a question I have- As shown in the video, all the chakras rotate in the same direction. Is this correct? I wondered that each chakra rotates in opposite direction of the one next to it?

Is there a way to check without someone assisting you?

Hi EV, in my opinion there is no set rule. Energies move however we direct them and create for us whatever intentions we have. I move energies in all kinds of ways within me and around me every time I do this Thai Chi thing. Every time I feel very energized after wards. I have never felt that I have move something in a wrong direction. As long as you have good intentions, no fear and ensure there is free flow, then you are good.
On the other hand, we have to be careful what do we believe. If we think that spinning chakra energies in certain direction will block it, then our thoughts and belief alone will create this affect. My suggestion is to never place limits or rules on anything, because it is us who create them and then we have to experience the consequences of our own creations. Even if a "rule" has been established by the masses for centuries and it should not even be questioned, don't buy into it if you think that it does not serve you. If you buy into it, it will affect you. If you dont, then even if it affects every single person around you, it will not directly affect you because you have excluded it from your personal reality.
