Introducing myself

Hello. I have been researching the topic of astral projection for the last 2 years now, only to come up short. i read different books/websites and buy different cds and programs. nothings worked. very frustrated. would appreciate some help, advice, what am i doing wrong? i meditate, use affirmations, mantras, iso tones, i stopped taking it seriously and try to treat it more whimsical, no results. help.

my background
I am a 20 year old student from nj, very open minded. recently drawn to spirituality within the last 2 years, and have looked at various philosophies, spiritual practices. as a child i was diagnosed with adhd, and medicated. no longer on medication, and trying to find inner peace and stillness, have had a few interesting mediation experiences, but most of them end up leaving me wanting more, and i try to put this attitude on the shelf, but it comes back.

when i was a kid i wanted to be a pro wrestler, and would listen to rock music so loud i should be deff. was a very angry adolescent. after being in a relationship with an ex of mine, who was older and more mature, it really opened my eyes and made me start to wonder and look for something more.

One item of advice that comes immediately to mind is try not to get too frustrated. Different people progress at this art of astral projection/OBE at different rates. So what takes some people only a few weeks might take you much longer. Just stay with it and don't quit. You could have an OBE at ANY time, quite likely when you aren't trying and least expect it.
