whats the best therapy for tinnitus & hearing difficulties?

Can anyone recommend a therapy that's effective for tinnitus & hearing difficulties?
I've been suffering this for a while and I think I might consider going to see some kind of healer.
Alternatively, does anyone know a teach-yourself healing book that could help with tinnitus etc?
I've tried Silva Method healing but it didn't help much.
