Healing Plants

When I first started learning to consciously use my healing powers, I would practice on plants.  I had a few house plants that I kept in great condition and were always boyount looking and happy.  I would try different techniques like holding my hands near the plant and imagine a sphere of energy kept within the borders of my hands (like a fireball in Street Fighter or Dragon Ball Z).  I would percieve it to be healing energy and I would feel its effects on the etheric body of the plant as positive healing powers.  
This was me using my imagination.  This helped to sharpen my intent.  I would use my thoughts, my feelings, and my will and I would be honest with myself.  "I know I can heal."  Admitting reality, I suppose.

Anyway, does anyone else have experience in this that they would like to share?  Have you ever tried healing plants?  Animals?  Humans?  Yourself?
