Where are all these laws coming from? And why does each one gets its own topic?

Tisha

The laws come from the Universe (BAH HAH!) [:P] but sometimes you will find them conveniently described in books.  I made a topic for each so that people could discuss their opinions, and hopefully describe their experiences, from applying these laws to their workings.  Presuming there are people out there who actually know what they are doing, of course.

no_leaf_clover

There's a topic in the Quantum Physics forum dealing with multiple universes that's got some good info.

Tisha - just wondering, but why are all of these topics in all caps? o.O
What is the sound of no leaves cloving?

Tisha

Because they are UNIVERSAL LAWS?  I dunno, if it bothers people I'll change it.

We havent seen enough of the universe to say anything is universal. They should be called LOCAL LAWS.

I feel bad for whoever's living in the really crappy universes. Then again, maybe some individuals brought it upon themselves? Oh well.

We live in one of the "crappy universes"

Anonymous

yeah, but I think there are some REALLY crappy ones out there. Like you exist simply to suffer as much as possible, then die. Gee, sounds kind of like what hell is supposed to be like.

In the Eastern school I work with, our Sat teacher took us to a point on the inside where we could see that there was, indeed, a "control point" that supported 12 universes.  They are not like ours.  If you reach out and touch their energy, you'll have a very confused mind the next few days until it settles back down.
Beyond that point is another that controls 12 such points (= 144) and it goes on from their.  If you ever have this experience with a teacher (I have been there with him several times now) then the concept of infinite number of universes is not at all far-fetched.

I just had a very weird thought about Radha's universe / control point tree where each branch has 12 smaller branches. What if one of the higher points in the tree was equal to one of the lower points, the same universe / control point. A very weird shape emerges, if you're able to visualize crazy stuff like that.

Logic

How can there be laws if the only constant in the universe is yourself?

"I think, therefore I am" - Rene Descartes
We are not truly lost, until we lose ourselves.

Radha

True.  It is not a linear thing.  Any dimensionless point contains everything he showed me.

Tisha

The Law of Infinite Universes states that here are an infinite number of ways to view the universe.  There are also an infinite number of universes!  This law is a natural result of the Law of Infinite Data.
