I found this video, although I would never mock the subject matter, the execution of the ritual is amusing.

At the start and at the end of LBRP he does tha cabbalistic cross. Its not upside down because you imagine the ray of light going from your forehead all down to the feet.
I dont know why he didnt resonate "about me the 6 rayed star" because i thought you resonate it also but you dont visualize it. You visualize only blue pentagrams and a ring which connects them.

Yes, from my understanding some of the points of the ritual were a bit off. Maybe some one with a bit more experience in this could shed some light on it?
I am not experienced enough with this to pick out certain points, but his tone is sort of demonic...

ahh, yes I just found that line as the last utterance of the ritual while searching for it.

So malganis, all in all would you say this is an accurate representation?

I'm not an expert. I read a book on psychic magic (maximum practice, minimum theory) two weeks ago where this ritual was described and it's basicly the same. I'm not doing such a large circle. I dont know if that's better than the small one. I'm doing the middle pillar ritual every day and the LBPR two or three times a week. I have just started.

Little history if anyone is interested.
LBPR first appeared in printed form in 1937 when Dr. Israel Regardie broke the oath and published the book The Golden Down. Many magic rituals are described in it.
About 25 years later W. E. Butler presented the LBPR almost litteraly in one of his books.
The furthest with the interpretation went american hermetist Pitch who (by his one words) asimilated the hermetic knowledge independantly through the work with symbols and Tarot cards. He presented the ritaul as
a magic technique for grounding the higher cosmic energies to the material plane.

This is what is running thru my mind....

He's doing the banishing alllll wrong!!!!

First of all.. his muscles are waaayy too stiff for anything to channel thru his body whether it be white light, energy or whatever you wannna call it.

Secondly, he is drawing his pentacles backwards.  Instead of drawing banishing pentacles, he is drawing invoking pentacles.  This is like telling the negativity to leave, and then waving at it to come in.  He is also using his invoking hand, not his banishing hand.

And thirdly, He's pronouncing the holy names like a retarded person.

Just my two cents.   :roll:

Seems like a straight forward execution of Crowley's description of the LB.
As to the tenseness of his muscles, who knows what with the cothing and such. But if you are expected to decisively project the sounds you'll by definition seem over the top.
If you are going to perform a ritual then by gods perform it so as to leave no uncertainty that a ritual is being performed.

The interesting bit is why would you do this? (a personal peeve the eldest of members may recall I have)

i guess because of today's cinema, it looks more ridiculous than scary. it'd be better in a dak forest at night, with people in black chanting. but thats just the movies. maybe turning off the lights and having a few candles would've been better.
im not really THAT psychic. i just like to pretend that i am. :)
